@namawon They weren't setup as Dave was doing some lessons on the Casey kit so I just setup on that. Those are actually my previous cymbals, the ones I used for the first 10 years of my drumming. They sound good, but nothin like the Paiste's imo :)
@punk9999643 No offense taken man. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. This is the lowest end of Casey drums...They sound great in my opinion, but I prefer the custom stuff or my DW :) That said, the shallow toms have a great response that my DW's don't got...Thanks for commenting!!!
How come all the sound critics are not giving lessons? Sound or drums? Sounded great on my system. Do we forget, it's about drumming ideas to take to your set with the best sound in the world.
I have not seen any other song endings on this site and I would really, REALLY love to learn a few, just 2 or 3 other types of endings. The one you are showing now is the one ( single pedal only ) I have used for yrs and I'm getting really sick of it. Do you have any non-complicated song endings that a fella could learn really quickly in your magic bag Jared???
Yo Jared, do you have a Drumdial tuner? May I know the tension meter of your snare drum? Batter and Reso head tuning... Sorry for my english man... I don't know what to call but its the measurement of how tight you tune your drums... Anybody help aside from Jared... You may have your measurement opinions... Thanks freedrumlessons....
You're awesome Jared...............you totally need to come out to GUAM and give lessons!!! Hey, maybe you should give away that drum kit to someone from the U.S. Territory!!! (hint hint) Seriously though........it'll be totally awesome to actually get lessons from one of you guys from "freedrumlessons"!!!!!
Nice vid, are there any lessons related to theory applied in drumming? I'm getting to songwriting and I'd like to see some advanced o intermediate songwriting lessons
Actually he tapped it very slightly with the bottom of his stick but even if he didnt it is a force of habit. I have done it before and I was playing on a cheap electric set where you cant choke it at all
@freedrumlessons Let's just say, compared to the DWs, this drum set just doesn't come anywhere close. There's just something about the snare and kick I don't like, though i gotta admit, the shallow toms sound pretty good. It's only my opinion. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Also, Yamaha Flying Dragons FTW. Still love your videos guys.
Yes, I know that but the fact you focus on that he has a Canadian accent when he is teaching drums, either you don't care about the drums and you are clearly a troll or you point out what's different on other people because you have insecurities yourself.
Your mixing isnt right for that kind of song ending. Jus' sayin'. It should be less bass, it should be a 'base' for the cymbals and should be under it and fill it out. The cymbals should be more of the mix to give it that crazy end of song feel. however if you eliminate the bass entirely it sounds terrible. just a couple of suggestions for you.

@surface661 I'll check that out, I've never watched them live so I didn't know that...
To me its just whatever the fuck i feel like hitting haha
xD same
@renementen I believe Cobus does it a little different and plays it DURING the song which is intense. Massive props to him :)
@darthjoey13 Listening back they actually sound like 32nd notes in phrases of 3. Good catch...I'll update with some annotations.

Jared is a good teacher
Jared, you're are simple a boss.
Cool i learn from you guys when I have no drum lessons
Finally the Casey drums are back!
one of my faborite ...... excelente clase , me preguntaba , cual era el truco :) , gracias
@northdrummer I totally agree man...That's just the way it is on here sometimes :(
@freedrumlessons Is this a relatively new kit? It's cool - what brand? I couldn't recognize the mark on the toms... So is this some custom drum kit?
@Who2Are1You I TOTALLY agree... :)
Hallelujah glory to the lamb.
i actualy prefer casey over DW:) I am definitely gonna buy casey's set at the end of summer:)
great song enders lessons
Thanks for this demo can do this now. AWESOME.
that is the drum kit what they are gift to who suscribe to his channel, is awesome, I like it.

What is it called, if it has a name, when you end a song with tom -> f. tom -> bass (fast)
Actually he tapped it very slightly with the bottom of his stick but even if he didnt it is a force of habit. I have done it before and I was playing on a cheap electric set where you cant choke it at all
Actually the ride cymbal creates a Dotted Eights - Sixteenth pulse (not Quarter Note Triplets) ;-)
At the last example those weren't triplets, they were just 16ths in phrases of three. Big difference.
best lesson ever
I have a 5 piece with a crash ride and hat, if i hit the crash ride lightly enough could i possibly use just that and a hat?
3:51 the singing is awesome ! :D
@freedrumlessons Thank you for uploading! I probably should have taken into consideration this was a lower end set.
i like your new kit good video
What program do you use for sound? As in, drum eq's and things. Cheers.
@freedrumlessons dont mean to insult korn and all, but you and dave are way beyond the korn stage in my opinion
@punk9999643 Tell me what about the sound you don't like...
Jared Call, you're funny about a big rock ending. Can you do another one of those?
How about a video on effective use of cymbals ex.effect cymbals .off time crashes and etc
when I do this sorta stuff. Timing is quite an issue when I try this stuff. Any tips on that?

My experience is too few bands really practice endings. Everyone hates the guy who has to have the last "word".
What are some good and cheap double bass pedals??
are you using sennheiser e604s on your toms?
i actualy like the casey's sound really nice! but although i love zildjian, the paiste signatures were just that...signature, whered they go D:
@freedrumlessons: Hello Jared, The battery exchanged legal!
God bless you. God loves you.
@namawon who are you?
and what about some song endings with the toms like guns n roses or with the snare like on some blues stuff or just play the last notes slower..? °__°
he hit it with the tip
if we use the hi-hat instead of 3rd crash, if will be really hard to cross over :(
dah dah dah dah dah DUN! dun ch dun ch dun ch... haha good job man
@fdl sorry I meant 32nd. Thanks for the fix though.
Wow. wheres the DW, and Paiste cymbals?
how much was your drums
Love it
hwy does the beass drum sound like waves
Last time i looked, this was a drumming lesson, not a singing lesson
1:28 - my Dad when I ask him to have a go
SOHO they are like a 120 dollars and they are great for me
Your double bass in the start sounds like a helicopter flying low
04:22 Tempo error?
What if I only have 1 cymbal(ride-crash sombination if that exists or I am scamed xD) and hi hat cymbal
feels like a machine gun firing
lol could just say, outros or finishing fills!! sounds better than song enders. XD
3:47 Da dan dan dan dan tahnnn. tunnn cha tunnn chaaa, DAn dan dan dan dan JAJAJAJAJA
the drumer from korn makes this on every song he is finishing... don´t like it and it looks weird. But good job mr.falk =)
1:28 to 1:43 And that´s how i looked the first time i played drums..
hell yea zildjians!
Hey 2021?
someone had came back to the zildjian roots..... :D
Hy du bist echt cool
Jared looks so timid compared to how he looks now
Yes, I know that but the fact you focus on that he has a Canadian accent when he is teaching drums, either you don't care about the drums and you are clearly a troll or you point out what's different on other people because you have insecurities yourself.
LOL!!!!!!! Thats so funny!!! Was looking for that too hahahahahahaa!!
Eh. Not a bad idea for endings...
cool...!
1:30 your face looks so bored when you're playing it slow haha
Your mixing isnt right for that kind of song ending. Jus' sayin'. It should be less bass, it should be a 'base' for the cymbals and should be under it and fill it out. Your face shows that you seem to be making such a big effort!!

@surface661 that's what one calls, a "Korny ending!"
Your mixing isnt right for that kind of song ending. Jus' sayin'
sounds like a helicopter haha
