Yeah...when there is a war: men are forced to fight in war, women are forced to stay home to raise and protect whichever kids she has...it isn't about anti-women it is about no civilian has a choice when the country is under attack. We are just so used to women having choices and men not having choices that it feels like unjust oppression of women to disrupt their life. Who cares about men - they never get to choose. Women only want their money, not their parenting skills. Don't see many women opting for the breadwinner role after childbirth.

Russia will end up like Romania under Ceausescu, with orphanages full of neglected, unloved, unhappy and under-developed children, only worse because Russia is a much bigger country, so there would be far more of them. Half the states of USA, too. I was born in Romania in 1981 and part of the unwanted "decretei" generation (named after the decree banning AB and contraception) and I was lucky to be wanted, but most of my peers weren't and it was awful for them. Unwilling parents are negligent, at best, and full on abusive, at worst. Us Milenial and gen X decretei still have the trauma of communism so many years later! Ppl who hate children will still use contraception cause contraception stays legal. It seems more about ppl which are uncertain about kids, the Putin administration has the view that ppl wouldn't have kids bc of propaganda instead that they are poor and have miserable lifes. Yes what should I say to that Lunacy? If they really want more kids how it would be with higher wages and better wealth distribution? But that's unthinkable in oligarchy Russia.

The same happened with a few of my friends... They were adopted from Romanian orphanages and they still have problems with being so malnourished and neglected as babies.
They have health problems connected to malnutrition, learning difficulties and sensory issues, as well as some social difficulties.
It's sad that they are still suffering because of neglect they suffered back in Romania.
The effects of infant neglect follow them through their entire life. Unwanted kids have to work hard just to repair the damage caused by their childhoods. We don't need to go backwards.

Indeed. My country Croatia for example has these benefits.
In Croatia, families with three or more children can access various government benefits and incentives, aimed at supporting large families. These benefits may include:
      1. Child Allowance (Doplatak za Djecu):
A monthly financial support for families with children, available to those with a lower income. The amount increases based on the number of children in the family, with larger families typically receiving more support.
      2. Parental Leave:
Parents of multiple children are entitled to parental leave. After maternity leave (usually 6 months), parents can take additional parental leave, which is paid and can last up to 30 months for the third and subsequent children.
      3. Tax Relief:
Families with three or more children can benefit from increased tax deductions. The Croatian tax system offers relief based on the number of dependents, which reduces the amount of taxable income.
      4. Housing Support:
Some local governments offer housing benefits, including priority in the allocation of social housing or financial assistance for larger families to improve or purchase homes.
      5. Discounted or Free Kindergarten and Schooling:
Larger families often receive discounts or exemptions for kindergarten fees and sometimes for school-related expenses (e.g., textbooks, transportation).
      6. Subsidies for Utilities:
Some municipalities offer subsidies for utilities like electricity or water to families with multiple children, depending on income levels.
      7. Healthcare Benefits:
Children in large families are generally entitled to free or reduced-cost healthcare, including dental and vision care.
      8. Public Transportation Discounts:
Families with three or more children may receive discounts or free passes for public transportation, particularly for schoolchildren.
Eligibility for these benefits often depends on income levels, location, and other factors, so families should check with local authorities for specific programs available in their area.
This is copied from ChatGpt ,but its true since i live in family of six. We have free education, lesser taxes, free public transport, free meals at school.

It's crazy how so many countries (Russia on the extreme end, but in Canada we have a birth rate of 1.26 now so it's becoming an "issue" too) are trying to promote women having children by just....telling them to? Like no proper financial safety net, no social incentive when mothers are extremely underappreciated in society just.... "HAVE MORE BABIES! NOW! SELFISH WOMEN!" I've wanted kids my whole life and would probably start having them soon if I could since I'm 23, married, and just finished college and got a job in my career, but me and my partner literally live with THREE roommates in a rental house and are unlikely to be able to comfortably afford a house until maybe our 30s, if ever. At that point I'll likely just have one child since I want a few years to recover in between them and I can't see myself being able to afford more and give them all good lives, and since the amount of stress I see mothers under trying to manage 2, 3, 4 kids is just not worth it at all, again, even as someone who has always wanted multiple kids. If we TRULY want people to have big families we have to literally restructure our society, because as it stands it's just a bad deal.

Repairs are everywhere, roads. The state budget. And the question is either to do everything for a fee. Because the economic situation has changed. Or we need more people to replenish the budget. If you do everything for a fee, the unprotected segments of the population will find themselves without help. Then the way out is to make a tax on mediocrity. Like you pay an additional 13% to the treasury and please don't give birth. It's good to criticize. But our economists are not stupid. they are looking for ways to replenish the budget. many people are hiding from taxes. They work but without official employment. And such a person. Because of the ban on abortion and because of the ''huge advantages'' the state was going to give you for having kids, lots of them were dropped in orphanages where they were not taken care off, most of the time they were abused by the system by being unwanted and unloved. After the 90`s we saw these abandoned children and it was horrible, lots of them were underdeveloped and lots of them were so skinny that u could almost see their bones. To this day my country has a post-trauma abt this and because of our corrupt gouvernement the abuse still continues to this day in most of the orphanages, a lots of kids run from the orphanages because of the horrible living standards and are being victims to human trafficking sadly.

    Touching upon “16 and Pregnant”
The last episode before the reboot portrayed a 14 (!!!) yo girl and this episode was really tough because she gave birth to a child who had her intestine out of her stomach and her scapulae were missing. The horrors didn’t end up with the episode because later the baby’s young father abandoned his gf, and the baby’s grandma refused them the operation that could have made the baby’s life at least a little less miserable. Later this woman was taken her child custody because she beat her children, including the 14yo girl that gave birth and her younger brother
This episode was so unadvertising, but then they have changed the label and now it’s all just ✨sparkles✨

But our government is also pushing this ideology of having tons of kids, mostly due to the lage huge number of young people leaving Hungary...and many of those who stay choose not to have kids in such dire conditions. And Orbán also loves the idea of traditional family values, meanwhile, orphanages are full of children who will never be adopted and are destined for a tough life...protecting children my ass

Free colleges for percussionists and honors students. Free institutes for excellent students. The state provides police, medicine, teachers, educators. The Pension fund. Tax. Does not pay taxes. But at the same time, when he is ill, he goes to the doctor. And we have it for free. He uses everything and doesn't pay for anything.

Russian "traditional values" are nothing more than a Potemkin village. I found it ironic that it was the Soviet Union who emancipated Russian women. When Russia do their Victory Day parade or capture a Ukrainian village, they fly the Soviet flag. Yet it is the Soviet Union that made women do "men's work" like working in factories.

The Soviets did have a genuine ideology. It was an evil and awful one that didn’t work at all, but at least it was real.
The Putin regime has no real ideology or beliefs. Russian soldiers in Ukraine display Soviet and Tsarist flags right next to each other.
If the Bolsheviks could see it, they’d be infuriated.

You may have heard of it: we had a government in the 1930s to 1940s that wanted children so much that it presented mothers with cross-shaped orders in bronze, silver and gold for four, six and eight children respectively. They also started a Special Military Operation and my father as the youngest of six children was only two years old when that Operation ended with the destruction of half of Europe.
