  • Longboard Builder, and DH Rider DIMM, takes Other Planet Longboards for a spin, and gives us a nice review on them.
    Dimm is cool guy, and doesn't afraid of anything.
    Other Planet Trucks are designed to be inherently stable, in order to make longboards safer, and to combat problems such as speed wobble. They are supposed to be carving/freeride trucks, that give you lots of ability to turn, while still being able to tackle big hills.

    @ramowas 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    to you: get some help in getting them into full production. i think they seem very sellable. just 1 tip though IMO, they could be made to fit any board already in production. just my 2 cents. ;) ty good day.

    I went to your website to see how much your trucks go for and your site has links to take you to other sites to purchase skateboarding items.

      Was it Otherplanetskate dot com?
      The current truck are $50 each, or $100 a pair. Pretty much, a little more than double the cost of what a standard set of trucks would be.

    when will these be on sale at my nearest skate shop???

    • @LongboardTechnology
      @LongboardTechnology  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They're on sale, but skate shops aren't interested in them at the moment. ( No demand, + various other reasons )
      The version for sale is a lot more refined than the version in this video.

    how stabe are these at really high speeds? could the be used fo speedboarding?

  • @WZvid
    @WZvid 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do these trucks prevent/reduce speed wobble?

    • @LongboardTechnology
      @LongboardTechnology  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes they do, they are extremely stable, but that isn't what they're for.
      Keep in mind that its better to prevent speed wobble with correct form, and strong ankles than by jumping to different equipment.

      He clearly stated that you don't even need the o-rings.

    • @LongboardTechnology
      @LongboardTechnology  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be fair, being able to ride without them, and suddenly transitioning to not having them are not the same thing.
      I mean, I could make a car the could drive on the ground, or fly in the air. That doesn't mean you'll be ok if the wings fall off.

      you could replace the rings with steelsprings, (push or pull types)
      steel springs dont break so easy as nitril rubber does.

      Original trucks absolutely do not perform better.
      I'm actually hoping to release a video on Original Trucks this weekend.

      Longboard Technology never had problems with mine. love the feel of them and the s8 I have are great for downhill

    • @LongboardTechnology
      @LongboardTechnology  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, they're actually quite good at a number of things... But they miss the mark in a number of places, Mostly I think, as a result of them being designed for scooters, and being copied and pasted onto longboards, without making a single change to the design, or even seemingly considering the implications of going from one application, to the other.

    • @mikesterr7488
      @mikesterr7488 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      well for scooter trucks which I have never heard of they preform very well. like I said had em for over a year no problems, no cracked cams and I use it for transport daily. not sure how id install them on my scooter.

    • @LongboardTechnology
      @LongboardTechnology  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its been a long time since they were scooter trucks. Look up the K2 Kickboard.
      They were actually invented by a German Industrial Designer specifically for K2, And the design really has huge unmet potential.
