Just checked the files, and currently, Aim-9P-4 has exactly the same seeker qualities as Aim-9L. Both have a 3.6 degree FOV with 40 degree uncage, and both have the same IR weights towards engines and flares. Literally the Aim-9L we already know but on an Aim-9P/J missile. Pretty spicy
@@thunderwithchrissy it did not change. the aim 9 ls seeker have a 50/50 chance of ignoring flares from rear aspect if they have the afterburner on so i think it was just luck

Hey AeroTurtle, I am pretty sure you know but the Kfir-C.7 and the C.2 have them at 11.3 and 11.0, I am not sure if your mentioning this for the fact the F-5E (japan) is free, or the fact they are at 11.3
"Its miles better". As it should be. We need to stop with the idea that prems should be stronger than tt vehicles. They automatically are better with the 100% bonuses. We don't need another su39 situation where prems get things that TT versions dont
I must disagree. I do not think that the F-5E flightmodel at 11.3 is very good. Especially after the F-5 flightmodel adjustments some patches ago. In a downtier your missiles might slap pretty hard, but the F-5 really works best when not used as a "missile bus" and the FCU simply does not do a better job as a gunfighter than the regular F-5E. In an uptier, you'd just get absolutely smacked by planes you have no hopes of winning a fight against. After all, you have to face F-16s, F-15s and MiG-29s... The missiles will not save you at 12.3 as they are nothing special for that BR. So all in all you have an 10.7 flightmodel, 4 decent missiles and only 45 countermeasures with a horrbile drop-pattern at 11.3. Not particularly good imo (certainly not OP as you state in the vid). Now, all that said, it's probably still the best plane to grind rank 8 Japan with as your other options are just depressing and I do think it is a cool plane that can still be fun - even though it's not very good. Question tho: Your title says "New Update Made Python-3 10 Times Better!!" - how? You don't explain it in the video and according to the changelogs, neither the Python 3 nor the PL-8 has been changed? Still, nice vid mate :)
Hi thank you for the comment. to tackle your first paragraph yes you are 95% correct , except this aircraft can now be used in multiple different scenarios not just in air RB. The radar alone is just a massive upgrade for an F5 and it will help it out a ton in sim; But I digress. when it comes to the FM and the capabilities of this plane in RB it can defo rival mig29s and F16A to a certain extent. It is not going to win in a dogfight against an F16A for sure but it can still do damage and can get into skirmishes distracting most of the enemy team. The drop pattern of the countermeasures on this plane isn't a necessity since you get such a low heat sig by default and you are facing aim9Ls constantly. As for the title, I have never said it got buffed I just said it got better because of the platform its on and in combination with the BR that it sits in. Btw you really know how to type so thank you for the proper punctuation in your comment, as it was very enjoyable to read!
Point with f-16 applies to any plane at 11.0-11.3, as f-16 shouldn't be at 12.0 in the first place. Same with f-5: it's NOT 10.7 fm, as it's on par with MLD (and, actually, can win mld consistently if played correctly), so it's at least 11.0 fm with very good missiles at 11.3. Not op, for sure, but this is one of the better planes at this br
did a F-5 ever get nerfed? All of them are undertiered. The F-5E probably being the worst offender. OP planes that get spammed out the wazoo, with a cult-like following which go crazy anytime a reasonable change is proposed.
@@-..----.--.-... but I play the Mirage 2000 and if it's untouchable because it's fast against top tiers imagine something a whole BR below with similar thrust weight ratio and top speed against planes that can barely go mach 1.05 on the deck.

I heard people saying aim9l got buffed. They did say it ignored 4 flares tho so I don't know if it's just a skill issue or if it actually changed.

Also, it has 45 *launches* of cm, so its equal to 90 flares. Usually 1 pop at the time is worse, but considering how cold f-5 is, it's enough for him

Best thing is that you can genuinely skip the F4EJ's at the same rank, we Japan players are eating good this patch!
