- I just LOVE the Zerg's build order today! It's such a nice mindgame and caught our Terran player completely off guard, leading to this beauty of a complaint form! Enjoy!

#harstem #SC2 #StarCraft2
- lose workers, mining time and delay cc to 6 lings
- not a single drone kill
- lose more workers and add-ons to mutas
- stay on marine marauder
- be outmined 2x rate entire game
- dont split army or medivacs
And he almost won the game with marine marauders against a zerg that had the creep spread, spellcasters, higher tech, more army supply and more mining. I say T is the imba race and stim should be evaluated.
Zerg player had no idea how to take fights lol
@@danielhollick1708I don’t think that should really be the most important factor when he was objectively better in almost every other respect, and the Terran was taking fights only marginally better…
I love Hamster changing the Terran's icon in the bottom to what I can only assume is a salesman at 5:29 .
Are you by chance interested in our new vacuum cleaner?
@@hamster_designs Can it suck banelings without exploding them?
omg i didn't even notice that. :)
Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny too. Office Terran 😂
Hamster is something different :D
Let me complain about 16 Drones at a time, right after casually dropping 12 Mules
hahaha I think they dont feel the same because although they are insane, they arent a permenant addition to your economy in the same way that SCV/drones are. That having been said, my man is out here queueing up 12 SCV's on his 3 orbitals so....(obviously if you think of the mule as like " i get 1 per 63.492s per orbital which is 200-225 minerals and it lasts 64s and a normal worker on average mines at most 0.8 minerals/s so a mule is worth ~3.5-4 SCV). I decided i was interested and did the math. So I guess building an orbital essentially gains you that many SCV's if you mule constantly.
@@eds7228 soo, in a sense, MULes are a permanent unit then.. 😂
@@eds7228 You'll have energy to replace a MULE right after it expires so if you instantly re-MULE after, you'd have "permanent" MULES. But we Terran players love spamming scans since we're insecure against Banelings.
@@eds7228 drones are not a permanent addition to economy: they die when zero more any building
@abyrvalg_ they make buildings which are part of zerg infrastructure so its not like they're wasted. That's why zergs can build many more as well
Don't play SC2 anymore or watch anyone play it anymore but man, Every time I see a new episode for the IMBA series I find myself watching it every time. Thank you for the content man.
I never even played, still watch these, I really like his style of humour
i was that way for a while. stopped playing and watching. then i saw harstems videos on my feed after a long break, now i can’t stop playing sc2 again…
I got these breaks from sc2 for various reasons, and I must say , its usually harstem videos that make me play again.
Yeah, its the longest series ive ever watched in my life
My favourite series coz hamster is editing
This complaint can be summarized as : I stayed on 3 bases for almost the entirety of the game. Zerg expanded to 7 and teched up. How did I lose? Oh, and they also had a macro hatch for more queens and larvae. Good times.
Don't forget floating 1000 minerals 7 minutes in, after complaining about zerg floating 1000s of minerals in the form 😂
Typical Terran.
Barcode zerg in a true governmental fashion just threw money at the problem and won, good showing.
@@eds7228 it's just how diamond is. Different people have different strengths. Zerg was vastly superior in macro and game sense to terran, but terrible in engagements. As Harstem said, if he works for a few months on his engagements he would easily be low masters at least.
@@eds7228 this comment sounds really salty
God help us if the zerg ever figure out deficit spending
I haven't watched the replay part yet, so I paused the video at 1:54 just to process what I heard/saw/read. And this is a short version of this complaint: "I was behind my opponent in debut, midgame and late. I failed here, here and here. Zergs are IMBA"
I'm going to start calling people "Two mattress careful" and no one will know what I'm talking about
Oh this was IMBA for sure, for the Zerg. My man was ahead in so many ways and yet he still struggled to close it out.
Harstem starts the video by telling the zerg that he doesn't need to barcode because no-one will steal his builds, then spends the rest of his video praising his build. Maybe he deserves his barcode status.
I think he meant to say "see his builds," because pros will use information about someone's builds on the ladder to beat them in tournaments. In this case, if the zerg has a build good enough for pros to steal, you'd figure he'd want them to give him credit for it, meaning the barcode still doesn't make sense.
Be honest, are you him?
@@DTwoHS pros yes, but in lower leagues, barcode players usually play only one build - if you remember the name of the player you can hard-counter
22:20 is the fail of the good old "f2 all army button" he missclicked and moved alle the units to the wrong direction.
I also though that he was incorrect about the ultra splash damage being the same, PiG said it was based off the unit size so it was proportionally reduced as well.
no idea why complain about ultras, once ultras are out is usually gg game for the zerg, how to lose a game as zerg gets ultras...
no concussive shells entire game :(
Harstem in the video: I don't know how much you can complain, well technically you can complain any amount ...
