Just wanted to say this was an awesome video. Most "top 100s" I see just flash a video clip and the game title briefly against some music. It was super helpful to hear even a brief description of all the games, and you pointed out several that I didnt even know existed. Nicely done! We appreciate the effort
From what I heard, Final Fantasy V was dropped in the west in favor of Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, and Square thought that the job system in FFV would be "too complicated" for western gamers.
Unfortunately they were right if you look at what was popular in the US at the time.. Every time I introduced an rpg people looked at me like I was from Mars
It's insulting really. I was raised on RPGs that were very complicated compared to the likes of FFV. In games like The Bards Tale, it could take you a good hour just to create your party of characters.
I always assumed ff mystic quest was a spin off of the ff games. A sort of lightweight ff for gamers that wanted an entry level ff game. It was released in the uk as i owned and enjoyed it. Even if it was a little basic. There was also a ff mystic quest released for the gameboy. But that was seiken densetsu the first game in the secret of mana series that got a remake on the gba as sword of mana and remade recently again as adventures of mana for current gen systems and android
It was also a victim of bad timing, as by the end of '94 developers knew the SNES life cycle wasn't long for the world and so the focus was placed on translating and releasing the much more anticipated FFVI. Most of the RPGs on this list had similar issues, as localizing and translating RPG titles took much longer with less chance of success since a lot of the titles that did get a release in the West suffered from poor sales. In fact I think if Mystic Quest hadn't actually been developed specifically for the West in English first to try and combat that trend, I have my doubts we would have received that game either.
The western kids weren't able to play two additional Zelda games and a new Excitebike game, but look at the silver lining: they didn't have to deal with the BS!
Lies! This western kid collected game mags like Game Pro and Electronic gaming monthly. Which often showed JP games. :D I owned the SF adapter for my snes and owned a few JP games. *amen for mowing lawns and having a paper route to feed my gaming addiction*
@@muajin- I learned early that you didn’t need a special adapter like NES. All you need is a set of pliers to remove the plastic teeth inside the cartridge slot. I was also lucky that my parents bought me the disk based system when we visited Hongkong. So I can basically just borrow a game and rip it to a floppy drive.
To this day SNES is still my absolute favorite system! From Goemons mystical adventure series, Gundam Wings endless duel and Pocky & Rocky, the library is LEGENDARY! After modifying my SNES, the world was my oyster as i can now play even more titles like front mission, bahamuts lagoon and soo much more!💘 Damn I love this system!!❤
38:24 The game was released in Europe as Cybernator. I am certain it was released in France as I owned the game. It was praised by critics and people who experienced the game (not the best game ever but very good). Thanks for this video! :)
So many amazing treasures. I hope one day more of these titles become accessible worldwide. Just a bummer it was limited access due to translation, censorship, religion, cost, and distribution. With more access to digital libraries, maybe that could open more doors to the past. Excellent video sir, and titles that are tricky to pronounce. But dang you nailed it. 😎
@Haffy I don't think Byuu has completely quit:" I will still around as always, but going forward, I'll mostly be sticking to just my personal emulator development online."
So sad not having mentioned the two Aretha games, Far East Of Eden: Tengai Makyou Zero, Tenshi No Uta (Song Of The Angel, and I particularry loved so much this one, especially because this could be considered the first one made by Team Wolf, the responsibles for Tales saga origins), Super Shell Monsters II, amongst other JRPG gems Japan-only.
