Wow! This bow is a work of art. I see some people shooting arrows on the right side of the riser and other people on the left side of the riser. I'm curious to know the side of the riser the old-time warriors placed their arrows.

BEAUTIFUL BOW.
CAN I HAVE THAT BOW?
o q fazer para adquiri um desses?
Which wood you has used for making this bow???
The bow is definitely art, and your patince to crafting it is to admire, so is your patince to grow such a long hair lol.
But the string on your bow doesn't serve it good.
I don't know what kind of wire you guys use to make strings but is waaaay too thick and too overkill.
My mother is a tailor and she has alot of thread, and i don't know to tell you from where to buy this but i found amoung the thread she use a nilon one, is very thin, and one of those wires have a 5.5kg breaking point. And the way i make my strings is by calculating how many wires i need to achive the poundage of my bow and and another 60%-70% to that more.
Let's say i need a string for a bow wich is 100lbs, i make the string to hold 160lbs. So it can hold the shock on release, you can even experiment to go lower than that.
My bow is about 90lbs at full draw and the string on it is like a 30% of yours on your bow.
And i tell you, the string influences the speed of the bow ALOT. The lighter the string the faster the bow and less vibrations.
Also the wraping around for nocks and arrow rest should be minimal, on the arrow rest you just need were your fingers touch and nothing more, and on nocks the same, just enough to hold the string together.
Try to make a string as i said and you will see a huge difference. Go to a tailor shop, you should find this nailon wire. You could try with fishin wire, but that is pretty expencive and usually has wax on it, wich makes it heavier. I experimented with alot of wires for string and this nailor thin wire i found in my mother's box with threads is the best. Unfourtunately is very old and doesn't have any brand name on it or something. But most definitely you will find it in a tailor materials suply shop.
*I've searched a bit and found out is called polyester thread. Not the thick waxed one for leather. This one is for clothes and is very thin
Usually for clothes is used cotton thread, but there is in same thickness polyester thread too that is what you want to build good strings. Don't use the waxed ones and don't wax your string after you make it, it only makes it heavier and slows down the bow adding more vibrations on release. Before polyester threads for strings they used natural materials to make strings and those materials tend to decompose simply to being exposed to water or oxygen, this is the reason why they waxed their strings, nowdays with polyester you don't need to do that.
Thank you for the tips
While this is a beautiful bow, the poundage seems rather low. What is the poundage of this? Is this Tibetan or Mongolian bow? How much would this cost?
