Real-Life Review of Reduce 14oz Hot 1 Mug 2-Pack Costco Item 1371796 (Does it stay hot for 4 hours?)

tl;dw: It kept the coffee warm for 4 hours but only if you keep the sipper closed. Otherwise it lasts 3 hours.

Fill em with hot water for a while and temper the mug before you pour the coffee in and it will stay even hotter

I have tried it for awhile with only coffee and when I just put in plain water to drink (after a thorough cleaning) it has a tinny taste. I will return them to Costco.

I'm wondering, can this 14oz hot 1 mug be used for cold drink as well? Why do "Reduce" have 2 different kind of mugs/ tumblers for HOT & COLD drink? I thought any insulated tumbler/ mug can be used for both...

That's a good question. I love iced coffee. I'll put some ice and water in one of the cups and let you know in a few hours.

@@minerallady So I tested it and the starting temperature was 55F at 5:24AM with 4 ice cubes, then 57F @ 8:26AM, then 58.3F @ 9:28AM with an exterior temperature of 70 degrees. Lid was on and closed. The cup only saw a 3.3F temperature increase over 4 hours. I would say they can easily keep your drink cool. Time to brew some iced coffee :)

A hot mug can be used for cold drinks but a cold mug shouldn’t be used for hot if it has an airtight seal. Hot drinks need a hole for expansion.
