The dark rim and deep dish bowl is stunning to look at from any perspective. It would almost be a sin to put anything in it. I made a segmented bowl at college out of three strips of wood differing in thickness and color cut into eight segments and glued together and glued to a base. My center was ever slightly out however and the bowl was not symmetrical. I was so bummed out when I lost it years later. I still mourn its loss today years and years on. When you turn a bowl a connection is made, there is a part of you in it, especially your earlier attempts.
