- Age is only a number, fear is only relative. Victor Earhart is a shining example of living life to the fullest and neither age nor fear will stop him. 61 years of skateboarding and counting...
*Disclaimer* - Just because Victor doesn't wear safety gear doesn't mean you shouldn't! Skate safe!! - กีฬา
I am old like Victor and just bought a Sector 9 Longboard for myself for my 68th birthday. Thanks Victor!
I bought a Sector 9 for my 46th (7 yrs ago) my kids were too young to have any idea of the ramps, pools & parks I used to skate 30 years before. Took them a few days to see that I wasn't nuts! Still riding it. Taking it to San Diego again next month.
keep skating and congrats for the new setup
Too bad he passed away recently...
carlitos skull yes
Hunter deja irony
whole new meaning behind "santa cruz"
bruh this is so well made joke
Yeah i wish i could like it twice. 2nd time for when the Cruz hit me
Had me cracking up
Rest in power, Victor :'(
This awesome guy died? oh no.
Ya, he died at the age of 70. In a motorcycle accident on nov 28.
RIP Victor. Respect for living life to the fullest. If you like it, try it. Age must not be a factor. People say to me too i will break something for starting longboarding at 48, but i love it!
Jeannet van der Deijl You'll love it, the wind against your hair and everything, just get good bearings to really cruise non stop. I recommend bones reds bearings.
Died too young. Rip vic
he is... the most interesting man in the world.
XX
"Where do you go, my sweet grandpa?"
"bombing downhill dude. see ya!"
:-)
I keep watching this in awe. He personifies "age is just a number & old is an attitude". He is so smooth applying his technique to downhill. RIP to a good example of ageing disgracefully - old guys rock!!
Victor is such a great insparation to someone like me who started skating at forty.
RIP Vic, my inspiration, I'm 45 on a 45" longboard from Sector 9, my daily transportation!!
You'll be missed my man
respect to the camera dude.
im about to say the same thing too..
+Some Lad didn't even think about the camera guy- good call though.
Why respect?
Mason LeVasseur he was matching the same course and filming at the same time
Because he got the goods, with style. :)
No helmet, still respect
Karel Doedens I got to admit. At that age, I wouldn't wear a helmet either. I would wear a bandanna that says "Adrenaline Grandpa".
+Schmidty030
Skin grows back :)
@@piewolfe brain cells don't
Now this is what you call a die hard, respect for the oldtimer.
Gotta love watching Victor! He's always got a smile on his face.
You'll be missed Victor!
I am 34 years old at the time of writing this and I have a longboarding for about 10 years, I have to be this dude someday. Got to do what you enjoy.
Gosh, I love this. RIP Victor. You amaze me.
what are you gonna look like when your old with all those tattoos? idk mom probably like this guy
Truly inspirational, I bought a sector 9 longboard at age 50, I had never skated before, I thought it might help my surfing which I started at age 48. Apart from discovering asphalt and concrete are much harder than our local shore break. I also discovered that I have no idea how to stop, which really made me, much more focused the first time I went down hill. I need to clear the driveway and dust off the board again, it really did help my surfing which has gone backwards since the board started gathering dust
Same here, keeping low like Victor means putting a slide glove out to slow you down keeps things in check. He's a Hero.
There are longboard brakes now
Victor... you are a inspiration to us all.
Rest easy my friend. The community will miss you
Rest in peace Victor..an inspiration to so many people.
It is a blessing to see the birth of skateboarding and it's progression throughout time.
The first episode of the A-team shows B.A. making a skateboard out of a board and an old broken skate.
Great respect to Victor!
You are never to old. Top man. Much respect.
if he doesn't fear death that should be even more respect
You're a fucking idiot
My one question is..How can you not like this? Rest Easy Vic
He's still skating in the afterlife :D
-Austen
Honest Signalz yet your pfp is an ape
Yeahhh
Respect for him. I've gathered he's gone. I love seeing my elders illustrating how I should be living. Thank you brother. I will. R.I.P.
this is what a long board loves-any long-board dreams of finding a rider like this!!!-super RAD
Bombing endless hills in heaven
I want to be like him when I’m older
I have a 23-year-old board that I bought in Imperial Beach California when we went there on vacation, I still have it and a occasionally ride it the summer months here but mostly it's used to hold a sound bar for my TV. I often look at it and remember the great Summers I had in California with my family.
This is so great man! I started two years ago with 55 years with a Carver board and now I make my own decks with epoxy and you show in your video where I have to go for! Thanks!
Show us!
@@francescogendrinable you can see it in thomasalemania
Excellent capture of this run! His stance was so relaxed!
You're never too old. Guy gives 33y/o's like me hope!
"Where are you going grandpa victor?"
*"Im going to bomb some downhills in heaven dude. See ya!"*
RIP
You show me what I want when I get old. Respect and forever young!