Kamen Rider: Kah-men rider (It roughly means masker rider) Shin Megami Tensei: Shee-n Meh-gah-mee Ten-say You pronounced Mazinger mostly correct Gundam: Gun-dahm Sasuke: Sah-suh-kay (Often, the su in this is pronounced so fast it just sounds like an s, so Sah-s-kay would be correct as well) The vowels in Japanese are similar to Spanish, as in they are always pronounced the same: a-ah, e-eh, i-ee, o-oh, u-oo If you come across something weird, like Gouki or Gokou(the correct spelling of Son Goku's name, often also spelled with a line over the u in Goku) you pronounce the u or the o, depending on the word, double-length (Gouki is pronounced Goh-ki, with the o dragged out just slightly longer than a normal o, Gokou is pronounced Goh-koo, with the u syllabel dragged out slightly long than normal). The easiest way I've found to know how to pronounce these is to look at official romanization, as they will only put the character to be pronounced, with a line over it (so Gouki would sometimes appeer as Gōki [it is actually spelled like this in Baki the grappler] or Gokou would appear as Gokū). I've seen this in person in multiple japanese arcade machines. Iterestingly, I've also seen the American way of spelling Son Goku's name in official japanese games while spending time over there, and more recently, in adverts for Dragon Ball Super. However, if you were to pronounce Goku's name like American's spell it, it wouldn't be Goh-koo, but almost sound like you're saying Coke with a G instead of a C.
Great list! This is the most comprehensive Super Famicom exclusives list I've ever seen! One game that I think should have been on this list though was Kaizou Choujin Schbibinman Zero.
Wow this video must have taken a lot of work! Thank you for putting in so much effort to not only preserve our gaming history but to share it with others. It means a lot.
7:37 I know a lot of people make this mistake, but Umihara is not actually a schoolgirl. People think that because of the backpack, but actually she's 21 years old in this game and a sushi chef. Crazy, I know. She doesn't look like it. But she is.
6 months later, thank you again for Gekisou Sentai Carranger from this list. Since last posting, I've went on to claim all 3 WRs on speedrun.com for this game. Seriously, thank you.
So happy to see Goemon and Ackman getting some love, definitely some of the most fun out there. Rockman & Forte is really fun, but very rigid, but Forte controls like a dream, so I love it. The BS Zelda games were like this holy relic from my childhood, just reading rumors on the internet. Very happy that they are available to play via emulation. Another one worth checking out is Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou. It has an interesting food mechanic. The gameplay isn't the deepest, but there is a button dedicated to making your character flex. It's worth playing just for that.
I agree, the USA console looks rubbish so bland. USA always want different versions for themselves I don't understand why. Style suits anybody, its like cars USA cars expect luxury where as in UK we have to pay more for cars and AC etc.. is extra. Now that internet is available i say buy what ever you want from abroad. Thats what I do, just remember power outputs are different as well... UK are very powerful 240v per outlet!
As a reader in Superplay in the 90's. I was aware how many games never never made it the PAL region. And that there was a vibrant import scene for not only Super Famicon but also US SNES games. I would argue that the reason Secret of Mana did get a PAL release was because of Superplay giving the game such a high score.
titanic work you done here, I think is the fourth time I saw this chapter. Congratulations on reaching 100k you deserve that and more, greetings from Argentina.
wow I'm surprised how many games from that list i was actually able to play and are part of my childhood memories. thank you SUPER Ninja (; Great video!
One of my favorite Japan-only releases is _Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 2,_ it's basically a fishing RPG, and the second entry in a long-running series. There's also a fun turn-based tactical airsoft sim called _Ball Bullet Gun._ btw, _Assault Suits Valken_ did see an (albeit edited) Western release as _Cybernator_ and was even featured in Nintendo Power. That game had some amazingly detailed graphics. Also, you forgot to mention that _BS Zelda: AST_ was meant to be played as part of a live real-time event, which added live voiceovers to the game, like a radio drama...there's really nothing else like it! And it'd be amazing if Nintendo finally made a fully-restored version of the game with newly-recorded voiceovers, as part of some upcoming Zelda anniversary. 🤔
I found a SNES ROM pack back in like 2000 that had EVERY game ever made, including original Japanese games as well as fan translations. I came across Tales of Phantasia one day by accident and it became one of my FAVORITE games of all time, only to find out it was never actually released in America. Glad to see it on the list!
