Yeah Howard seemed like an asshole at first but once you realise he isnt and its Jimmy whos an awful person you see how awful Howard was treated by jimmy and kim. He done nothing wrong he done what was told that is all, He wanted people to like him he treated people nice even his enemies he really did not deserve what jimmy and kim done to him and when he finally stands up for himself he gets killed for it just so tragic and heartbreaking
The scene where Howard's body is thrown in the ground underneath the soon to be meth lab, was absolutely devastating. To know that his final resting place, his tomb was under Gus's drug ring was shocking. And to be thrown in there with his killer too. That was a little too much for me.
Honestly, it is so masterful that this show had everyone hating Howard because he's a rich guy who drives a jaguar and inherited a business from his dad, but by the time it was over he became a fan favorite that everyone feels for. We also adored Jimmy because was broke and had a shitty car and nobody ever gave him a chance and he persevered anyways, but then by the end of the series he just kinda makes you feel nauseous and sad.

But the fact that he was killed, while in a place he was only at because of Jimmy & Kim, and to a person who was only there because of Jimmy, it was the big moment the show needed to change everything, it was the moment that showed who Jimmy & Kim really were (with Jimmy moving on and Kim never being able to move on), it's by far my favorite scene in not just BCS, but the entire Breaking Bad universe. The fact that Howard, one of the few characters in the show to never "enter the game", was killed by someone fully "in the game", shows how much Jimmy's actions affect everyone around him, and his complete inability to admit to it (until the courtroom scene)
dude the first like 10 seconds of this video is single handedly the most creative use of this shows (and breaking bads) already creative visuals in an edit i have ever seen. well crafted video and fantastic music choice. such a beautiful ode to such a tragic character. his death affected me so deeply and this video perfectly captures the emotions i felt following his death. i love this video a lot, so thanks

Anytime there was a scene where Jimmy would play a scheme on Howard I would laugh along with Jimmy because I’d become used to this being their dynamic. But, it really took me seeing Howard get murdered to really zoom out and see that he really wasn’t all that bad. Only Vince Giligan could write a character so nuanced.
