Boat is looking fantastic, you both should feel proud for all you have accomplished.
You owe us, random TH-cam people, NOTHING. It is only your generosity that allows the rest of us to follow along on your restoration journey. Thank you kindly. You two have a unique easy going comforting presence on camera. Your style sets your restoration channel far above most of the others. Those channels are good as well, but yours is outstanding! Your video productions move along at a great pace while not getting stuck at any one spot too long. Your videos mix in a generous amount of "after" pictures/video that displays the finished product. That additional editing effort takes a lot of work on your part and yields an superior viewing experience. Thank you for your quality productions! It doesn't surprise me that you had a few corporations/businesses "donate" their products for you to use. Your glowing recommendation of the individual that did your canvas work made me wish you had named their business as well (If you did I apologize for missing that piece). I may be buying a boat in Port Angeles as well (much smaller) and it likely needs new canvas.
-Respectfully
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm happy to see you appreciate the extra effort we put in! We didn't mention him because he went out of business and disappeared from what we could tell. If you'll be in Port Angeles, then we can definitely provide whatever recommendations we have on local businesses. You can email us at contact@seekingseas.com.
Good to see you guys are back! Looking forward to more projects / videos. Cheers!
As someone who tried to restore a 39ft gaff-rigged ketch in Marbella on and off during several years in the eighties with quite a lot of help, and finally abandonning the project, I am speechless with admiration. You seem to achieve in a morning what I barely achieved in a week.
Holy s*** I was starting to get worried if you guys were dead or something. 😮 But I'm happy to see y'all still alive and are going to continue the series.
So happy you guys are back.
I stumbled on your channel and the first thing I notice it’s a Uniflite! Very cool
I respect anyone who is willing to restore instead of buying new.
The old stuff is better anyway.😊
My first view of your channel. That looks like the 42 Uniflite that my uncle had in Poulsbo, WA. A great boat, actually was more of a Ship, than a boat. You are doing a great job and gaining huge sweat equity.
Hey guys. I’ve binged watch your whole entire episodes. I’m a navy veteran. I really enjoy how folks like you restore old boats. You guys did a fantastic job doing so. I’m looking forward to see you take the boat out and see how well it performs. Until the next episode. Fair winds and following seas.
This is quite interesting. I am thinking of taking on a similar type project boat when I retire. You folks are definitely providing a good perspective.
So great to see you back, you guys are such a lovely couple.
You made us wait, but so glad you're back!
She's looking better and better; your hard work is paying off! Good thinking using plywood on the overhead. I did the headliners on these boats and you wouldn't want to mess with the vinyl cloth yourselves- big pain! Love the color schemes; the blue piping on the cushions looks great! I hope you get a chance to do some cruising this summer; you're awfully close to some great places to go. Smooth sailing!
🦘🇦🇺First time in, and you guys have really put a lot of work into that boat. Seems there wasn’t a place that needed work. Great job, well done. Hope you have decades of enjoyment on the water. 🙏
Y’all have really done a great job on a ton of stuff. Bravo
Thank you for sharing. God bless the 3 of you and many happy years with your beautiful boat.
Nice to see a genuine boat channel instead of another pair of hipsters on a zen trip.
Woo hoo! I was just wondering about you two the other day. Ok mostly Crowley 😂😂😂. Glad to see you back.
welcome back. boat looks so good already. cant wait to see you guys take it to next step.
Still invested in this, nice to see uploads again. Home Depot has lexan plastic/glass sheets that size for like $10.00
Good to see you back ….. I understand stepping away for a min ,
10:20 You could put marble on top of the counter, it goes very well with the wood and would give it a luxurious feel
Important things to do with your boat are:
1. Check the engines. Gaskets, outlets, etc. Water pump, cooling and so on. The cooling circuit is normally plain metal and rusts from inside to outside. You only notice when it is too late. Take a small hammer and tap it. If there is not wole ok, if you go through, you must replace it.
2. Check all outlets for the hoses if the sealing is still working. Fiberglas is a great material but it does take in water. Keep it in mind.
3. You used a lot of sticky material, selfadhesife. Nothing wrong with that but make sure you keep the boat warm all year long. Humidity creates mold inside and that can ruin your job. Heating wise try one electric heating system that they use in trucks. Many boat owners are doing so and they are very happy. 12V.
Welcome back! Looking forward to watching the continuation of the renovation. Glad you’re both well.
I literally just finished binge watching all 19 videos. Looks great. Can't wait to see more.
