Awesome video series! This is the first time I've heard of "freeze scrapping." Really insightful and probably the best videos I've seen covering the entire buffalo tanning process.
A long time ago I read a book called “Naked into the Wilderness - Primitive Survival and Living Skills”. Great book that covered many things including brain tanning hides. This video brought back what I had read in that book. Great job ladies and great video.
You will want to try to get the hide all white before braining. Smoke in between brainings, less water is better with these hides as the fibers structure is very loose and they can fall apart if they stay wet for too long. For thinning, just below the vein channels of the hide is usually a safe bet. Will be interested to see the next video

i leave it to dry then dry scrape it can i wet it to apply the salt for 15 hours

Generally cut the tail off.
