I remember back in the mid 90's a surf fisherman caught a small Marlin of the beach there at Tathra. It's incredible what you can catch in that area. Nice one Larry.
Crushed me, don't get many good chances in the winter. This is such a beautiful part of the world and just trying to share a little piece of it with everyone.
Live bait the yakka lost something big from that corner of the wharf. Awesome fishing spot missing the south coast. Keep up with vids mate loving them.
That was the best hit in a couple weeks, so a bit disappointing. Trying a few new places this week with the nice weather, but the water temp took a big drop this month, been tough catching anything with some size.
Fishing has been slow for a lot of people it seems but they are still biting enough to keep us all interested. And you got to feed the birds while you were there. Bonus! LOL
Been feeding them damn things everywhere of late LOL Water temp has finally dropped, so it will be a bit slow going for a few weeks. Thanks Joe and how you liking Arkansas?
yacka yacka don't talk backa 😆Rig breaking was a bummer! Nice looking Wharf/pier Liked the young guys giving your channel a shoutout! Might of been a slow day but I'm sure you still enjoyed yourself!
Another great session Larry, you’ve got soo much area to fish……. It must be a great place to live in Eden! I love seeing it when the big rod starts bending, it happens the other day to me and the fish got off aswell, it didn’t snap me just spat the hook. Keep up the great work! Tight lines Larry 🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣
There are too many spots down here within an hour+ of Eden, including some freshwater spots. Love when the big rod gets hit hard, gets you pumped. Thanks so much for watching!
@@TobysfishingNoutdoors Trout, Redfin, Australian Bass, and Carp. Been waiting to get the kayak thing figured out, so this spring/summer I'll give them a go.
@@LarrysFishing good luck mate! With the trouties you might wanna go in the colder season, that’s when they’re really active and either power bait or worms work really well or lures!
Well you gave it a go and good to see something big did hit that bait at some stage, what pound is the high low rig? You probably want 30lb at least for a big jewie... Keep at it mate, some big fish will be there and eventually you will get one on the big bait 👍 Was awesome to hear you tried a live bait out for a while mate 👍 Some new fans hey, can't complain with that mate, they gave a great shout out for you.
It was 20 pound line on that rig, shouldn't break that easy, but thanks for the tip. Going to the local tackle shop today, went through too much gear with the rock fishing this week. The young guys were stoked when they saw me there, so just tried to make thier day. Thanks Mick!
Tried that for about an hour without a touch, but in saying that, plenty of people out there on this day and just not much being caught. Thanks for the advice and hopefully I can get out there again when the road gets finished.
That is a huge wharf, Larry…. Great video mate.
It is a good sized one and great to see it back open. I'll get over there again in the spring/summer. Thanks for waching!

Oh wow, that would have been so cool. Thanks for watching!
That line break was a heartbreaker, Larry! Looks like all 3 locations were pretty peaceful though

Thanks for the kind words and I'll get out there again when the water temp gets up a bit.
Looks like another amazing location Larry. An Amzing Sky!! Plenty of action - good fun.
Weather has been great the last few days, thanks as always for watching!
It’s not very often you can get Tathra Wharf to yourself…..thanks for sharing Larry.
I'm guessing that won't be the case come summer LOL Thanks for watching!
Missed the big one mate, that's bad luck, great to see the wharf improvements

Was there in april absolutele ripper spot only half a pier though, glad they've finished the pier and its now easier to access
Looks good, they did a great job. Looks like the road work is going to take a few weeks, but can't wait to give it another go.

Had a blast with some nice weather and good people around. Thanks Chris!
👍
Thanks!
Slow Day but still managed to catch some fish. Very pretty place to fish.
Water temp has dropped this last week, a bit late in the winter, so it might be like this for a few weeks, but thanks for watching and take care!

@@TobysfishingNoutdoors Season is closed down here, doesn't open until October, but yeah, in the States always fished for them in the winter months.
Bummer about that line break! Wonder what that was!
Got a feeling it was a Salmon or Tailor after talking with a couple other guys fishing there.

Slow day, but still some fish
Middle of winter now, so a lot of the fish have moved out, but we'll keep pluggin'. Thanks Sean!
I thought they closed the Tathra Warf? I used to fish of this Warf as a kid with fond memories
They did for a bit while it was being restored. Just finished the wharf, next up is the road.
Definitely stinks that one got away. It seemed to be bending the rod pretty good. Next time!
It hit hard and that was 30 pound line that snapped like it was nothing grrrrrrrr LOL
Cheap line ?????
I bought that rig online, won't do that again LOL
Try putting out a little live yakka either unweighted or on a float off there’s, especially on the run-in plenty of big salmon come past