@@CurlyheartIf it was a "GoodSet" then it probably did have every game, at least that was originally available to buy in a store. These sets included roms from the USA, U.K. (and some other European countries, depending on the set), and Japan of course. (Other countries around the world mostly only had translated versions of games already produced for developed countries, so the people in the USA that made the GoodSets, didn't seem to care about those). These sets also typically included alpha's, beta's, demo's, unreleased games, bootleg/pirate compilations, test cartridges, one-of-a-kind contest winner cartridge's, homebrew/homemade/hacked/fan translations, etc. Basically any cartridge that the teams could get their hands on, which they would then rip to a computer and make available to the public for free. (I say "typically" because some of the categories I mentioned were roms added in by other pirate teams that weren't necessarily part of the GoodSet).
This an amazing video man props on giving quick vocal reviews on 100! games that never came to U.S. Alot of these games are visually stunning coming from the SNES, interesting that alot of people overseas didnt see all the power of the SNES
Great vídeo!. I think that if you take some more RPG's, Beat em' Ups and Puzzle games, and then you add some Racing and Sports games to the list, easily you can make another vídeo with 50 or more great quality Super Famicom exclusives.
Ok this is so awesome. I knew of lots of these but that sanrio pong game is gonna be a new favorite multiplayer game. Also when you name dropped raid shadow legends I was SO glad expecting you to sail straight into an add roll. I had a bit of ptsd trigger when I heard it lmao
THGM's pronunciations of Japanese words are absolutely hilarious. Other than that the game descriptions and use of gameplay footage are great Also I think it's worth mentioning that super dimensional fortress: Scrambled Valkyrie is based on a manga/anime called Chou Jikkyou Yusai: Macross which was one of the anime series that was used to make Robotech. It was the first part that had Rick Hunter, Roy Fokker, Minmei etc. last time I looked it up on eBay it was going for a lot
Are you kidding me with Megaman & Bass, this is probably my favourite Megaman game ever with its stellar soundtrack: Coldman, Intro Stage, Groundman. It happily sits in my top 10 games of all time alongside Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Original Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid 3, Sonic Mania, Rock Band, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles
One item to check out: A JRPG based on 'The Slayers' anime series. I had a copy of it but found my progress impossible past a certain point without a text translation.
Between you and SNESdrunk I can keep coming up with games to get made into physical custom multicartes for my favorite system of all time SNES/Super Nintendo Entertainment System
Amazing list, im an SFC die hard fan and you dont usually find this sort of list. I like this so i can add games to my collection that are unknown but worth it, and as a regular shopper from japan, this list is great for me. Also, you look great in that hat mate. Outstanding job.
The Dragon Quest 3 Remake on the Super Famicom is simply AMAZING! It adds so much new content including animation in battles & hidden Pachisi tracks with loads of rewards to get. The fan translation is extremely well done as well so there's no excuse for fans of the series not to play it :)
DQ 5 and 6 are both pretty cool. 5 was unique cause it was the first in the series where you could recruit monsters after you beat them. I paid 150$ for it and took 2 years to beat. Then i bought 6 the same week it came out in JPN for 160$ :(( fun times tho.
@@chronology556 I hate to break it to you, but DQ5 has NEVER been anywhere near that expensive. It's actually one of the most common games in Japan and isn't worth much at all. Sounds to me like someone got ripped off pretty badly...
Final Fantasy V is my favorite game, Love the gameplay, music, story, everything. First played it back then when i got my first computer and it came with a SNES emulator and many games, including many in this list.
Final Fantasy V was originally denied to western audiences because Japan felt we were too stupid to understand how to change Job Classes and apply learned abilities from other classes onto the ones we change into. It's the same reason we didn't get the actual Final Fantasy III on the NES.
A whole video could be dedicated to the injustice of those in the West not getting Final Fantasy 5 back in the day. And the dev behind GUILTY GEAR made the Sailor Moon fighting game!? I'M THERE!
Some of those titles really look like 32bit. I'm always baffled what the good old SNES is capeable of. Many SNES games have such great and colorful graphics, even in 3D, that's just amazing!
