I don't see the option in the remote settings. - Is there a separate module to install for the temperature? When I try to get the vehicle temp, it just says "Fail". - My truck "chirps" when I lock, unlock, or remote start. I'd rather it just chirped for the remote start. Can that be changed? Thanks again.
The remote start run time and confirmation chirps has to be programmed by the technician. In order to see temperature, the thermistor sensor needs be plugged in. Ask the install shop that did it.
I got Compustar Q9 installed in my Camaro and i recommend it to anyone searching for the right product. I will also recommend BestBuy for purchase and installation for those not mechanically inclined like myself. I think they only carry Compustar and Viper kits but depending on witch kit you get it will come with FREE installation. I may be the area where i live but I was quoted at the shops around me and it was between 800$ and 1,200$. With BestBuy i was quoted at 449$ (487$ with tax) for parts and installation, if i didn't get the Q9 upgrade i would of payed 300$ give or take for the basic kit. What makes it even more worth it is all kits installed by BestBuy or Geek Squad comes with a LIFETIME WARRANTY for any issues pertaining to the hardware they installed. When you make an appointment you drop your car off for 4 hours at the longest.
That's a really short installation time for very little money. I'm easily triple that price (factor in, I'm in Canada). And I take minimum the day to install a security and remote starter system.

I was wondering if you can let me know if the new T13 Remote can perform Priority Unlock & 2nd Unlock with the CMX brain? I know the older T12 was able to do this still, as well as Aux 3-7. But apparently the T13 cant do those extra aux outputs, so curious on the Priority unlock now too... Id like to carry over my Excalibur alarmcs functionality I had set up on my truck to a new modern Compustar system. I had Priority Unlock unlocking my doors, 2nd Unlock unlocking my tailgate, and Trunk Output opening my toolbox in the bed. Ive studied the manuals to research how to do this, with the cmx module at least. Using connector 10 (lock accessory harness plug), and programming the right POCs with an OP500. Appreciate anything you may be able to share on the T13. Cheers man !!

That actually needs to be programmed in the Install side. Once the Tech flashes the module they can change does settings for you, some are lazy and just go on Default part of it or they just didn't want to do extra work at times. Yes all Compustar have Aux outputs, whoever says no they lying
My OEM key fob uses the proximity feature to unlock my car when I put my hand under the door handles. If I have this installed does that get bypassed and no longer work? Does this work in conjunction with the OEM key fob?
The Q9 with spread spectrum technology is very reliable and has about 2 miles of range. I take the range lightly because it depends what between you and the vehicle.
I do recommend this remote. Used it the past few installs and the performance is really good. Only down side is the battery isn't rechargeable, uses a AAA for operation. Not a big deal.
Hey I have a 2018 cx5 and when I first got it instaled the car would stay on after opening the door and I’m guessing it would read the key. But it stopped doing that. I also have a 2021 Honda pilot that once I open the door it turns off, anyway I can change it so it can stay on if I have the key fob on me.
Did you ask the shop you had everything installed at? Some Hondas do secure take over, but a lot of newer push to starts, have to shut down when the door is opened.
One question so when i get the first shock my remote wont make a noise and when i first got the alarm set up it used to work now will only see the notification if i press lock or unlock but the remote wont make a noise only alarm on the car works any way i can change this?

@@AnthonyJ350 Thanks for replying. I looked at Compustar's website and it seems my antenna, ANT-AP, is not compatible with this remote. And I need the ANT-2WFMX antenna. Do I need to replace the antenna cable/wire as well or just swap out antennas? The "brain" is a FT7200S
@@AnthonyJ350 so I replaced the antenna and remote. Remote starter worked fine for a few days. Then one day my car battery was disconnected accidentally for a couple of hours. After I reconnected the battery, the remote starter will not start the car. All other features work, door locks/unlocks, lights flash, etc. even when I press the starter button it will crank, but the car will not start. Any ideas what’s wrong? I got en error code #8.
@@LawMasterTimmy Should be able to. You need to change the setting for the shock sensor to DAS because I believe it defaults to the standard shock sensor.
You can either reprogram the Compustar brain and turn off "confirmation chirps" or you can go into the remote and turn siren "off" or "on" from the features list shown in the video.
@@lonelymusic8607 Yes, but verify. Arm the vehicle with the window open. Leave it for a minute then open the door from the inside to simulate a "break in" and make sure the Compustar activates properly.
Also get familiar with the alarm system. There is a way to turn off your shock sensor. On my older Compustar alarm; once you turn it off, u have to manually turn it back on. On my 2nd vehicle with a 2023 two way Viper system; when I turn off my shock sensor, after arming it. It automatically re arms the shock sensor when I disarm the alarm. It only cancels when I manually do it. Compustar does have the extra features to cancel your siren and re activate it.
@@AnthonyJ350 Have same issue. Purchased 2017 Mazda3 GT used (automatic) with system installed but no fob. Had to buy fob from dealer and engine did not shut off while at his shop. Valet mode is hard to take off and if valet mode is on remote start will not work and to take of valet mode is difficult with compustar don’t recommend
To get to valet mode hit f button on remote twice and move up and down with unlock and lock buttons use f button to select and hold f button to return to normal home screen
That is depending on the Vehicle you going to install it on. Mist 2003 & up requires a Module to bypass the security for remote start. Even so some vehicles with couple of wire control a lot of things via CanBus system which means these units can be installed just for remote start but can also control the stock system plus add security a.k.a alarm. You can only opt out and just get straight remote start only.
If you purchase with the "Alarm It" accessory package, it comes with a siren, LED and sensor that does shock, tilt and glass break. So not sure what you're talking about. Did you purchase a remote starter or combo package with security?

does this replace your OEM key fob? I have a push to start but no remote start so would I need both?
For push to start vehicles, yes you'll have to carry both around.

Turn off confirmation chirps. I would just get your installer to program it out.

You need to install a Compustar brain into the vehicle.

You have to verify which Firstech controller is installed to see if it's compatible. You may have to install a new cable and antenna.

You have to wire the vehicle to the auxiliary outputs to achieve that feature.

Why does mine shutdown when I get inside and push the brake?
You have to put your key in the ignition first. Then turn 2 times then press the brakes.

2 if u lost the main one it’s gonna cost you $160 and they give you a smaller one base one for a back up got mines today 🔥
