When they put the V8 back in the Tundra I will get one. Until then I will just keep the two V8 Tundra's I have now. Too much risk for such an expensive truck. I bet the 2025 Tundra's will continue to have the same problems as the 22 & 23's and most likely the 24's.

At least they have stepped up to an average rating in consumer reports.
I want to see high mileage examples for a few years. I want to know the motor, tranmission, and turbos last as long as the V8.
I want reliability. Toyota hasn't proved nothing except for poor quality and unreliability with this new platform.

Still got my 2020 Trd pro army green tundra. Hitting 150k miles in the next few weeks. Zero issues. I’ve decided I will replace anything that breaks if it does. I’m running it to the ground. I don’t care. I’m done with new vehicle payments and I love it to much to get what is essentially a driving iPhone truck. All these new vehicles are garbage even Toyota now. Plus 90% of the new tundras are ugly as hell except for the lunar rocks lifted with bigger tires, the solar octane and all black.

Not anything to brag about but a $70,000 truck is certainly not in my income level. I look for lower milage older trucks or used with reasonable miles. For Toyota trucks in past with 100,000 miles were still reliable and capable of many more miles. Twin turbo engine after 100,000 miles no possibility of long-term reliability nor would one at my income level afford the repair and maintenance of that nightmare. 10 yrs from now i suspect junk used twin turbo Tundras are gonna be everywhere. Those who can do so will just buy a new vehicle. Those who would generally be in the market for used tundra will be passing on threre turbo models. Just cant afford to fix or maintain them. Gonna be alot of junk tundras out there sold for parts.. Lol

@ it’s because they’re not the same truck. Much more tech in the area this was important to me and my wife and for our children is safety. For example the tundra went from the worst crash safety rating truck to the very best now out there check out national Highway traffic safety administration or the insurance institute any of these fact checking‘s will show that. I feel they’re a better value than they used to be.

You might want to check the safety ratings of the 2017 - 2021 Tundra much higher than the new gen Tundra.
      Crash testing way better.
I'm guessing you may be referring to the tech. But no way you justify 30% price increase for the tech...

@ Tell me your source of the crash safety ratings I am looking at the IIHS website for 2021 tundra which is the last year the previous design giving marginal to poor impact safety ratings and similar for headlights. Now look at it for the 2023. What is your source. National highway safety traffic of us ration did give the previous gen four stars and three stars on rollover new generation has five stars across-the-board. Kirk House address this in a previous video on tundra crash safety ratings as well being so superior in the best of full-size trucks in the new generation. Have a great day

I just dont like the number of bad reports on these small, high perf engines & transmissions. You're asking ALOT of these tiny engines, which is why reliability suffers. There is a reason that the racing industry does a complete teardown & rebuild after each run. 🤷‍♂️. I mean, you're not obtaining THAT level of performance on these drivetrains, but the point is the same. I have a 2017 Tundra Platinum CrewMax 5.7L with 57,000mi to keep me happy for quite awhile. Also have a 2005 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport 4.0L with 410,000mi on it (without any major drivetrain repairs). Still going strong as my daily driver. THOSE are the kinds of numbers that we want to see our Toyota truck obtain!
At least spending $50k, $60k, $70k on a new Toyota truck, while still painful, isn't NEARLY as bad if you can reasonably expect to get 400,000 - 500,000 miles out of it, should you choose to do so.
These new little high-revers are gonna be LUCKY to make it to 100,000 before they're TOAST. 🤷‍♂️🤦

Junk. Traded my 2024 hybrid TRD limited Tundra. Owned it for 10 months. Toyota says the wind coming through the doors and windows is a "characteristic of the vehicle." Hybrids are not part of the recall, and no extended warranty offered to cover those engines. I traded for an F-350. Couldn't be happier.

I still receive compliments on my Army Green 21 Tundra. The one with no engine recalls and the last Tundra with V8 power and the last Tundra with real hydraulic-assist mechanical steering giving the driver direct feedback from the road. But hey I understand some folks like the electric-motor steering that will yank the wheel, overriding the driver input, during its lane centering feature; if the AI thinks the driver is unsafe. Betcha next gen Tundra will have a Johnny Cab robot in the drivers seat because Toyota AI determines that humans are both unsafe and fuel wasteful drivers. V happy I don't have to drool over a new lesser trim Tundra for beaucoup bucks more money than my Limited. $475 for a white paint job OMG. Naw, Toyota put me out of the Tundra market in 2022 and just this year with the 6th Gen 2025 4Runner Market moving down from a V6 to a blown 4 banger. Happy with my Forever Tundra and 2024 4Runner (also with real hydraulic-assist mechanical steering, but that also ended with the 2024 production.)

Yup! I believe its free for a year on the app, after that you can still do it through a key sequence

@@TundraDude34 there is no way i would ever spend $50-60-70-80 grand on a truck and then have to pay monthly for remote start. how in the world do people put up with that

Is this guy endorsed by Toyota? Too many issues with this truck to purchase

No sir, just an enthusiast. There is plenty good about the truck as well. I’m not the only one who likes it, 2024 is the 2nd best sales year for the Toyota Tundra all time. Bugs to work out, for sure. But what manufacturer doesn’t have them these days. Based on reputation, who do you trust the most to get it where it needs to be?

These trucks are so far behind the ford F150 and gmc sierras I own a 2010 tundra crew max 113,000 miles runs like a champion
My next truck gonna be a v8 coyote f-150
Unless Toyota changes the look of their truck from Star Wars star trooper 6 cylinders and offers v8 !!! Every time my son sees new tundra from the from he screams STAR TROOPER DAD !!!!! I have to admit from the front looks just like a star trooper mask 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Toyota has lost it !!!!!

These trucks are still way overpriced they need drop the prices like $5000 + give us an option for the V8 and bring back the reliability and quality control of the gen 2 Tundra there has been many gen 2 reaching a million miles and many more with 100,000+ miles trouble free I wouldn’t be surprised if they start making the tundra in Mexico just like the Tacoma
