Dad's Prayer at Mums Funeral (after his major surgery)

Just 4 days before mum passed away, dad took ill and was diagnosed with Stage 3b colon cancer. Just after he came out of surgery a few days later, mum was called to her eternal rest. Dad was given a hospital pass to attend the funeral and was very weak and unwell as he was still recovering from the operation. He mustered up some strength towards the end of the service to say this prayer.

Lord thank you for your mercies that are new every morning. Please be with your children in their brokenness at this time of mourning. Strengthen them I pray. We are thankful we do not mourn as those who have no hope. One day Lord, one day we will meet again....
