THE ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM OF LEGON

The department of Archeology is one of the oldest departments in the University of Ghana established
in 1923.The department started way back in the then Achimota College. During the expansion of the
college, An Archeologist started collecting the materials that were coming up during the construction
of the University of Ghana. He put all his collections in a small room and named it a museum of
archeology.
