The manufacturer in question at 4:14 looks to be Dahl. Green and orange are the colors from BL3 unless my screen is throwing the colors off. Looks like a new type of weapon though with some kind of crystal powering it, maybe an AR with special abilities.

@casperbenavidez don't think so, and doesn't make sense given the overall negativity the manufacturer received in BL3. Dahl has been a favorite because of the premium on accuracy. It would be cool if instead of anointments weapons could roll with a crystal mounting slot part that you could place different crystals in depending on the situation.
There also appears to be a cap on the butt of the rifle and a hose coming out. So maybe there is a fuel tank and it supplies fuel to the crystal that produces a reaction in the gun causing the discharge we see from the "barrel" or more like an energy nexus point than a barrel really.
I think the larger gun at around 2:00 is Atlas. Kind of has the BL3 AR styling to me. Plus we kinda help get Rhys and Atlas going and out of the battle with Maliwan in 3 so maybe he got the company in the green again 🤔

My thoughts too. Would be interesting to see melee being tied to a specific manufactorer and not be a weapon part. I feel it would add more customization options to melee weapons.
@@ncdozer3103 this is so not true and literally just hating. Atlas and COV in BL3 are completely new weapons even if both appeared in older games. Both have new gimmicks so everything apart from the name is new. Also BL3 literally gave each manufacturer one additional gimmick.

Since the Manufacturers are interstellar companies except for Bandits/CoV and maybe Torgue this makes no sense. And I really hope they tone down the light and glow effects.
I feel like I haven't heard anybody talk about the ripper clan a whole lot. One of the first things claptrap tells the player in bl2 is that captain flynt is from the ripper clan, and I haven't really heard anybody talk about that connection at all yet. What's your thoughts on it joltz?
I'm guessing it's the living legacy of the clan. Some speculate Zane could be playing a part in the clan since he was Captain Flynt's brother. Hard to say.
Since Kairos has been hidden for apparently a really long time (there's not even a single mention about it in any of previous games and between BL1 and BL3 already passed out around 12 years), I really doubt we have ever seen any characters directly related to them. Beyond that, "Rippers" is kinda like a common name for a bandit clan on a bloodthirsty place like Pandora, although we never actually saw one
Most of the bandits appear to be sewn together from different parts. Like they were ripped apart and then put back together from different bodies. Most have massive scars on their bodies. Like they were assembled to make an army by the leader with the big mechanical arms. She appears to be assembled as well. Perhaps Zane is connected in assembling the army to fight the Timekeeper. It would be interesting if the Timekeeper was so threatening that he and Lilith were willing to make a bandit army to fight him which apparently is totally destroyed based on the final shot of the trailer with the Timekeeper in front of the vault.
That is a good prediction. It's quite different from what they look like in BL3 and doesn't follow the camo look of BL2. If they are using a legendary in that scene, the skin could literally be anything.
I agree with the Dahl guess it has the same thin build you see with a lot of bl3 Dahl weapons and the cagey looking fore grip reminds me a lot of bl2 and bl3 Dahl mags, my best guess is this is meant to be a purple with either an etech thing going on or some new variant of etech
My running theory is that the gun from 4:30 is not Ripper manufacturer, but Order, from the Timekeeper clan, based on the gun's crystal core sharing similarities with a room in the BL4 trailer at 1:11 that has a similar crystal thing, in a order-ly designed room. That being the case, it might be a big mags type make, or a military, low gimmick strong manufactor like Dahl.

