  • Hey everyone! As always, if you want the .blend file for the effect you can get it on my Gumroad here: windmiller.gum...
    The version on Gumroad also includes the ability to add sprinkles and has a slightly more cleaned up interface.
    Hope you're all doing well and happy Blending : )

    Hey everyone! I just realized a quick trick to make this more performant. If you add in a math node set to "divide" and set the top value to 40,000 and plug the "amount" value from your group input into the bottom slot you can use the math node's output as the density value on your "distribute points on faces" node.
    This makes the effect work much better at very large and small "amount" values, though you should also set the minimum value for your amount input to 1 so you don't accidentally set your point density too high.
    Hope this helps!

      Great video, my viewport in lagging, what GPU, CPU, RAM you are running?

    It's nice to see more geometry nodes content! Keep up the good work!

    Cool hope for more procedural materials. I am personally interested in materials that can be combined, as well as materials transformation of one object into another. Thanks for your videos

    Dear author, is it possible to use weight paint via dynamic paint to control where to be covered with coating?

    bro How to do it in practice for chrome type like text, I'm a little confused, this chrome type animation uses liquid geometry nodes

    How do you change the colour of the coating?

    Hey! I wanted to use this tutorial to make my own geometry nodes for this effect, but I noticed that it turns the original material of the mesh to black if it uses an image texture. Any clue as to why this is?

    question: why not use geometry proximity instead of the distance calculation at the start? Is it less efficient? Does it takes more ressources?

    • @AlaskanFX
      @AlaskanFX  ปีที่แล้ว

      The distance setup was just a bit simpler and easier to implement. Probably doesn’t make a difference in terms of computer efficiency but it was more efficient in terms of nodes

      Lol, this actually would 100% make a good nanotech effect!

    I need to learn more about why each math node is being used where and when it is. You don't explain it and maybe you don't need to. I will return. (Subscribed)

    Voiceover music. Evil and harm. For me, let the announcer be cold and wheezing, but he tells the lesson. I can just listen to music.