For the amount of effort that had to of gone into this, it is a simple travesty that theres only barely 60k views. This is a fantastic list, and you even listed every game i ever took interest in, which is a hell of a lot more than most lists ive seen out there, and ive even got a few to look forwards too now :3 (You even mention Alcahest and Treasures of Rudras! No one ever talks about those D:) . Though one thing that did make me a little sad is the lack of mention of Treasure of Rudras very unique way of doing the story, that being that each play through affects the game world and what you can find in it while playing the others, meaning if you picked up all of the good loot with the first group, you couldnt pick it up with the next group, assuming they ended up in the same place(which happens alot). And of coarse all of the stories converge into an epic final showdown featuring the entire cast, which is just brilliant. Theres also the extremely unique magic system as well, which is one of very few that ive seen that allowed you to craft your own spells using spell keywords , such as ig being basic fire attack, then ignus being a bigger version that hit everything on the field. but it got super complicated as you learned new keywords. . It really really is an overlooked gem... Much like this video now that i think on it :P
The mechanics of Treasure Conflix can be considered resurrected in FF Type-0. Once you gain access to the airship, you proceed to shooting down monsters while travelling around in the air. One has to wonder if this is how deep in their vault that SE dug to implement this or just a pure coincidence
Another reason to regret that Nintendo canceled the SNES-CD. A lot of these titles would probably have gotten Western releases if the severe cost of mask ROM cartridges could be avoided.
Wow, I never notice western audiences miss so many great titles. Mostly, these games on the list I already play when I was a kid. They were awesome gems that I wouldn’t mind go back and play it again. I never knew Ganbare Goemon3 have a translation patch now!? This is one of my favorite game but never knew the story at all.
I just got the Famicom and Super Famicom systems. Mostly to pay less for those expensive U.S. Verizons of games. Then this dude comes along with a list of Japanese only games. The temptation is real
Ran across your video and channel, liked it. Subbed for more cool stuff. We did get screwed in the States, well all outside Japan. That's how it was with anime back in the day, hard to find and out of order episodes.
One game that I missed in this list is Ihatovo Monogatari (Stories of Ihatovo). Looks like a JRPG but it's not. It's more like a walking simulator with some interesting stories behind it.
Great video! A lot of those games look really awesome! It was a shame we didn't get more JRPG's during the SNES days here in the States. It wasn't until around the time FF3/6 & Chrono Trigger were released that more US gamers started to get into that genre with the real explosion in popularity coming with FF7 on the PS1. Since JPRG's weren't super popular in the US during most of the SNES's run and they had a LOT of text to translate they were often times left in Japan for cost reasons. Also there was the notion that US gamers didn't want games that were too complex (like FF5) which was rubbish. It also didn't help that there was a HUGE momentum shift that happened in the US 1994 when the 32 bit consoles started to be announced & released. Unless you were Nintendo or a Nintendo 2nd party dev like Rare you tended not to release anything terribly innovative on the SNES after 1994. However, the SNES seemed to hold on quite a bit longer in Japan as several of the games on this list demonstrate.
I'm not sure if someone's said this already, but Ganbare Goemon 4 absolutely has a fully playable English translation. I can send you a link to it if you want.
Saved this to watch later like a beloved to read list, expect many re-watches in the future. If you'll excuse me I'm going to legally acquire a copy of Clock Tower...
Monstania is a obscure JRPG in isometric view with a good English translation. Its pretty short (you can complete it in a few hours) but I quite enjoyed it.
Japan and foreign availability blows me away today... some of these games I had no idea existed when I was 7. I remember thinking the world revolved around super mario, contra, and metal gear. How limited I was as a child, haha
I'm surprised you didn't mention how what we knew here as robotech is actually called macross much like how megaman is actually cashed rockman (rock music, rock and roll, bass, etc) Having said that, you've introduced a handful of new games I'd be very interested in that even I wasn't aware of before despite having lived there at SFC's peak. Thank you very much!! More please!!
I love this video. Thank you for putting in the effort and educating us on some neat titles that, in this day and age, we can possibly find a translated version to play. I have some of those. Famicom Detective Club II is a thrilling murder mystery story and a real joy to experience. Sailor Moon: Another Story is one of the best RPG's I have ever played not named Earthbound. Clocktower is one of the scariest video game experiences I have ever had - a shame there are not more games like all of these. Other games not on the list I would recommend are The Firemen, where you are two firemen trying to put out a blaze in a skyscraper; Undercover Cops, another great beat 'em up for the system; and The Adventures of Hourai High, a crazy little RPG set at a high school.
