18:24 This right here, Pig gets mutas. "Wheeeee!" This is exactly why they are my favorite unit to play.
And yes, lots of experience with people telling me mutas aren't a real unit or whatever, usually losing to mutas as they say it. Do I have a great MMR? No. Am I having more fun? Probably yes.
Mutas have always been in my mind the coolest unit in SC1 and 2
Zerg flappy birds ftw!
PiG: Roach warren was necessary for safety because..

Stiffy!
You're right, that is fun.

I feel like the mindset of optimal gameplay only kinda stems from League and how they handle stats and data.
Everyones so focused on playing "correctly" that they write off builds with massive risk/rewards as cheeses, even if the r/r is balanced.
If this build is weak when it gets scouted, that doesn't mean the build is unplayably weak, it just means there's a weakness you need to mitigate
It's a general symptom of stagnancy and homogenization. The same people who pushed for the latter and are content with the former, will complain about someone deviating from the norm and taking advantage of their underpreparedness. Happens in any game trying to be competitive.
Yeah I've been noticing a lot of Muta games and Muta content in the past couple weeks and I think they're coming back in style. Even the hard counters are stuff you can generally just fly away from, or sandwich with Corruptors in the case of Phoenixes. I predict, and HOPE we see more of this fast moving glass cannon style Zerg play in the high levels soon. Players have gotten so good at dealing with the turtley styles and the common ground comps, but Mutas just put on so much pressure it makes everyone crack
I wonder if adding broodlords to this might be interesting, it would lose a lot of mobility but could get some advantage in taking out a ground based defense in the earlier parts if they don't build vikings or phoenix right?
So both PiG and Harstem doing moooootas today. I still don't think I can handle them
hey what about the mirror race tournament? where the players have to use the opponents main race?
This was fun - I used to do this build 3 years ago to great success then stopped dunno why... I think I didn't have the macro/multi-tasking to go further with it at M2 level :(
What was that opener? 14 hatch 14 overlord spore trick to get an extra drone and then 14 pool? Never seen that one before
I believe its 15 hatch, 15 ovie, 15 pool. Extractor trick to get to 15 both times. It's a slightly less economical opening than the standard (no extractor trick builds) from what I understand, but it's safer in some scenarios because it gets your queens out super fast. I usually see it vs terran but I guess PiG is doing it here to keep himself safe during his tricky proxy spire plays while he techs up.

PiG the cerebrate. The stuff of nightmares.
If you even knew how mean she really is... every Thursday, he thinks she's going ling bane, but really, she's playing mutas in the projection room above the auditorium, and *I* never told anybody that, because I'm - SUCH - a good friend!
Mean Zergs - great film. I loved Cerebrate Lohan in that one
Awaken my child, and embrace the glory that is your birthright. Know that I am the Overmind, the eternal will of the Swarm, and that you have been created to _please_ tell Aaron his hair looks sexy pushed back.
Cheers mate! Put the fear of mutas back into terran so we can start being greedier in the mid-game again
Looks like Reynor is going all-in for Starcraft. I would like to see for the next 5 years who will be on top, serral or reynor
Wonder if this is Huk the old pro player.
lol, that last bit made me laugh so hard! :D
You seem gay
I'm anything but a pro, but why did you send your overlord at the left side AWAY from his base and not into it? It was dead anyway bc of the Void Ray and could have found relevant tech if you'd have sent it in.
If you feel trapped into doing a certain built or style to win, first thing check to see if you're a pro trying to make money. If not, check to see if you're playing for fun cause why else would you
awesome strat!
Here is a BRAIN BLAST: go mass muta... like 30+... but split them into 2 groups. You can consider it hardcore training for your micro and multitasking at the same time.
haha Brood War style! That's an awesome idea I used to split my mutas up in ZvZ like... 10 years ago lol. It's been a hot minute will have to try that next time!
I love my wife, I love steak, and I fking love watching Protoss players lose🎉🎉🎉
In first game the opponent is "||||||||||||" ... isn't that Harstem?
Vegan and gay makes the best place to live because good food? I hope you're talking about gay food (never tried it but I can imagine they make good food) cause I know for a fact vegan is terrible.
I haven't lived off it but I've had a lot of really good vegetarian food, at least some of it was probably vegan. Definitely easier to make top tier vegetarian than vegan food since you get to use eggs/dairy/cheese