It has similar look to the COV gun weapons but since we know the COV are done for and in each borderlands there is a brand of gear based on a type of enemy in all but the first game. Pre-Sequel. brand = SCAV BL2. brand = Bandit BL3. brand = COV BL4. brand = ??? It doesn't look like a brand we've seen but neither did the COV branded weapons when we had our first look at them. 4:25
I feel like now one is talking about this, but the new "bandits" are called Rippers and in bl2 Capt. Flints bandit clan is called the Ripper clan, which could be why Zane is returning. This is pure speculation, but i think Zane will try and either take control of the clan or be high-ranking in clan being a Flint relitive.
For That yellow gun with the power core, you can see at least 2 other power cores like that in the background throughout the trailer, all of which seem to be on the new planet so it’s possible it’s a new manufacturer, or could be Bandit depending on the story of the bandits and the new planet.
The yellow gun around 4:30 to me looks like a Dahl laser. I think with elpis crashing lasers make sense. Also will scav comeback as the bandit replacement. We went SS, Bandit, Scav then COE. So maybe it will be new for the new psychos or go back to scav from the moon
@Joltzdude139 that's an interesting idea, like the time keepers brand. One thing that bugged me about lasers in TPS is they made different lasers to be like other guns, rail guns were laser snipers for example but didn't get sniper perks, so more limited on Aurelia. So if we got a laser brand that wouldn't be the case. Since atlus was pretty boring in bl3 maybe you just replace atlus with Time keeper lasers.
4:30 might be the new design for eridian. Bl2 had the barrels alien-like with the rest of the gun maintaining a more “manufacturer-like” look to them. Maybe they decided to have eridian weapons fully embrace the alien look. It’s also possible to be a new weapon type or a laser from the pre sequal but fire in bursts like fusion rifles in destiny. Anything’s possible.
1:20 i disagree, maliwan and hyperion have somewhat similar styles but theyre very distinct from eachother in that hyperion have much more jagged shapes and sharp edges and maliwan are smooth and rounded.
Honestly I think the visual design of the guns took a big downturn after bl2/TPS. Wonderlands was cool with the fantasy element, but 3 and now 4 look too future-y and like they lack the personality they used to have
4:40 I have a feeling this is going to be the new eridians or etech weapons rather than cov/bandit. The thing with bandit weapons is that they're rusted out and made out of scrap metal, something you would see in a mad max movie or in the hands of junkrat (rip ow2), this weapon in question looks way more tech advanced than that. I know the bandits are now enhanced with cybernetics but and that could've extended to their arsenal but I dont see it happening on this example.
2:04 looks like either hyperion or atlas. I feel its more on the atlas side a little, mostly due to the things under the barrel, which could be tracker darts (maybe?). And the one you said could be the new ripper manufacturer really reminds me of Dahl weapons. Maybe a unique Dahl?
I would like to see one of two rebrand options: (1) the Rippers have a manufacturer called the Ripoffs and they showcase other gun skins with large mags, or (2) an NPC allows to you to partner in a start up manufacturer where you type your name into half of the companies name. So, like, "[Static Name] & [Your Entry]." You would be responsible for funding it of course, and eventually see your companies name show up in certain loot pools occasionally.
I think a decent gimmick for a Large Mags(/Kairosian/Ripper) manufacturer would be restoring some ammo to the mag on melee hits. Could work with a Facepuncher variant where it only has one in the chamber but landing the hit restores it. Then you'd have almost this Doom Eternal like gameplay loop of shooting out then going in close to restore ammo with melee.
I think it'd be pretty neat to bring in Polaris, a gun manufacturer from the cancelled Borderlands Online. Maybe make it focus on lasers or something new. Or have it be another elemental-focused manufacturer who comes to power after Maliwan took a drubbing in 3.
4:20 the shape and definitely the colour scheme made me think Dahl with The Blanc, Nemesis and Barrage having the closest in colour and Breath of the Dying/Creeping Corruption sharing similarities in shaping
wish they redesigned the maliwan weapons, hated how bulky they were in BL3 and seems like 4 follows the same style :/ A jump in style, just like how the style changed between 2 and 3, would have been nice.
4:14 probably a unique tediore. It has a boxy design and the bottom piece with the triangular braces is pretty similar to what some tediore shotguns have in Borderlands 3, like the polybius or the flama diddle.
Love the videos you make and the effort you put into your content! I've watched almost all of your series over the past couple years and every time it always makes me want to play Borderlands. I'd love to see more Bl1 content but I understand it's not as popular, regardless of what game you play I'll watch
maybe the gun from 4:14 is a new E-Tech type of weapon. Standard body of a gun but with a unique barrel for the weapon. It has an animated energy core looking thing in the center of it that most likely correlates to the projectile its firing.
You were focused on the Rippers, i was focusing on the other side... Gut feeling? The manufacturer is Eridian... I mean, if you think about it, compare the Eridian techs, and the weapons look outerworldy...
That gun that girl was firing maybe the new eridian weaponry from the time keeper maybe. We don't know if eridian weapons exist in this game yet so it's just a hunch but, we haven't seen eridian weapons since borderlands 1/alien barrel guns in borderlands 3.
The gun exploding in your hand can work. Have it be like the barrel or just front half of the weapon explodes and throws shrapnel. The reload animation can just be replacing the entire barrel. Thats also how you can write off the no-self damage part.
I think the new big mag gimmick would be like a bottomless regenerating magazine like a battery mag, I feel like that fits that weapons look well with that energy core magazine
the gun at 4:30 seems to use some kind of energy core or something. maybe its not a ripper weapon, but the faction the timekeeper is apart of. maybe like how Eridian weapons were in the first game, where they had infinite ammo, but tied to a battery/energy mechanic.
I've noticed some enemies in the trailer wearing shields with a small, almost like radioactive symbol on them - which I believe is the Ripper manufacturer logo. It'd be quite a twist as bandit/cov etc have only ever made guns - maybe for B4, they just make grenades and shields - hence why we're not seeing them hold guns in the trailer...maybe the lower tier Ripper enemies only use melee items as weapons.
8:20 "ripper" >ripper can refer to chop-shop's and people who rip apart tech, which in return means that the RIPPER faction guns could be frankenstein guns, mali-torgue, maliwan with torgue passives such as explosive maliwan guns, with elemental damage.
What would be cool is to go with the ripper aesthetic and add a new loot type/inventory slot for cybernetics. Let you alter your character passively with cybernetics you find from your enemies, but only 1 at a time (perhaps like how the O2 kit replaced the relic)
What if the ripper manufacturer gimmick could be that they use like a core that uses charge and could be unstable making them unpredictable, like it could suddenly sort of "surge" with like an effect based on the gun type or maybe the core could be shot like a grenade, that or maybe that gun could be energy based like when we had lasers in the pre sequel
It'd be neat if they brought back the "Shoot forever, but the gun overheats" thing, but the variant this time is more heat = more damage so you're constantly threading the needle of heat high enough for big damage, but low enough to prevent breakage.
it’s crazy to see how we went from almost everything being revolver type/pump action weapons in bl1 to now every manufacturer having a recognizable style and gimmick. it’s cool but at the same time makes me miss the old style from 1 & 2
Considering the spinning cube thing in the middle of the gun, it could be the made by Timekeeper or his faction? Maybe with a gimmick of using a portal as a magazine so you never need to reload, gameplay wise translating into a chance of missed shots returning to your stockpile? Having the big mag manufacturer be the high tech enemy instead of the bandits would be a break from how it was before, and maybe these could be more fantastical instead of the established type of sci-fi as a way to differentiate it from Maliwan/Hyperion/Atlas.