These are the kind's of video's I want to make when I start my channel. There are many good games that are overlooked, and should be showcased. People like myself who grew up with SNES, are familar with Super Mario, Mega Man, Zelda, Castlevania, and Metroid. But there are many other good games that people don't talk about. Games like Brawl Brothers, Stone Protecters, Bio Metal, Raiden Trad, Nosferatu, Ghoul Patrol, Operation Logic Bomb, and others.
A little correction on Assault Suits Valken. It was released in both US and EU as Cybernator. Also you forgot to add Hero Senki: Battle of Olympus which is a decent rpg for the SFC that's left in Japan (translation patch released on dec. 24, 2019) which features characters from series such as Kamen Rider, Gundam, Ultra Man and SRW EX. Other than that great video as you shown me there are some games out there I didn't know about that was never localized in the west.
Parodius Da! is actually the first one on Super Famicom and Arcade and the one we got as simply "Parodius" in Europe. The second one, wich is exclusive to Japan, is Gokujou Parodius (but we got it on the Playstation compilation as "Fantastic Journey").
Mate, I know I'm a year late to the party, but this is the most in depth vid on super fam games I've come across. The art style of pretty much every game is timeless. Goodbye wages.
Awesome, leaned a lot ! But not a single Dragon Ball game in the top 100 ? The 2nd and 3rd battle games were good, Hyper Dimension too, and there was a DBZ RPG that looked and sounded funny but had great gameplay
I would really appreciate a couple more seconds before the game title disappears, so I don´t have to constantly pause the video to write them down. This was a great list, thanks!

@@ohdaUtube I am still one of those guys 😂
Because they couldn't
LOL
Lies! This western kid collected game mags like Game Pro and Electronic gaming monthly. Which often showed JP games. :D I owned the SF adapter for my snes and owned a few JP games. *amen for mowing lawns and having a paper route to feed my gaming addiction*
Wait... What? 2 extra zelda games?!.... Hmmmmmmm
"A GOOD Back to the Future game? And it was only in Japan? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??"
AVGN
You definitely had assault suits valken back then except it was called Cybernator
Thank you for saying it!
Haha glad I'm not the only one who caught that 😅 one of my favorites growing up.
The graphics are still beautiful after 30+ years
38:24 The game was released in Europe as Cybernator.
You could've also called this "100 Reasons To Own An Everdrive".
@Haffy I don't think Byuu has completely quit:" I will still around as always, but going forward, I'll mostly be sticking to just my personal emulator development online."
Or a raspberry pi
Just pull the little grey pegs out of the super Nintendo and done.
or "100 reasons to buy SuperNT"
So sad not having mentioned the two Aretha games, Far East Of Eden: Tengai Makyou Zero, Tenshi No Uta (Song Of The Angel, and I particularry loved so much this one, especially because this could be considered the first one made by Team Wolf, the responsibles for Tales saga origins), Super Shell Monsters II, amongst other JRPG gems Japan-only.
This was one of your best. So many more I didn’t even realize. Thank you and hope things have gotten better in your life situation.
Kamen Rider: Kah-men rider (It roughly means masker rider)
Shin Megami Tensei: Shee-n Meh-gah-mee Ten-say
You pronounced Mazinger mostly correct
Gundam: Gun-dahm
Sasuke: Sah-suh-kay (Often, the su in this is pronounced so fast it just sounds like an s, so Sah-s-kay would be correct as well)
The vowels in Japanese are similar to Spanish, as in they are always pronounced the same: a-ah, e-eh, i-ee, o-oh, u-oo
If you come across something weird, like Gouki or Gokou(the correct spelling of Son Goku's name, often also spelled with a line over the u in Goku) you pronounce the u or the o, depending on the word, double-length (Gouki is pronounced Goh-ki, with the o dragged out just slightly longer than a normal o, Gokou is pronounced Goh-koo, with the u syllabel dragged out slightly long than normal).