Woooooo you are back😍😍😍😍
Without being too cloying you are the most lovely couple I have ever checked out! So impressive with Jesse's engineering skills and Hannah's electronic knowledge + skills explaining in a simple uncomplicated way! Excellent reporting! I used to love tinkering when I was younger building small aircraft and understanding how everything worked! A large motor launch abandoned for 40 years is especially impressive. Therefore, it is most satisfying to see that the boat is rising like a phoenix!
Wow you two have put a huge amount of work in this boat, kudos to you for bringing it back to life and you’re going to enjoy cruising on it when it’s completely finished, it’s a labor of love, great job!
The boat is looking great! Thanks for saving her!
Hi guys, so great to see you're back. I was worried something bad may have happened. Totally understand, life happens and things don't always go to plan. Looking forward to seeing the next video. Take care and welcome back. 👋🥳🎉💖💖
Thought that maybe you were lost at sea. Glad to see you back.
Ive missed seeing these videos from you two. Glad to see you're back and still cracking on with the renovation. Great job so far, looking forward to the next one
Thanks so much!
I’m glad to see Mr Crowley , and you guys too ! I’m getting ready to restore a 1985 Chris Craft 315 Commander , ironically I grew up on a 1984 and got my fathers old slip . I’m thinking of starting to video it but have no idea how to start !
I kept checking for a new upload! This made my day!
I have done a similar thing years ago, a 1973 Trojan F31, many summers of fun.
I like your approach and enjoy the end result,😊
Really enjoy the videos. Glad you are back.... Welcome home!!!
Boat looks great! So glad you're back!
it"s gonna be really nice when ever it's finished..
Finally!
You 2 kids are so smart. Very impressed with your knowledge and work efforts 👌
You guys are fantastic!! Living the salt life dream!! But after it’s all said and done, you have made a wonderful on the water home for a lot less than a home mortgage!!
Thanks for sharing all that you have done. My wife and I are in the same boat. We have done what you have done and tried some things you did. DIY on a boat just makes you feel good. It’s all you and makes it a special boat. May you get many years out of her and each other!
Hi Guys. I have done this on a 47 ft Chris craft. Bathroom I used Tub and tile spray can. works great. looks new. Heat. My ac has reverse air. So I get hot air. I added a Electric Fireplace has heat fan. I did the wall paper also. Pain. I added Receptacles with usb in them. Kids !! charging all their stuff. I have Induction burners for cooking. Love the work. Keep it going. Come visit NJ sometime. Rob
Definitely invest in a high water alarm that alerts you on your phone when you’re not on the boat, could save your vessel if something happens.
As for your heating and cooling situation, forced air isn’t ideal but you can look at a mini split. You’d have to find a good spot to mount the condenser/head pump unit.
Nice Job! We have 1988 Jefferson 42 that we have worked on for the past 4 years. As a suggestion- We enjoy cooking in a large covered electric skillet. You can make grill sandwiches, breakfast, and many one pot meals when the weather is not cooperating, and it stows out of the way. a crock pot is also a standby. Keep up the awesome work!!
Wow! Amazing job, guys!
I am so happy to see you guys.i was wondering where you were.the boat looks great.youve done so much.cant wait to see her out on the water.til next time👍🙏❤😎ciao ciao
I just did the same thing to a used barn find Grady White. 1987 major clean up. Good job on cleaning your boat.
glad to see you'reback , was worried something tragic happened .
Glad to see you three.
So happy to see you back on the boat I've watched all the videos yous have made about it
you're back, you're back. YEAHHHHHH. Looking forward for more ^^
You guys "Rocked" everything. .I sat here today and watched every episode from 1 to 19 and can't wait to see more. I cannot believe someone was living in such grotesque conditions. Detriot engines, YES SIR !
Nothing more expensive than a free boat 😊
Good to see y'all again.
It's been so long since I've seen a video from you, glad to see you're still at it. Boat on!
Very nice and it's great to see the latest update on the project. You guys are making great progress. Hopefully you will get more time this summer to get your boat restoration closer to completion. It is really going to be nice when the hard work and expense is behind you. It will happen.
Just binged all of your videos lol. I love these so much. I was so glad to see the recent update on the boat, it looks fantastic! And holy smokes Hannah, you should do modeling work on the side! So excited to see future progress.
I was only thinking yesterday about you two. Thanks for the update, I really appreciate your down to earth and entertaining videos.
Watching you from Plymouth UK. Looking forward to seeing more from you all. Awesome boat.
Keep up the good work, glad to hear back from you guys!