What if the "Bandit" manufacturer had a pool of traits to pull from, but didn't do them as well as the parent company. Example, Bandit gun that has a Hyperion part that generates the forward facing shield but only for 10% of the original gun. Give these weapon the ability to also roll a number of perks, so white rareity can have 1-2, green 1-3, blue 2-3, purple 2-4, and legendary 3-5. So having a white tier gun that had a forward facing shield but when it was out of ammo your could chuck reload it for 1/3 the normal damage a full version Tedior would do. and it could only chuck when it's empty. To me this would truly make the guns feel like they were made from scrap parts. Yea they can do multiple things, but none of them as well as their parent company's gear.
Going with the ripper theme it would be cool if the gun has a melee gimmick built in like it overheats and then you go into a melee mode for a few seconds
For the main gun this video is about since it's black and yellow mainly it'd be cool if it was just SnS Munitions making their return after so long. Also for the one at 2:11 since it's whites, blacks, and reds with an exaggerated under barrel part it could be Atlas with the bottom part shooting out the tracker equivalent. Under part of the weapon at the end also has black and red though for an underbarrel so who knows.
You mentioned the ripper clan potentially having guns which makes sense, but we also do have another new faction against us. Keep in mind The order has been hidden on this planet for years and seem to be very advanced in tech. So its not unlikely that they would also be producing their own weaponry. Perhaps some of these guns we see that are very 'pointy' like the sniper looking one in the Sirens hands could be that? The structures they create match the same pointy design.
I think The rippers manufacturer could be fully melee weapons and projectiles in trailer are just reflected (like chance to reflect projectiles while holding a melee weapon).
If they keep the overheat mechanic for the big mag manufacturer, I think the best idea to change it would be to have the gun “cook-off” when you over heat it. For those who don’t know when a gun cooks-off irl, the barrel gets so hot that it literally fires continuously until all the ammo is expended. Sounds like the perfect way to implement a draw-back and a buff to the overheat mechanic, having your gun cook-off during a boss fight would be good, but if you overheat your gun on a few skags you just lost a whole clip.
I think the 4:14 weapon could be manufactured by the timekeeper's army. It would makes sense for the other major enemy of the game to also have their own weapons, and you can see in the trailer one of them shooting yellow prism like energy bolts that are similar to the yellow on the gun. Either the timekeepers army or is related to the woman with white and gold clothes if she isn't with the timekeeper.
Weapon at 1:06 is maybe a new manufacturer - has the same vibe of the geometric/organic mixed look of the timekeeper's faction. If you go to the first look trailer @ 0:46 the tanky animal guys on the left and right side have similar design features to me
i think a cool legendary gimmick could be when you shoot the gun plays a song and depending on what part of the song you are on it could give different buffs debuffs and just general differences plus they could make this be a thing on each weapon type and each type has a different song
At 2:20 I'm wondering if that might even be atlas? There is a tiny hole underneath what is most assuredly the main barrel. Atlas weapons like to do the tracker dart thing from bl3 so firing it from tiny hole would make sense. It could also just an alternate firing mode of the weapon.
judging by the way the vh holds the weapon in bl4 at 130, it could be a Legendary Hyperion due to the design, but my guess would for the name be something like "Prasma Rifle" with the red text of "Wort Wort Wort" since it's shape does give off a reference to the Halo series.
We need to remember that Kairos supposedly has been cut off from the galaxy pandora and the others until it was crashed into by Elpis. They could've had their own manufacturer we haven't seen yet. That replaces the "bandit" manufacturer somehow
Weapon at 0:39 seems to be the same as the weapon from 2:12 just from a different angle. So both are probably a maliwan sniper. Weapon from 1 minute in could be a Time keeper manufactured weapon or maybe an alien/vault guardian weapon as it follows their architecture. 3:33 looks like a pistol with a long barrel. 4:05 looks like an atlas rifle 4:16 probably a ripper weapon. It has the same yellow color that projectiles had during the clash between the two armies.
I think for the ripper gimmick it'd be interesting if it had a meter much like the COV guns, but instead of the gun just exploding, if you stop firing at the right point, like a certain section of the meter, it releases an elemental plume or cone outward like an exhaust discharge. If you do hold it for too long you risk the gun exploding in a small nova of that element around you, also damaging you a decent amount. It could be fun doing kamikaze builds where you gather enemies up and let the gun explode.
Most of the guns seem like they were a collab between two manufacturers. Maybe they'll do something like that were you can even roll a different manufacturer on the weapon or something similar, idk.
It's usually easier to identify weapons by parts, but going by skin patterns, there are some trends, though there are exceptions. Checkered: Torgue Honeycomb: Maliwan Camo: Dahl Wood grain: Jacobs Graffiti: Bandit/COV Gold leaf: Vladof Atlas, Hyperion, and Tediore don't have any that I could identify. Either they're unique to a specific weapon, so not a trend across the manufacturer, or they appear on weapons from different manufacturers, like stripes showing up on Atlas and Tediore.
4:33 that's Dahl, its using the old textures for a gun from borderlands 2 that was scrapped, Tho the colours have been messed around abit but it is dahl
Guns look super good imo. That gun that looks like a Hyperion shotgun looks like it’s got a special attachment or Vladof style second barrel laser beam.
For the Rippers itd be cool if u can split ur gun into 2 melee weapons or a large melee weapon as a secondary function. Would suit their seemingly melee/cqc focus.
I think it would be cool if the new weapon gimmick would be like the Guardian Angel Shotgun but reverse. The closer you are to the enemy the more damage you deal. Would be very cool in my eyes for a more aggressive playstyle
4:32 I think that, at least, the base of that weapon is Maliwan. There are some other Maliwan guns in bl3 that have an energy sphere as the mag, though the only one i can remember is a sniper, however this could have another manufacture's barrel on it, I definitely think its a unique, my guess is a blue/purple unique due to the effects, details and the special vibe it gives these are just my thoughts on it though, lmk what ya'll think about this.
I think bringing back any high-mag manufacturer would be great. But what I really want is for them to bring back weapons not normally made by certain manufacturers, like Torgue snipers, Jakobs SMGs, etc.
My guess is ammo work like COV. The gun has a energy orb spinning and it flash bright when the bullet is fired, maybe rail gun because the barrel look like it is made to accelerate stuff / space ship design. Other guess but the Eridian weapon are back, that thing look alien AND is super long, you can see the "Stock" behind the character, that isn't normal BL gun proportion
I think the ripper weapons will be charge one as we see a thingy rotates and charges up before firing so it could be like infinite ammo but you need to wait for it to charge up between every shot. And longer you charge it more damage it does
I'm almost sure that the gun at 2:10 is the same one as at 0:40. look at the under barrel red things, as well as the shape of the upper part. Edit: also behind the scope on the sides of the gun they both have those three circles on the bit that sticks out
i have a cool idea for the bandit weapons they have the overheat mechanic and they explode it damages the player but is unable to down them and the damage of the explosion is based off of how much health it takes away from the player, or maybe the explosion and gun both do more damage when at low health, id love to see something like that with the weapons themselves so kinda like urad but not a crappy anoint