Harstem at the end of the video: Don't write me again.
That zerg's lategame is legit the same as mine except less extreme. My engagements are usually worse but my creep is usually better(only thing thats better lol), my supply block time is usually 7 minutes, and I like 110 drones. So I'm only 4-500mmr lower.
Anyone able to explain what Reynor's tweet meant? What does "Replay: 4 hours" mean? I don't play starcraft so I'm not used to seeing the UI outside of the gameplay that I watch.
It means harstem's been watching a replay for the past 4 hours, a very long time to watch a replay.
@Bashus Scratch Thanks man!
@@Joe_mammmapresumably, he went afk or something halfway through the replay; either that, or it was an hour-long game with a lot of mind games and stuff.
Harstem, the red Line around the Thumbnail looks like "already seen the video"
Sucks stamp not making the sound must be in one of those “deeply unsatisfying things” video compilation.
22:46
Oof, I feel bad for that lady being "rescued" by the helicopter
"This sounds absolutely ludicrous but I assure you, this story is 100% real." lmao ... Hamster once again with the clutch saves, both reading my mind-anticipating my questions as I think them-and backing up his boy Harstem ... because YES ... this story IS absolutely ridiculous, lol ... and Harstem makes up SO many things, but ... Life is often crazy ... glad to know Harstem was not bending the truth on this one! 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks, Hamster!
I wouldn’t mind this guy writing in again he made for an entertaining iodis and I love Terran delusion. They have to press the stim button and the burrow button for mines obviously their race is way harder
The splitscreen showing the CC flying around aimlessly is pure savagery
25:22 ''... what a wonderful woooorld!''
Louis Harstrong
The terran must have been trolling when he wrote that imba complaint. There is no way he believes that he should have won this game. He didn't split his marines even once the entire game. He right-moved entire armies into banelings. And, his macro was behind the zerg the entire time.
I can't believe these are diamond players. This applies to the zerg too. He attacked marines with only muties. That was painful to watch.
I would take a random dog walker in charge of Twitter, personally
I think he’s on to something. Being up 30 workers is pretty IMBA
I love all your stories and analogies, thank you captain.
After that summary I was thinking of Team America World Police "I love your balls!"
AAAAh. Waking up on a wonderful Saturday, did my shopping, made coffe, cake ready, and watching the newest IODIS. Like every Saturday. This has become what I am looking for to on Friday;)
So I've played the sc2 campaign several times and I understand how rts work (sc/bw was first online game I ever played outside of just 1v1 or 2v2 over the dial up modem, games of doom 2 and Duke nukem3d) and from watching harstem, lowko and pig for 2-3 years+ I have memorized things like unit matchups and variations of openings and the purpose of those openings and things like base layouts timings etc. I decided to play some 1v1s and I quickly realized I had forgotten to set game speed to fastest all these times I've gone through the campaigns. Lmao what a rude awakening it was to play on the proper speed after playing on normal. Got completely steamrolled and even though I still knew what I had to do my brain just couldn't keep up. Lmao as an old man it gave me new respect for what the pros and guys like harstem and Co are able to do.
Actually had it not been for an Asian nail salon owner, who at that time was himself an older man in video game years, from chicago and went by the alias Dink finding me in a pub server in the early EARRRLY days of counter-strike (by early I mean from day one when cs was just one of many mods for half life and had under 500 downloads when I installed it along with a similar fps based around one person being a spy and others figuring out who it is... years before they even considered a retail release) and introducing me to what became my obsession for the next 15 years in 5v5 league style play (it was season 2 of CAL I joined my first roster) I probably would have gone pro sc/bw instead of cs. Makes me wonder how it would've turned out for me back then. Lol Makes me wish esports were even a mainstream thing back then, or that streaming was a thing. Could've capitalized on it and made some cake. We basically got mice and keyboards and headsets along with travel expenses from our sponsors. By today's standards a measly weak ass salary too lol. Our big tourneys were twice a year in Dallas called the CPL and was a 250k prize pool. These days there's what. 4 majors? Million bucks per and a slew of minors and qualifying tourneys in-between. Sc2 tourneys every week, multiple if I'm not mistaken? Lol I'm jelly!!
Dude, it is just a matter of practice. It is common that after campaigns you fall into bronze or silver league, no matter how fast was the speed.
i'm dying while seeing CC flying around
That helicopter spin vid is sick. The lady is 74 and was stable. She only gave 1 star for the ride.

I thought he said "Juul"ing in the wild west and was like....... vaping???? ohhhhhh DUELING!!!!!!!
