I normally use circle hooks, but our tackle shop ran out of the size I use, so tried some J hooks, it does make a difference. Thanks!!!

Far too low, couldn't have been more than 45cm deep and 90 minutes w/o a single bite.

Love fish, but freezer is full, so I don't keep anything unless a neighbor asks for some. Cheers!

Been a good week :) Rock fishing some nice Salmon, and Helco replaced the lure! Heading to Deni for a few days to help out at the shop, hopefully I can get on a Cod while there.

I'm actually waiting on a new reel to put on that rod, that reel has been oiled, its just grinding. Hopefully just another week or so until it arrives.

Thanks Mick, fun session of fishing and watching! The young guy had a blast and they are coming back for the June long weekend, but I'll be in Deni for a few days, so I'll miss them on this time. Tried fly fishing when I was young, like 11-12 years of age with my pops, but after he passed, never tried again. Looks fun, but a lot of work LOL
