What's cool about the frontier is that you can swap parts on it from the titan. The front half of the frame is the same as the first gen titan. So you can swap the front suspension, including the spindles and brakes to get better stability and brakes. The VK56 from the titan bolts right in to your 6 speed with an adapter plate and a 350z clutch, then the whole thing bolts into the frame without any serious mods. The vk56 is a beast of an engine too, with a mild build, you could get a reliable 500whp and at least a 8k rpm redline.
That's my dream setup, and I don't see many youtubers build frontiers, but it definitely would be interesting, and the end product I say would be cooler than any factory midsize.

@@gubb73485 You're right, but he complained about the brakes and lack of power in the video, plus, who could complain about a sleeper shop truck. He does a lot of engine swaps on the channel, so why not another one, especially if he doesn't have to do custom fab work.

Love the shop truck! I have a 2012 frontier in B17 blue metallic. Sadly mine is automatic, but has 4x4. It was really neat to see a frontier towing a skyline. Great video.

You got my exact truck just a different color, less body damage and a manual. I've gotten about 16-17 mpg before towing a small utility trailer with 2 dirtbikes in it and another one in the bed. Pretty cool to see almost my exact truck on the channel though.
I feel like the Frontier needs a camper top to protect engines all year round. But also a leveling kit with wheels and off road tires👌🏼

Frontiers are the best. Earlier crew cabs had the tan interior. Also can use most xterra/pathfinder interior as most are similar
I had a d40 work truck for a about a week, with a 2.5 diesel 4cyl manual, and i gotta say, it ripped, it got sideways pretty easily.

something about the 4 door skylines and 2 door tahoes/k5 blazers late 70's to mid 90's are just amazing so unique to be in and drive
Years ago I had a previous generation Frontier to that one, paid top dollar because it was crew cab, 4wd, with the manual, it was the old 3.3, with 5 speed trans. I ended up hating it, only got about 12mpg empty, there was no room to haul anything if I wanted to, I was getting full-size v8 fuel economy without the power or the room, it also sounded like a tin can on the interstate with the roof skin flapping in the wind, horrible wind noise, and it would run about 4500 rpm at 70, it really soured me on them, I assumed the next generation was better, but didn't care to try one, I think I'd rather go with a Tacoma next time I decide I want a small truck.
Well now the frontier needs an RB30..

Those were called Nissan navaras here in the uk and the chassis snapped behind the cab,there was a massive recall and buy back scheme.the aussies found the problem first when they would snap in half on the rough outback roads.