Nice to see you again, greetings from sweden😊
You’re back, outstanding
Glad all is ok with you 2! nice to see you back.
That project is scary……salute to you both.
Wow, I missed her smile ❤. Good to see you are back.
Thanks for this update guys. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Our pleasure!
Missed your show!
12/25/23 Merry Christmas and have a happy and healthy new year. I congratulate the both of you . Having a boat like you have is constant work and I'll add pleasure. When its a team effort its fabulous. I look forword to your next video. Enjoy the journey.
We are restoring a 1974 Cheoy Lee Pilothouse in Olympia at West Bay Marina (slips available). We bought it 2021 in Westport, WA and drove it up and around making Neah Bay our first landfall, but then Port Angeles our first legal landfall. Sure we will see you guys somewhere. Keep up the good work. Captain DJ & Cheri.
When. I saw the heat lamp in the forward head I thought there's a fire waiting to start. Get rid of it fast as you can. So many fires get started by heat lamps, both marine and residential. Great work you’re doing on the boat.
Thanks for the tips!
You have a very nice looking boat. I’m fixing to turn 60. I’m retired and would love to find something like this. I admire you for doing this.
Holy Cow - finally an update - Wooooo hoooooo
11/30/23 You guys keep up the work together . I think you guys are doing great work. i'll keep watching.
It is coming along very nice. That vent hose on the water tank needs to be replaced ASAP. It is full of bacteria and mold. This can be avoided by not allowing the tank to get to the vent tube when filling the tank. Monitor the filling by lifting the bed and watching the level come up. This also save the tank by not putting pressure on the sides of the tank when water is forced out of the vent tube. Keep the updates coming!
🦘🇦🇺 Have you ever thought of putting feature ceiling in the salon & other parts of the boat. Strips of say 4 X 1” gloss or satin timbers with recessed strip LED lighting? That would take your new lighting fixtures to an altogether new level. 🙏
Good to see you guys are back!
Teak stain would work well on the Helm Station. This project has been very well executed and the results show! A beautiful boat indeed! Well done👏🏻
Great to see the project again, great work guys
Thanks for the update! glad to see you guys making progress.
Yall always have great content. Glad you're back!
Great to see a video again!!
Think you should go with oil radiators, they are alot more power efficiency and stores heat alot longer.
Just a quick thing. If there is a fire, and you have to use the emergency hatch, I really dont think its a good place to store life jackets inside the boat so you have to go in there to get them, they should be like in the back of the boat in the compartments you showed in the beginning, or even get some to put in your sleeping area.
The burned door, just cut it out and mount a window =)
Watching from Australia.....great stuff.
Welcome back! Love it!
Great progress guys! Congratulations!
Glad to see that you are back and your boat did not burn down. Great job!
Us too! Thank you.
My wife and I had a 36 aft cabin which we lived on in Bellingham, Semiahmoo and finally at Sandypoint over 35 years ago. I built many parts for these and their military cousins. As far as that forward fiberglass hatch, cut out the opaque part and bed a clear piece of thick plex right over it. Bevel the edges and counter sink the screws and it would look great,And the toasted door, a bronze port hole would look classic there maybe. Your boat is looking great, nice save folks.
It's really great to see you guys again continuing with this project. Have a fruitful summer :) Cheers.
Welcome back! Great to see you guys again.
Ah great to see you all back
Amazing work...great job!! I was hoping you guys would be back with an update!!!!
When you do finish up, that will be a nice boat.
It's great to see you two agian. I've bought the smaller version of your boat. And watched your videos a few times wishing you'd do another video. Glad to see you both agian. From NZ
Thank you! Wow I didn't know Uniflites were in New Zealand, very cool!
I guess they aren't. Not completely the same kind of boat as yours but similar.
Mines a Bayliner 2958 command bridge.
To prevent fires you may want to spray a green ceramic primer that is fire resistant to thousand degrees and it is antimicrobial.
I play golf with the owner and founder who sells to the major oil companies.
Great to see you guys are Back, Hope to see some more Content Soon, Really enjoy the Channel.😊
You guys are really doing a good job! Keep it up!
Welcome back! Love it! Good to see you guys are back.😄
So nice to see that you are back. Great job. Greatings from Belgium
Thanks for sharing your boat dreams and projects. Salmon fishing videos in the future?
I just started watching your TH-cam show I’m 62 years old and you guys make an old man proud of your hard work. The only question I’m concerned about is you painting over the black mold leaking in from your windows have you ever repaired your leaks?
