Here's Brad's amazing performance of Golden Slumbers off of his new album Your Mother Should Know. It's such a great song! It was a tough one to transcribe because there are a lot of subtleties and Brad passes the melody back and forth between his hands. Also, check out these funky low lines in the left hand! I’m always the amazed at the detail and accuracy of your work, Michael. I’ve been collecting transcriptions of Brad Mehldau’s music for years and just feel enormously fortunate to come across your craft. This is another of Brad’s masterpieces and your transcription brings to light the simplicity and complexity of Brad’s arrangements and solo approach. Thank you for making this available. - Arvin
"Dear Prudence" quotes in the extended vamp (?).... I like to think Brad is bringing John and Paul together with some deep love :) ... and of course the immortal Chuck Berry makes an appearance .... thank you Michael for this priceless transcription
Great and hard job to transcribe this amazing version👏👏 Do you know why this live performance is not available on TH-cam? Just this video of you with the score but no other videos of the original live recording from the album
Is the pdf transcription equal to the one in the video, because as much as i try i just cannot make it seem right. In the beginning he plays the melody in the left hand, and in the sheets its not there. Am i missing something here?
Yes, the PDF of this is the same as the scrolling video. The opening statement of the melody is split between the left and right hands in a few places, but is mostly played with the left hand. I'm not really sure exactly what parts you are saying are not in the PDF?

great work , thanx :)
The skill he has for the control of finger independence to bring out the melody over the harmony is amazing.
Hardly ever see this outside of classical artists. A seemingly simple, yet very difficult skill.
Breathtaking. It really brings out what good bones this song has, and also Mr. Mehldau's prowess on the keys.

No one is doing what Brad does. Wow.
Guy coughing is killing me
i much prefer his playing when he is with someone with more fire, like joshua redman....
