few things. 1. Marching at Disney WORLD (no idea where this video was taken) is SUPER fun.2 It was BLISTERING hot when we were there.3. Very good Carolina Crown!!. 4.Sunburn + Uniform= unbearable pain. this is what we had to wear at Disney. (ugh so hot) th-cam.com/video/v9pKtNNEhaw/w-d-xo.html
Mike Disney really was fun! But after being in the sun for like 3 hours and then marching a parade it was really hot. Even though the parade was only like 15 or 20 minutes long it was way harder than one of our other parades that was like an hour long
I guess Drum corps really aren't a parade type of bands/corps. Each individual rows were jaggy.(I know that they are not bands, I just do not know what word if better to say what are they.)
well you cant really fault them, they spend most of their days rehearsing their actual show and might have only had a couple of hours to work on the music and marching for this parade
Drum corps are non-profit. Members do not make money out of it, if anything, they all have to sponsor themselves for their competition season which annual cost run beyond millions. So yes, they do parades to help pare the cost of existence. Sorry, but they (drum corps) would put most "marching bands" to shame in musical quality, it's not even close. Their main existence is field competitions/shows, not parades. In fact, "marching bands" today (here and abroad) are what they are thru emulation of drum corps since the 70's. Many instructors of bands are former drum corps alumini.
I love how controlled they have to be. Must be hard to be one of the most powerful horn lines on earth and have to play mp the whole time
Yeah, but the drumline doesn’t seem to change their dynamics
@@drummersnare6276 Extra points for car alarms haha!
I would freak out if I was at Disney springs and crown randomly marched through!!
Garret Koehler yeah same
wish there were more shows down in Florida. there are so many indoor stadiums. wish there were more corps at the Orlando show
That's some nice tone from the low brass
Wow the guard actually dressed for a parade. Unusual.......I like it.
Philsy1630 because they are getting paid to look good and not just to have fun
Drummer C Lol more like paying to look good and have fun
Mediocre Music ^
Don't they get paid at all parades?????? I thought!!!!!
Philsy1630 Well, they pay to be in the corp in the first place but idk if they are paid to do parades.
Look at all those shiny contras w00t :)
It's SO nice to hear a corps play a full tune...
Parade marching ain't as easy as it looks. Almost had 3 collisions there, lol.
bro honestly, parade is a nightmare
@@ayolotl4830 all it takes is some learned skills and a bit of practice...just like the field shows

Mike Looks like downtown Disney... odd

I was there, its at downtown Disney. Downtown Disney was renamed to Disney springs I think sometime last year.
My band leaves in two days. Our uniforms are all black.
Got to hear them play that tune for an encore one time it’s epic
In late 60s I hated parades, loved playing alot but the uniforms killed us.
those were the days
name music?
el camino real
Is this the one in Florida or California
Tiger of San Pedro? I think?
What song
Tiger of San Pedro? or some variant of it?
Camino Real, it's one of their parade songs
It's a piece called Camino Real
Soo qria uma tuba dessa na minha banda
What the title of this song
El Camino Real

itsrayney I am not blaming them, I am just saying that is why Drum Corps are not parade type of bands. They only did it for money.