Agreed bs shockman belongs
Wow this video must have taken a lot of work! Thank you for putting in so much effort to not only preserve our gaming history but to share it with others. It means a lot.
ye because of these videos i only chose what game looked cool
The fact that your opening song is SNES Rainbow road immediately proved your right to make this list, that song is so under appreciated.
Radical Dreamers FINALLY saw Release in the US via the Steam Game "Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition"! :D
Must say, that thumbnail is my favourite so far. I reeeeee-ally like Yours Truely-- Princess Toadstall Peach.
I didn't see peach in a bunny suit fool
46 minutes wasted
I love the Japanese and British style SNES even the symbol looks better with all those colors. Why did we get that ugly Grey blue box here in the US.
Because they thought us Americans wouldn't appreciate such a sleek looking console.
The same reason why the PS5 looks like an internet router, I'm assuming.
The art designer of the NA SNES said that the Super Famicom looked like a loaf of bread. So yeah, that's why.
Um its purple...
I have the Analogue Super NT so now I can play Super Famicom games. You've given me a huge list of potential purchases. Thanks!
wow I'm surprised how many games from that list i was actually able to play and are part of my childhood memories. thank you SUPER Ninja (; Great video!
Erm do you practice reading out all those patron names at the end of the video?
One of my favorite Japan-only releases is _Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 2,_ it's basically a fishing RPG, and the second entry in a long-running series. There's also a fun turn-based tactical airsoft sim called _Ball Bullet Gun._
btw, _Assault Suits Valken_ did see an (albeit edited) Western release as _Cybernator_ and was even featured in Nintendo Power. 🤔
Top Hat Gaming Man: Top 100 SNES Games You Couldn't Play
Emulator: Hold my BIOS
Excellent list! So many games I'd never heard of that I can't even begin to mention all that caught my eye!
I doubt it had EVERY game
Other than that the game descriptions and use of gameplay footage are great
Also I think it's worth mentioning that super dimensional fortress: Scrambled Valkyrie is based on a manga/anime called Chou Jikkyou Yusai: Macross which was one of the anime series that was used to make Robotech. It was the first part that had Rick Hunter, Roy Fokker, Minmei etc. last time I looked it up on eBay it was going for a lot
Thank you for the work you put into these videos. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
These are always your best videos mate. ... keep going!
12:18 Star Ocean contains a DEcompression chip, not a compression chip, to decompress the already compressed graphics in real time.
Epic work! Thanks for the continuing efforts.
Ghost Sweeper Mikami is now my favorite Super Famicom game. I loves playing that one so much.
You really did “King of Demons” a disservice by showing the stage you did.
@@muajin Indeed, I absolutely love DQ5, it's one of my favs in the series. Why on earth did you pay 150 dollars for the game tho?
@@skins4thewin games were that expensive then.
@@chronology556 I hate to break it to you, but DQ5 has NEVER been anywhere near that expensive. It's actually one of the most common games in Japan and isn't worth much at all. Sounds to me like someone got ripped off pretty badly...
@@skins4thewin huh I just played the ROM translation lol.
Final Fantasy V is my favorite game,
Love the gameplay, music, story, everything.
Awesome video bro. Thanks for taking the time to make it. I know it was a lot of work.
No one ever talks about those D:)
.
A definite enjoyable video! Much effort was indeed put into it. :D
The mechanics of Treasure Conflix can be considered resurrected in FF Type-0. Once you gain access to the airship, you proceed to shooting down monsters while travelling around in the air. One has to wonder if this is how deep in their vault that SE dug to implement this or just a pure coincidence
9:40 shodai 'Nikketsu'
Another reason to regret that Nintendo canceled the SNES-CD. A lot of these titles would probably have gotten Western releases if the severe cost of mask ROM cartridges could be avoided.
Wow, I never notice western audiences miss so many great titles. Mostly, these games on the list I already play when I was a kid. They were awesome gems that I wouldn’t mind go back and play it again. I never knew Ganbare Goemon3 have a translation patch now!? This is one of my favorite game but never knew the story at all.
I've been been pretty good at staying off of eBay, and then you release this. Goodbye, bank account! Lol
Lol right so hard to control ones spending with such temptations!!!!
