this beast has got no power issues at all I love 901 as I remember seeing it at crewe works in February 1986 being converted into class 37901 with the mirlees engines had been fitted Nice locomotive bought from preservation and put back on the mainline! Nice video as peak forrest ain't the same without a tractor and a chopper class 20 flying about!!! 🥰
Perhaps it was already tied on and they wanted to see the 37 shunting as heavy a train as possible. It looks like 25 wagons is the max for the siding, as the 66 was fouling the points. Can’t afford to tie up a costly 66 on shunting duties with all those big trains to haul!
tractor power far better than crappy American made sheds! class 37 are propper old-school locos and look and sound better than ying yang crap sounding caterpillar engines! 🤩😍🥰
They aren’t cat engines they are gm emd 2 strokes. Think Detroit 6v71 series Then you’ll know what I mean as Detroit were art of gm but are now under Mercedes’ benz hence you get the 60 series.
She does look good ! I don’t normally like modern paint jobs but this is a smart looking livery.
That 37 looks almost brand new...nice job on the the re-commisioning
Superb it’s the big engine Mirrlees
Yes matey blugging away nicely 😀

Great to view😊
Hey Jon if only Accurascale would tool a Slug just for us haha! Imagine that!
That would be a must! 👍
@@kevvynolan8753Absolutely!
901 has no troubles at all, another day at the office.
Proper job by a Proper Engine.
No problem 💪
There was 2 x class 20s around peak forest. No idea why.
37901 pairing up with a 66 DB red “Shed.” 👍
Yes mind blowing, pure awesomeness!
Excellent 👍👍
A super nice video :)
Is it a heavy load or tricky task to do then??
Pushing back of these wagons
That's looking and sounding 😎
Took it in her stride.
I don't understand why the 66 isn't doing its own work there.
Does this mean 901 will be based at Peak Forrest ?
I want it i nead it sort one out please!
Sounds like they have put a silencer back on it
Whats the point of this? Why couldn't the 66 do this by its self?

They're EMD mate, Cats are used in the 68s - I like them a lot to be fair!
But of course, the tractors win 😂

Grate😊to hear a mirrlees working hard
Believe 905 still exists could it be one day hmmm! Food for thought hey!
37905 Doesn’t have a mirlees engine it has a Ruston engine, same with 906. 901 is the only surviving one with a mirlees engine
@@Nate0493Conversions are available in oo gauge, i would love to have a go, using one of my Bachmanns as a donor.
@@Nate0493Peter Dixon in the manshed on UT had a go at one and it was quite a success.