Props man, I'm 58 and you are my inspiration. I'm never giving up longboards. I started at 8 and 50 straight years this year.
I'm 59 and ride a landyachtz Evo spectrum, a dinghy blunt, a sector nine mini cruiser and a Kevin Harris Powell Peralta freestyle board.
10 more years and I will be the same age and I am sticking to my Landyachtz
Doesn't matter as long as you love and respect the sport
Love this song by Wayne Williams. I'll bet Victor took his longboard with him and is teaching the Big Man above some cool moves.
I wont to get old like him
Skate or die!
+ono fakeono Skate til you die is preferred lol
Victor, laying down some smooth turns at speed. Nice. :)
Please, Sector 9 give us the spec of Victor's board, I want those low trucks in my life...
Martin Pope I swear that said “beard” first time I read it 🥳 I’ll just stay here entertaining myself for a minute...
Death can never take a good man away, for in the hearts of the people he inspired, the legacy remains and continuous throughout generations
Whoever filmed this did an amazing job
Ride in peace...
Can't be a sin to bring joy to so many lives. Ride those clouds in heaven my dude. Rip
Such pure boarding he makes it almost zen like
RIP Victor Earha you are was the best of us!
That's wonderful!! Good luck, and safe riding Vic! Wish you all the best!
I am 50 and just picked up a 36" x 9 deck from Skate Shred. Totally huge 90mm wheels as well in order to try just going down the street again. It's not fun getting fat staring at the TV or computer!
Wish I heard about him sooner… just got recommended this.
That old guy is awesome! He rock's
RIP Victor!
he died?
This is wholesome as hell and keep thrashing Victor
When your grandpa says he wants to learn long boarding
Love this Cat!!
Yea Victor!!!! You're inspiring me to keep shredding dude!
Wen i be old i desire to do something like that, congrats Victor!
this video was a masterpiece
Another hero discovered on TH-cam. 🔥 🔥 🔥
And I (40) thought I was too old for that. This guy has balls!
eventhough youre gone your image will continue to inspire, Rip Victor !
RIP legend.
so this is what Santa Claus does when he's not giving out presents 😂😘 I love you Santa 🎅
He will live forever
livng the life is TO BE TRULY HAPPY
Hell yeah! Victor finally rocking a proper pair of skate shoes. DVS T Pud's. They're nice Victor.
Rest in Peace my friend.
Bought myself a longboard for my 53rd B-day. An Atom drop-deck, and I love it! Also put Bones 'Reds' in the wheels. Last board I bought new was 40 years old----a 'GT Coyote'. (Ask your grandpa about those!! :D) I also bought my first pieces of safety equipment, although we bombed plenty of hills in my day with none, but it probably takes longer to recover from any crashes once you pass 50 (or even 40, for some people)
Rocking the Herschel beard. Mad respect.
RIP VIC. Hella of ride bro
Great video!
I'm 57 and go cruisin' downhills in CT on a sector 9 several times/week .
Looking for somebody who is up for joining me on pristine roads. Must know how to drive.

THATS AWSOME
Downhill with no helmet at that age. Wow! Respect! 👍
I hope i could be as cool as Victor when i get old :)
This guy's a badass
Regal. You kick ass Victor!!
Rest in peace dear sir
I love this.
I live 15 minutes from this hill haha, whish I new the S9 dudes were out there!. Also, to those complaining, this is not a fast run. From the place hes starting, its 25 max. Its just a chill, mellow hill.
Where is this? Looks familiar.
Looks like somewhere near Santa Ynez area... Happy Canyon Road?.
Nope, not Colorado haha
xTAYLORSWIFTx Please tell me where this is! i need some beginner hills like this
Thank you for explaining that. Propel freaking out about helmets. He's chillin, low as hell to the ground so he's extremely balanced, and he's not going that fast. People need to call down. Sure it's good to wear helmets. Especially if you're young. It's a good habit to start. But the guy knows what he's doing and isn't going 50mph or something. And it's a smooth terrain. He's good to go. If he falls on this road he shouldn't be skating. And yes I know anything can happen. Just saying people need to relax sometimes. He having a good time. It's a free country. Let him do his thing.
+Michael Pecikonis *calm not call.
Shred in Peace Victor, we'll see you at the great big skatepark in the sky
Tengo tan solo 30 años pana victor y quisiera ser tan joven como tu.
seriously, what friggin trucks are those?
I have no idea but I wish I had a pair!
b goods probably sector nine sidewinders or something from the downhill division
Since Victor worked for Sector 9, they're most likely Gullwing Chargers (10 inch), S9s go-to downhill set-up. (Btw, Sidewinders are made for maneuverability, and would be pretty unstable at these speeds
BUEN VIAJE MAESTRO VICTOR EAR HEAR
