I see skylines, S15's, Supras, All the JDM fruit daily here in AUS.. being a Texan import it still makes me giddy to see em haha. I dunno how people can get over it. i love seeing these cars on the road. The 90's were the last generation of amazing road machines in my book.

I didn't get how Aussies didn't get excited about Skyline GT-Rs... Until we started seeing Teslas EVERYWHERE in Oslo (because they are 100% tax exempt). So seeing a Model S, 3 or X is literally like spotting a Volkswagen, it's absolutely nothing special about them anymore. But when foreigners come here they get so excited lmao

This is why I like the skyline, and generally speaking, the skyline owners.
I'm a massive fanboy for every skyline, I won't lie about it.
But every time I've talked to someone with one, they've been friendly, eager to share the experience of the car, and easy to get along with, even if you don't have the best social skills like me.
I've never felt more personally connected to an object than the GT-R, though.
And that's why no matter what's faster, what's more practical, what's got the better interior, what has the best MPG, my dream will always to have at least one car with the GT-R badge in at least the driveway.

First time I saw a skyline, it was dark out. Was sitting in the left turn lane waiting for the light, and saw a car on the opposite side of the road, the headlights didn't seem like any car I see here but look familiar. Spotted little bits of the front bumber & that's when I started thinking "no way". Then, I saw the guy moving on the right side, that was when I knew what I was looking at. Didn't really get to see it, until the second time I saw it.

For as long as I can remember growing up I wanted an Rx7 FD (as you may be able to tell by my pic) I rode in one for the first time when I was 7, and it blew my mind, changed my life. It was the first fast car Id ever been in. when I was just starting to get into cars with my older brother. I haven't owned one yet, but I have had the ultimate dream goal of a really clean well running one, until 2 months ago, now that they are showing up, I got to ride in an R-32 for the first time, and my first time ever in a GTR, through a friend of a friend, and while mostly i just rode passenger, the last 10 miles or so back (went on a 90 mile short trip in it.) and my life will never be the same. sorry Rx7, you're #2 now, as the GTR was so much crazier, and reliable!!!! lol
edit, wanted to mention now I'm coming back to every R32 video I've ever seen lol

I just got done owning a 92 GTR for 6 months. The car was a 3.5 auction grade with only 56,000 kilometers. The car was a garage queen and it showed when I started driving it multiple times a week. Multiple oil leaks developed especially from the front crank seal, master cylinder started leaking, headlight switch barely worked, Crank angle sensor went out along with many other little problems. The problem is getting parts from Japan as the shipping is soooo slow. I would recommend a higher mileage one.

Mine was 3.5 grade as well with 73kms original. And it has rust(undercarriage) that wasn't mentioned on the auction sheet. And it had rod knock. Never going through auction again.

I had a ‘93 TH1 BNR32 V-Spec with a BNR34 V-Spec motor in 2009 for about 6 months. It didn’t change my life. I bought a Z32 on a whim a year later, and haven’t looked back since. The BNR32 is an amazingly capable car, but it’s by no means such a “Godly” machine. It’s only special because it was never sold there (I’m in Canada).
In any case, compared to an FD3S or an NSX NA1, the BNR32 feels like a rock solid heavyweight. I personally didn’t like that feeling. I wanted something solid, reliable, but also loose. I never even considered the Z32 until I drove one after driving literally every JDM RHD car available to me. The drive changed my life - I realized that it was the car to have before stepping up to the 997 911 (my next car).
The GT-R is an amazing GT car. It is not, however, a fun, jumpy, snappy car.

having a 68 mustang for 13years here in new Zealand for which I sold and got a r32 gts coupe. RB 20 DE. [even tho I still miss the pony]. But the skidder does change your life a little .we got em way before fast,n,furious came out lol. And tho the skidders was easy to get here. I still had people coming up to me if I want to sell it.But having that car for 18 years before it got stolen. I remember seeing the skyline on a tv add over here. showing it passing a car with HI-CAS working. no body roll

Ever since I imported my first GTR R32 in December of 2016 I was taken back at just how good of a car these R32 GTRs really are. For a car that was conceived during the 1980"s it is way ahead of anything from that era and beyond. Everything you have heard about them is all true. Yes it has limitations as any vehicle does and yes in its "stock" form 280hp may seem to many, compared to todays cars, as not much to brag about. I tell you there is nothing else I rather drive at this point. What Cardo_GTR is doing to his GTR is beyond awesome. Check out his channel and you will be amazed. It has definitely changed my views on sport cars and how good of an all around car it truly is. Great vid, thumbs up.

American buyers did ruin the prices of R32's in the market, especially GTR-R's. People I know bought 2-3 GTS-T's for +/-4,000-5,000, put them in storage for months up to a year because '91-'92 and when legal in the U.S put them for sale on Facebook and such and cashed out with sometimes double the profits because people in the U.S were paying so much for even just an RB20 R32, a lot of us here in Canada did this. But I mean, a bigger community is always nice !

With that being said anything other than maintenance is like investing your life savings into Enron; Skyline Tax is OP.
