- Every year around 20 million Radioactive Material (RAM) packages are transported worldwide by road, rail, sea, and air. The IAEA has been actively involved in the regulation of such transportation since 1961. This video tells the story of the safe and secure transport of RAM.
In 2018 McArthur River and Key Lake mines in Saskatchewan Canada closed indefinitely.

Breeder reactors can produce millions or billions of years' worth of fuel with sufficient quantities of 235U. Nuclear power is as renewable and effective as it currently gets for us.
No nuclear energy, lot's more coal plants and the world thanks us in a million years after we go extinct. A lot more fission nuclear plants that pave the way for greener fusion power or to the point when renewables are that in more than a name.