@@matthewlane518 And I own a Super Famicom! I don't even have to mod my SNES, and a bunch of these are on my Watchlist! lmao
Importing games has gotten so expensive since covidn
I just got the Famicom and Super Famicom systems. Mostly to pay less for those expensive U.S. Verizons of games. Then this dude comes along with a list of Japanese only games. The temptation is real
Ran across your video and channel, liked it. Subbed for more cool stuff. We did get screwed in the States, well all outside Japan. That's how it was with anime back in the day, hard to find and out of order episodes.
Been seeing you content on and off for a few years. Loved the list, finally made me subscribe.
This is an excellent list, TH, and this busy old man has a lot of catching up to do! :)
I'm not sure if someone's said this already, but Ganbare Goemon 4 absolutely has a fully playable English translation. I can send you a link to it if you want.
Good work mate, good quality production and really enjoyed your commentary. Love the length of the video - will enjoy watching it in 3 sittings
Actually, Assault Suit Valken was released in the Ocident under the name "Cybernator".
46:52 Kishin Douji Zenki - Batoru Raiden
Thank you 😊
Amazing video! I will download a many games of this list! Thanks a lot!
Dragon Quest III on the Super Famicon is legendary!
Pretty awesome stuff.
And your audio sounds really good here.
Thank you sir. Great mini reviews. Exectly what I was looking for.
Great list 👌
it took me 2 hours searching for a game that I only saw. 11 minutes into this video, and I found it. "Sanrio Smash Ball". Good stuff.
Pretty well, bloody awesome show. Well made mate.
Japan and foreign availability blows me away today... some of these games I had no idea existed when I was 7. I remember thinking the world revolved around super mario, contra, and metal gear. How limited I was as a child, haha
Big daddy tophat dropped a movie on us! Alright going to watch this before bed. 100 SNES games i can't play! I'll dream of great things I can't have.
Couldn't play!* Modern sorcery has changed things a lot over the last 30 years!
@@TopHatGamingManChannel *wink wink* haha "modern sorcery"
Assault Suits Valken did get an official release in UK with a name change. It was called Cybernator :-)
New comer to this channel and not disappoint love these videos! Great job!
I'm surprised you didn't mention how what we knew here as robotech is actually called macross much like how megaman is actually cashed rockman (rock music, rock and roll, bass, etc)
Having said that, you've introduced a handful of new games I'd be very interested in that even I wasn't aware of before despite having lived there at SFC's peak.
I can't believe that "Back To The Future" video game was not realesd in America. What the hell!!!
WOW !!! So many great unknown games! I loved "Ganbare Goemon"
This was an excellent video THGM! Give us more like this! EDIT- 42:13 Tytti! XD XD
Incredible Video! saved to my favorites
When my grandfather retired, he started bringing Famicom games back from Hawaii. Bomber man 4 was our jam!
You were also able to order them from a few diff game shops, though the prices for them were pretty high. :(
Very good video. Thanks to show the games
That thumbnail is WILD bro.
Magic knight rayearth is a fun RPG that I would recommend to anybody that’s new to the genre. I would have loved to see that game on this list
Other than that great video as you shown me there are some games out there I didn't know about that was never localized in the west.
amazing! only one game interested me. Something about a game where you can actually "make your own city" but an "action" RPG.
You talking about actraiser?
Chaos Seed!
Thank you!
Awesome, leaned a lot !
But not a single Dragon Ball game in the top 100 ?
The 2nd and 3rd battle games were good, Hyper Dimension too, and there was a DBZ RPG that looked and sounded funny but had great gameplay
Honorable mention Donald Duck and the Magical Hat, don’t remember the Japanese title but it was a Japan exclusive title 2D platformer for the snes
I would really appreciate a couple more seconds before the game title disappears, so I don´t have to constantly pause the video to write them down. This was a great list, thanks!
There is a full list of games as a pinned comment if that helps!
sure it does. thank you!
This was a great list of Super Famicom games!
Whenever i see bomberman i cant help but think of Eric and the floaters lol