About the highlighted gun; The green gave me some Dahl vibes. Shape might be more Tediore but I was thinking more about energy weapons because of the core. I did speculate about all new manufacturers because the planet has been hidden for so long or did the classic weapon manufacturers monetize the planet in less than 6 years.
Also, I actually think the part in around 4.30, that you say is a COV type , is actually a Tediore (possibly a shotgun). It's that rectangular barrel for me that does it. Shape of it is very Tediore like. The pink ball in the middle is potentially some new kind of element/material that makes the gun fire those orange laser type shots.
Just a random idea for the Ripper manufacturer effect. What about a gun with a large mag that reloads from a melee attack, the less ammo in the mag the more damage the melee deals.
Every Manufacturer should make every Weapon Type including Laser Weapons. (Bring back laser weapons!) Make Blues & Purples better again. Heck even greens. Low tier weapons sucked in 3. In 1 and 2 there tonnes of great weapons in all rarities you’d be happy to find.
I'm pretty sure the first two guns are Maliwan, it's the same design language. In fact, that 3rd gun looks like it might be the 1st gun, just from a different angle Yellow gun does look like Tediore, at least barrel and handguard. The core element certainly makes it unusual, could be an E-tech equivalent.
Don't know if they will but I did hate how in BL3 a lot of the manufacturers didn't have shields, or grenades, or even some gun types. I hope they give the companies more kinds of gear.
I didn't even think about the make shift guns being called ripper guns. That just sounds amazing. I imagine shooting sawblades at people like wonderlands. If the whole faction under that cyborg woman isn't called anything other than the rippers or ripper clan then I believe you are on the money with this one.

