Hey guys! Thanks for the awesome response to this video. Something I forgot to mention about the 92F frame was the non-radiused backstrap. Newer Beretta 92/92FSs have a radiused backstrap near the beaver tail. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, a quick google image search should clear it up. Just something to keep in mind for those people chasing the clone correct Samurai Edges. Thanks again for checking out that channel, commenting, and subbing.
Could you tell me where got the 92f frame. I've been trying to source parts to make my own but so far I'm having trouble finding a frame and Beretta discontinued the stock black brigadier slide they used to have on their website.

I have a question @Raccoon City Gun Club People are saying that the engravings on the RE1 Remake's Jill Samurai Edge are wrong. It should have *"Custom Kendo Shop"* instead of *"Mod. Samurai Edge Law Enforcement Use Only"* on the slide. They based this claim on Tokyo Marui's Jill Samurai Edge. Which is right on this matter?
Technically the Law Enforcement engraving is what comes on the "standard" Samurai Edge. Jill, Chris, Wesker, and Barry all had Kendo Customs, which is why they have the Kendo engraving. So it really depends on what you're trying to build. Tokyo Marui has the licensing and blessing from Capcom on their airsoft guns, so many people take that as canon. When I built this one, I was trying to replicate Jill's RE3 Samurai Edge, but I was under the assumption that it had the Law Enforcement engraving from REmake. Please don't mind me, I just feel like copypasting this to here. Anyway: In the game's Lore, The Samurai Edge was built under a very strict set of requirements: 1) As the regular R.P.D.'s standard issue Beretta 92F, it had to be chambered for the same 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge. 2) It had to have a magazine capacity of at least 15 rounds. 3) It had to have fixed sights and dotted posts. 4) It had to be capable of producing at least a 2-inch grouping within 25 yards, with no variation after 3,000 rounds. 5) It had to be capable of double-action fire. 6) It had to be ambidextrous. 7) When unloaded, its weight could not exceed 35 ounces (about 1kg). I don't know whether this video make the replica with the exact requirements but still, a beautiful piece nonetheless.
Beretta 92s already fulfill most of those straight from the factory. Only the magazine release is not ambi and Beretta doesn't guarantee a 2-inch group.
It could be a number of things. Is this happening when you fire only? First and foremost, make sure it isn't user-error. You could be hitting the slide stop when firing and not knowing it. Second, check your slide stop mags where they interface with each other? Is there any wear? Third, have you installed any aftermarket springs? If the recoil spring is too strong it may not be locking all the way to the rear. Just some ideas.
@@raccooncitygunclub I switched over the slide stop and springs, works perfectly. Idk if the Brig slide stop and spring are perfectly curated to work with the Brig- or the 92F slide and spring were so worn they were having trouble catching but that's how I fixed it! Thank you for the response tho!
Both of the Airsoft brands Tokyo Marui and WE Tech have Samurai Edge pistols. Since TM is based out of Japan, they actually are built with an entire plastic frame, but don't worry, the company has a stellar track record, it's not cheap plastic. WE has the same but in an all metal configuration, and in three different color options. The different variations of the SE are offered by both companies but are either expensive, sold out, or both. Definitely do your research before you buy.
Yep. No problem. Although the 92F didn't have the enlarged hammer pin from the later series (including the brigadier), so I swapped that to the 92F frame.
Hey this build is Awesome and inspired me to get a Beretta 92F to start my own Samurai Edge Build but I have 1 question where did you get the Brigadier Slide? I can't seem to find one on its own or without buying a model with it already on it? Also Love the content!
Sometimes you can find Brig slides for sale on forums or places like eBay, but in my case I just bought a new Brigadier pistol entirely to get the slide. Expensive project!
There's some dispute about that in the community. So the answer is "yes and no." I actually have a Kendo slide now as well, just need to make an update video soon.
@@raccooncitygunclub you can turn your mod samurai edge into a standard model. I have the standard model. I think the standard model is the coolest since it’s the most realistic
Nice. It occurs to me the Beretta 92/92FS/M9 pistol series is probably the ideal anti zombie pistol. The pistol is incredibly durable/reliable and accurate right out of the box, never mind trigger jobs for necessary zombie head shots. 15 round magazines allow some forgiveness for bad shooting or mass zombie encounters. Only the 7.5 FK Brno Field Pistol with its long range accuracy and ability to switch between 9mm, 10mm, and .40 S&W is potentially better. But its durability/reliability is relatively unproven compared to the Beretta. And of course it was never in the game.
Disagree. Too many moving, exposed parts. If you have the luxury of an armory/armorer, cleaning supplies, and spare parts sure… but there is a reason the Glock 17/19 is the most popular pistol in the world. Few moving parts, loose tolerances, utterly reliable. In a world without infrastructure you won’t have access to spare parts. The 92 looks cooler and is more accurate, but your accuracy as a shooter is going to be exponentially worse than any difference it could make in the handgun. The perfect apocalypse pistol remains the Glock 19.
@@SolomonSamson747 Please stop fanboying. You'll get your keyboard sticky. The Glock is a fine and reliable pistol. I don't care as much that it's the ugly Honda Civic of the gun world. At the end of the day it runs fine in the hands of even a somewhat competent user. But out of the box it has a crappy, spongy trigger which makes for iffy accuracy. That's why most Glock fans get a trigger job first chance they get. They're also snappy thanks to the poly frame and if an n00b screws up and limp wrist it it'll jam like the worst junk. Don't tell the Austrians their pistols have loose tolerances. They'll stop selling you their guns. Glocks are just as vulnerable to worn springs and parts as Berettas. I carried a Berettas in the Army for 4 years. The damn things were 20-25 years old and had thousands of rounds through it before I even touched them. Each ran like a top and helped me shoot Expert every time. The first gun I ever purchased was a Glock 17. It was OK. I could hit stuff with it but head shots were off the menu. And that was despite the fact it felt _better_ in my hand than a Beretta's thicc grips. In the end a Glock is at best only as good as a Beretta for the RCPD. Though at its worst only slightly inferior. But they ain't the be all and end all of the gun world. Thank your God you didn't have to debate a Sig fanboy.

