I will. This one was on a whim to cover some stuff for someone who was asking about it, but I will actually plan one and cover things more in depth in another video.
Thanks so much for this man! We need more content teachers when it comes to Morrowind modding and development! Thank you for you work and time! You have a new sub my friend, keep em comming :)
I want to add here after much struggles I realized that this tutorial doesn't work with some versions of blender. I spent hours trying to figure out why nothing would import. I backed up to version 3.6 and it resolved the problem.
Honestly, an oasis in a desert. I was wondering if you ever considered making a tutorial with something I find very hard. A gauntlet or glove, editing it in blender, and then putting it into the Construction Set. It is driving me insane, to say the least, and I am finding it hard finding any other tutorials on it. If not, I still want to thank you for this video all the same!
I'm curious as to if I can change a singular item's mesh and texture? I am running OpenMW and TR and the blade of white woe was missing a texture somewhere in the modline and the only texture I could find to replace it was made in 2004, any advice?
trying to do this, but for some reason I get this error with the plug in. any idea what it is? "ImportError: cannot import name 'meshoptimizer' from 'es3.utils' (unknown location)"
Just from a brief glance this is for weapons. Wondering if what is show here applies to character models? I've been editing a model recently I want to port over my character in Morrowind. (I don't want armor to mess with this model I'm making either)
Your character will need to be broken up into the proper body parts. Head, hair, upper arm, forearm, wrist, hands, chest, upper leg, knee, ankle, and feet. You’ll want to import each type of body part from the “b” folder in order to have them ordered correctly.
@@canevas1017 Yes. The video shows much more than just making a weapon. It’s an introduction into everything morrowind model related other than animations.
@@SaintIgnatious hey I unpacked the BSA found folder b with all the meshes. Im worried that if I replace the pieces of the orc (which Is the race I'm playing as) that my custom model I made will be put into other npc orcs. Is this not the case? And I also fear it's gonna glitch out wearing armor
This tutorial was awesome! I dove right in and duplicated a dark elf head and reworked it to look like an Ash Zombie. I didn't touch the animations at all, but did rearrange the mesh a bit. Both the blinking and mouth opening animation work still, albeit the blinking is harder to see with a hole where the eyes were. I made a plugin and the head imports fine, other than a few clipping issues I need to adjust. What I can't figure out though is just this new head will constantly cycle through the eyyes/mouth animations as if I was previewing in blender, rather than blinking/opening the mouth at appropriate times. The mouth will open then chomp closed on a 10ish second cycle along with the "blinking". Do you know of any settings I could be missing here?
Starwind is awesome. How do you edit armor skin meshes with blender? I can't figure out the cuirass and gauntlets. The cuirass and gauntlets are all in one mesh and objects get added or removed depending on what you are wearing in-game. Any mesh I add is not showing in-game. I think it's because the game removes it because it doesn't recognise it as part of the cuirass or gauntlets. Could you do a video showing how to group them?
Nevermind. I figured out that there was an empty block called " chest" where all the chest meshes had to be and two other empty blocks called "left hand" and "right hand". It was as simple as dragging and dropping.
@@SaintIgnatious I saw the Starwind stuff, it was looking like some laser guns are crossbows with the blasts being bolts? I had the idea to try and make a hand phaser mod for morrowind, based on the mark2 phasers from star trek, so far I've been coming to the conclusion that a continuous beam might not be something I could do, and maybe making a modded spell might be better, but I still don't know yet.
Hey me and my friend really love Morrowind and modding and we are trying to make a mod together but we really suck at making meshes and textures. I was wondering if you would like to make some creatures in mind for us?
I have been searching for these kinds of tutorials for creating custom models for morrowind for years! I really hope you will make more.
I will. This one was on a whim to cover some stuff for someone who was asking about it, but I will actually plan one and cover things more in depth in another video.
@@SaintIgnatious that would be great dude :)

this is such a lifesaver thank you so much
Thank you for including info on how to make parts of the model glow! Great tutorial overall.

Amazing tutorial, thanks a lot!

Will everything that you showed on a Morrowind pirate work not in Steam?

I have another video on creating races. It’s the exact same process for armors.
thanks i will make staff
this is very cool, but now I'm wondering how best to categorize a laser gun into Morrowind.
😅 You should look through my videos.