I feel like I haven't heard anybody talk about the ripper clan a whole lot. One of the first things claptrap tells the player in bl2 is that captain flynt is from the ripper clan, and I haven't really heard anybody talk about that connection at all yet. What's your thoughts on it joltz?
I'm guessing it's the living legacy of the clan. Some speculate Zane could be playing a part in the clan since he was Captain Flynt's brother. Hard to say.
Since Kairos has been hidden for apparently a really long time (there's not even a single mention about it in any of previous games and between BL1 and BL3 already passed out around 12 years), I really doubt we have ever seen any characters directly related to them. Beyond that, "Rippers" is kinda like a common name for a bandit clan on a bloodthirsty place like Pandora, although we never actually saw one

Most of the bandits appear to be sewn together from different parts. Like they were ripped apart and then put back together from different bodies. Most have massive scars on their bodies. Like they were assembled to make an army by the leader with the big mechanical arms. She appears to be assembled as well. Perhaps Zane is connected in assembling the army to fight the Timekeeper. It would be interesting if the Timekeeper was so threatening that he and Lilith were willing to make a bandit army to fight him which apparently is totally destroyed based on the final shot of the trailer with the Timekeeper in front of the vault.
Gun at 4:30 looks to me like dahl, think hornet skin. Could be with a new barrel type like bl2 etech bl3 alien barrel.
That is a good prediction. It's quite different from what they look like in BL3 and doesn't follow the camo look of BL2. If they are using a legendary in that scene, the skin could literally be anything.
I agree with the Dahl guess it has the same thin build you see with a lot of bl3 Dahl weapons and the cagey looking fore grip reminds me a lot of bl2 and bl3 Dahl mags, my best guess is this is meant to be a purple with either an etech thing going on or some new variant of etech