I badgered DSGrips for a little over a year to make me some grips for my Vertec and/or just sell me a few medallions to make my own. They refused to answer me in any way. I eventually gave up sending them monthly emails and assumed they were either a fake company or out of business.
Yeah. I've had similar experiences. In this world of custom gun parts, the sellers are usually 1 man companies that have limited time or stock. Or sometimes they have personal issues that take them away from work for awhile. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when they don't email back after months and months, it's frustrating. Sorry you had a bad experience.
I am a customer of DSGrips. It took 4 months from my initial email to him to get a response. It took somewhere around 359 days from initial email to grips in hand. As far as I am aware he is a one man operation and RE2Remake had come out a few months after I contacted him so I'm sure he was absolutely swamped. It is what it is. I can say that my grips turned out really nice. I opted for an ever so slight color variation by choosing Rosewood (it's got a bit of a red hue to it) and I love it. My only gripe is that his grips are meant to be used without the star washers which means that the grip screws dig into the magazine a little bit. This makes an empty magazine a little stiff to fall out when ejected and required me to file down the grip screws.
@@AdmiralXyes Hmm, thanks. Maybe I'll give it another shot. I've kinda already settled on Hogue grips for my 96 Vertec, but I might try to mod some STARS emblems into them if I can get his attention. My 96 Vertec is all crazy modded out, looking like a prop from some kind of monster movie. I bought a custom compensator made by the guy that worked on the Underworld movies handguns, and a few others. It's pretty sick looking and I think some STARS logos in the grips will really finish it off nicely.