Hamster is the true mvp! Omg those edits were wonderful!!!!
Also still waiting for the Terran that cried about voids being imba when I beat him with carriers and phoenix... he said he was gonna send it to harstem... haven't seen it yet
Vorsichtig (German) means försiktig (Swedish) which indeed means careful. (English, duh.) 👍
Swedish and German has many words that shares similar pronunciation and spelling, much more than English, which also has words that is similar to Swedish spelling/pronunciation, but sometimes it's quite different in German, like the number 2, which is two/två but zwei in German (like what the hell is zwei??)
5:30 „…your shituation…” xD
This episode just shows how strong Stim is. It was the reason this game lasted this long imo
via zerg, yeah stim is the best thing ever
@@SaiKisaragi I like to stim with my best friend lol
not only that but he almost won the game despite the Zerg outplaying him at every level.
I find it funny that people complain about queens being OP and we do agree with them that they are. But the reality of Zerg is if we didn't have queens we would get shit on by any air unit rush.
just in case you didn't understand his name Captain "vorsichtig" means "voorzichtig" in Dutch
On the thumbnail alone I thought this Imba complaint was one of me playing. Lately I’ve been running a 16 pool 17 hatch opening that perfectly shows up with 6 lings when terrans are still making a cc on the low ground.
You get a free worker kill every time. And all you do is drone up and delay the cc as long as possible. If they cancel the cc it’s an auto loss for the Terran. And if they don’t it’s generally delayed long enough for you to go into a regular macro game
I find it funny how a Terran complains about the zerg ability to produce more than 1 drone at a time while having the ability to just send mules with no mineral cost. We Protoss can only chrono boost😢
I really wish people would stop complaining about the macro mechanic differences.
Protoss don't loose proves when summon the buildings even don't loose mining time.
@@abyrvalg_ lose.
Loose is the opposite of tight or tighten
@@HellecticMojo sure. Not native language.
Landlords both suck and are IMBA, it's quite the unfortunate feat
wild west, as someone who lives in an area formerly known by that, was "wild" due to a couple factors, Lack of law enforcement or people willing to, lack of many travel paths basicly just open terrain that you could get turned around in, gangs, and un-civilized or "settled" with a handful of people per "town".
He didn't split his medavic, but ngl he did split and microed a lot with his bio ball.
I'm sensing 13-13 with zerg cheesiest man alive xD
That's why you get so many exp, so you can just a-move all the time and even if you lose your army you can just rebuild. What's the problem, it's a thing :D
why isnt there a terran symbol behind the id of the terran? is it from harstem to know who send the iodis form?
Hamster changed it after the Salesman joke 5 minutes in.
@@letopizdetz thx, i must have overlooked it
Huge shout-out to the ppl who submit games for review.
If I ever submit one and then find out harstem thinks I suck, my self image would never recover.
"please dont write me again" caught me off guard :D damn
this game was over at the 8 min mark lol
The hand shakes came from the wild west, it was to make sure the other person wasn't concealing a gun.
The hand shake exists since prehistoric times says wikipedia
That's a banger for sure
Me gustó las analogías e ironias de ataque por Bélgica y Países bajos
I think, beside the start, the Terran and the Zerg played pretty well for their MMR.
this is the best sc2 series, since i started watching it im just wayyyy better at the game some how
I laugh so loud at the beginning of the game! Good game tho!
what is so crazy is that, even without splits the terran was coming out ahead resources lost in most of those fights just stimming and kiting. Only saving grace was that zerg was mining on double the bases as the terran. Ultras are just soooo bad, I always get a kick out of people who call them IMBA.
Why is my max quality on 30% Harstem videos 240p
Someone tell me I'm not the only one who heard "jewel" and "jeweling" rather than duel and dueling in his story lol
The fact that this terran reached this mmr playing like that is a true testament to how imbalanced terran really is
I think it is very easy to underestimate how hard another race is in Starcraft because each race needs to do different things to do well.
As an example, Terran needs to have the right number of buildings and different building types to keep continuous production of units without overinvesting, placing the right amount buildings and add-ons is an important skill to learn for Terran players. On the other hand, Zerg players get all their units from a single building and therefore don't have to worry about placing the right buildings.
Zerg must keep up with economy while still making enough units to survive before they can reach. Being able to scout your opponent and balance between economy and military is the an important skill to learn for Zerg players. On the other hand, Terran players can only build one worker at a time from a command centre, since they are limited in the investment they can make into workers they always produce workers and military at the same time.
A Zerg player might see a Terran player failing at the most basic skill for them and vice versa, but each race is really playing its own game.
@@sevenpolar3483 well said
why do people make bar codes instead of get creative with their secondary names?
You're a content MACHINE!