They're out of stock. I really want to do this to my 92fs, even though I rarely ever take it out of the safe.
Very cool
How much would you say the whole build cost?
Amazing!
If only 9mm didn't cost as much as all the gorgeous custom work on this gun
I feel you there.
How'd you get the slide? I'm thinking of just going with a 92fs inox brigadier and cerakoting it black since it's gonna need to be refinished after engraving anyways
The slide came from a standard Beretta Brigadier pistol. Non-inox. You can sometimes find the slides for sale separately online (eBay, GB, etc) but they cost nearly as much as the whole pistol.
Do you think that newer RE games will have newer guns like the Henry X or the Melin in all the customization that they have?
Who knows? Every time I think I might know what guns Capcom will use, they completely blindside me and throw in crazy ones.
@@raccooncitygunclub It would be Cool if Leon had one in RE4 remake, he probably wouldn't have any problems with any of the zombies in game no matter which ones
Found this on my recommended, not disappointed at all. Pretty cool Samurai Edge remade for real 1:1! 👍
What other guns do you plan on trying to make a reality on?
Thanks! I guess we'll see. I still have a few more things to show you guys and plan to keep collecting and building what I can!
It will take a pretty penny to make Barry's .500 Mag...
I saw this vid pop up on my feed and I'm already in progress of modding my M92FS to replicate Jill's samurai edge. I got with DS grips to get the grips and eventually get with customizedcreationz to get my slide done. It's the first gun I got back in '13 and seeing it at an FFL and I wanted it as the fandom for Resident Evil kicked in when I saw it. I'm not much active on here, although I intend to share it on my IG once it's all done.
Hell yeah! Love to hear more people making SEs.
@@raccooncitygunclub Do you have other social media I can share my content with? I’d like to see you grow. I also have an FN Hi-Power (Claire’s sidearm from RE2) and a repro Gen 1 G17 (P80 repro from Glock) that is the first gun we get in RE Survivor. I know that Survivor didn’t do well for its time, but it is the reason I have the Retro Glock I picked up recently.
@@4thSurvivor1990 Hey, sorry I didn't see this comment sooner. TH-cam is weird when you start getting a lot of replies. I only have an Instagram account, still under Raccoon City Gun Club, but I don't post there too much. I'm pretty jealous of your Hi-Power. I don't have one (yet) and a missed out on a really good deal during a gun show many years ago. Still been kicking myself over that one.
where do i order one?
Wesker uses a Beretta 92 brigadier and Barry use a Beretta 96 (it's a 92 in 40 S&W)
I like a clip on TH-cam Only once a year .
And this one definitely deserved it .
Just perfect, thank you very much .
Thank you!
Please don't mind me, I just feel like copypasting this to here. Anyway:
In the game's Lore, The Samurai Edge was built under a very strict set of requirements:
1) As the regular R.P.D.'s standard issue Beretta 92F, it had to be chambered for the same 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge.
CDW is also releasing MGS3 1911 parts, which I am really excited for
They should release Patriot parts and the drum mag.
My Beretta Brig slide isn't catching when emptt on the 92f, what can I do to fix this?
How can I get one even if it's a bb version bc I live in nyc god I want one
Both of the Airsoft brands Tokyo Marui and WE Tech have Samurai Edge pistols. Since TM is based out of Japan, they actually are built with an entire plastic frame, but don't worry, the company has a stellar track record, it's not cheap plastic. WE has the same but in an all metal configuration, and in three different color options. The different variations of the SE are offered by both companies but are either expensive, sold out, or both. Definitely do your research before you buy.
did your brigadier slide fit no problem on the 92f frame?
Yep. No problem. Although the 92F didn't have the enlarged hammer pin from the later series (including the brigadier), so I swapped that to the 92F frame.
Mmmmmmmmmmmm-hhhmmmmmmmmmm!
Beretta 92f
(Real) Samurai Edge
Nnnnnice!👌
Hey this build is Awesome and inspired me to get a Beretta 92F to start my own Samurai Edge Build but I have 1 question where did you get the Brigadier Slide? I can't seem to find one on its own or without buying a model with it already on it? Also Love the content!
Sometimes you can find Brig slides for sale on forums or places like eBay, but in my case I just bought a new Brigadier pistol entirely to get the slide. Expensive project!
Shouldn’t the jill model say kendo custom shop instead of mod samurai edge
The RPD didn’t buy these guns to kill zombies. They bought them to kill people. They’re plenty good at that.
@@SolomonSamson747 And for the same reason they're good for zombies - high capacity magazines, durability, reliability and accuracy.
@@EricDaMAJ BuT I wAs iN tHe ArMy… ah yes the old “thank me for my service” line. Congratulations!
She's a real beauty.
Thank you!
How much did that cost you I've been wanting one forever. Diehard resident evil fan and one of the main reasons I purchased a Beretta
You can expect to pay between $1500 and $2000 depending on how you go about doing it. Maybe a little more in the current market, with everything being inflated a bit.
I want to build one like yours so bad. But I'm currently in the middle of making an H&K USP Match clone like Lara Croft's so I don't have extra cash to start another clone gun lol.
Oh, that sounds awesome though!

I'm making mine out of the Beretta 92X. 😊

I don't carry this, sad to say. I used to carry a 92FS Compact with Samurai Edge grips though, so close enough!

We need a Wesker model
Maybe someday. I have another Brigadier slide ready to get the Samurai Edge treatment!
I thought one of them was chambered for .40 S&W- maybe that was the under 3-hour prize pistol..dont remember.
Itchy
Tasty
I’m having trouble finding a black brigadier slide for my 92fs before I have it sent off for the machining and engraving. Nobody literally NOBODY save for some Z Lounge asshole asking $800, sells the damn brigadier slide.
Based on Midwest and brownells (all discontinued lol) slides for the beretta series, this thing should only run about $200-300 tops.
So much for this dream build.
They're tough to find for sure! I always say it's more worth it to purchase the whole Brig gun, because the slides are about the same price...