Can someone explain the Screen-Shot from Reynors tweet at 2:19 for me please?
harstem had been studying a replay for 4 hours (though he could have been afk the entire time as far we know)
360 ok no, 280 degree LOL
Very tricksy precious
This would have been a great game for Rank Roulette.
as a german i can confrim that vorsichtig indeed means careful
Perfect timing
If this terran bothered to hit 80 workers instead of sitting at 58, this would have been an easy T win with how that zerg player fights. Terran was winning the fights even with all the mistakes, and winning very big. It was the lack of mining and lack of ability to provide faster reinforcements 100% in my opinion.
This is one of the Terranest complaints I've ever seen
Replay for 4 hours 💀
I'm D3 and the Terran's I face all have better micro than this. NA must be easier than EU server
Pls, don't write to me again is the biggest insult yet
He actually did split a bit VS the ultras in the first 2 fights. For a 3,6k player it seemed OK.
I dont think he needed to split vs ultras. The ultras died to the stimmed bio before they even got to attack lol.
Let's watch somebody get A moved.
Yeah, the Zerg did get a-moved quite frequently.
My mams got smurfed on.
Is that viper ability actually worth using or is it situational
Every single one of viper's spells is incredibly useful.
Parasitic Bomb kills clumped up air units, and is great at smacking a fleeing army.
Abduct is used to pull high value units into your Zerg army. Think sieged up Siege Tanks in hard to get locations, liberators, Carriers, etc.
Blinding Cloud reduces every Ground unit and structure inside of it's attack range to 1. Effectively it makes every single ranged unit a melee unit, which is useful in the case of Roaches/Hydras vs a Planetary Fortress, shutting down clumps of Siege Tanks, getting the quick drop on a stationary army, etc.
Can someone explain the Raynor / replay joke, please. I don't understand what is being shown on the screen, is that a single game replay, or total replay time watched, or what? Sorry, SC2 watcher not player :(
Yeah, he was looking at 1 replay for 4 hours. Probably was AFK tbh but it's funny to think he was analysing a replay for 4 hours.
@@LuisCastro-fg2wb Thanks man! :)
more imba vids harstem
You struggle with muta? Put 1 or 2 cannons and it will kill them all one by one
The zerg is a macro player and the Terran is a mid game player maybe.
Truly mid
I want to be líke this zerg, he's so cool
It is clear that Tehran must be imba since he survived this long in a match, where he was clearly outmatched…😂😂😂
This just proves terran is imba if anything such a great game by the zerg and yet terran survived that long
Is the Reynor joke in the beginning a joke about the game lasting 4 hours and saying (jokingly) that Harstems strength lies in his endurance thus making it into kind of a sex joke?
Or am I making this way to complicated?
the tweet is about harstem spending 4 hours studying a single replay
3:55 why does belgium suck 😢
Harstem I challange you to a juel!
im suprised that this is not gold
There is no reason the race that wins almost everything got any buffs tho, so I think the complaints about Ultras is fair, tho should have come from a protoss. Lets face it the last patch was horrible and cost the game a massive chunk of its player base so reguardless of what Harstem thinks about it, the balance council totally failed at its job.
well, he's not wrong that ultras are way overdone now that they're smaller and attack faster/more often
it might has to be looked into again
This game was still perfectly winnable at 17 minutes for our plantiff. T = easy mode, every match proves this more deeply, even at the pro level. And if some of you didn't catch it, our easy mode player here was down almost 30 workers at one point and STILL out mining his opponent.
If you are just starting SC2, play terran, at least until the next update. There's never been a more forgiving and hand-holding time for the race.
"you can now fit 6 new ultras in the space of 2 old, so imba"
-Guy who only ever fought groups of 2 or 3 ultras
You can literally loose all your workers and continue the game. This is too easy for real.
5:29 I have to slightly disagree with Harstem here, in terms of losses, I think most people use that term for units lost and thus he only lost 3 SCVs, which is honestly less than I was expecting when the attack started. Sure, there was a lot of other types of damage inflicted, but if the guy meant units, it is not a far fetched statement to call that low losses.
You can flame the terran all you want, but for a person who doesn't get paid to play the game literally ALL DAY LONG, he and his opponent delivered an amazing game of starcraft.
It's IMBA because zerg is so much harder to play, that they have so much more skill to get to the same mmr.
and please don't write me again :D rofl
I have to downvote you because of the attack on Belgium.
19:14 u killed the mutas guy... pick up your units and fly away dummy 😆😆😆😆
20:24 its obvious he has nooo idea how to use the very FREE unit called the widowmines........... parks 5 of them in 1 clump in one spot inbetween anything important.
a terran complaining about muta is insane