My running theory is that the gun from 4:30 is not Ripper manufacturer, but Order, from the Timekeeper clan, based on the gun's crystal core sharing similarities with a room in the BL4 trailer at 1:11 that has a similar crystal thing, in a order-ly designed room. That being the case, it might be a big mags type make, or a military, low gimmick strong manufactor like Dahl.

It has similar look to the COV gun weapons but since we know the COV are done for and in each borderlands there is a brand of gear based on a type of enemy in all but the first game.
Pre-Sequel. brand = SCAV
BL2. brand = Bandit
BL3. brand = COV

I feel like now one is talking about this, but the new "bandits" are called Rippers and in bl2 Capt. Flints bandit clan is called the Ripper clan, which could be why Zane is returning. This is pure speculation, but i think Zane will try and either take control of the clan or be high-ranking in clan being a Flint relitive.
For That yellow gun with the power core, you can see at least 2 other power cores like that in the background throughout the trailer, all of which seem to be on the new planet so it’s possible it’s a new manufacturer, or could be Bandit depending on the story of the bandits and the new planet.

The yellow gun around 4:30 to me looks like a Dahl laser. I think with elpis crashing lasers make sense. Also will scav comeback as the bandit replacement. We went SS, Bandit, Scav then COE. So maybe it will be new for the new psychos or go back to scav from the moon

One thing that bugged me about lasers in TPS is they made different lasers to be like other guns, rail guns were laser snipers for example but didn't get sniper perks, so more limited on Aurelia. So if we got a laser brand that wouldn't be the case. Since atlus was pretty boring in bl3 maybe you just replace atlus with Time keeper lasers.

4:30 might be the new design for eridian. Bl2 had the barrels alien-like with the rest of the gun maintaining a more “manufacturer-like” look to them.
Maybe they decided to have eridian weapons fully embrace the alien look.
It’s also possible to be a new weapon type or a laser from the pre sequal but fire in bursts like fusion rifles in destiny. Anything’s possible.
1:20 i disagree, maliwan and hyperion have somewhat similar styles but theyre very distinct from eachother in that hyperion have much more jagged shapes and sharp edges and maliwan are smooth and rounded.

Honestly I think the visual design of the guns took a big downturn after bl2/TPS. Wonderlands was cool with the fantasy element, but 3 and now 4 look too future-y and like they lack the personality they used to have

4:40 I have a feeling this is going to be the new eridians or etech weapons rather than cov/bandit. The thing with bandit weapons is that they're rusted out and made out of scrap metal, something you would see in a mad max movie or in the hands of junkrat (rip ow2), this weapon in question looks way more tech advanced than that. I know the bandits are now enhanced with cybernetics but and that could've extended to their arsenal but I dont see it happening on this example.

2:04 looks like either hyperion or atlas. I feel its more on the atlas side a little, mostly due to the things under the barrel, which could be tracker darts (maybe?).
And the one you said could be the new ripper manufacturer really reminds me of Dahl weapons. Maybe a unique Dahl?
I would like to see one of two rebrand options:
(1) the Rippers have a manufacturer called the Ripoffs and they showcase other gun skins with large mags, or
(2) an NPC allows to you to partner in a start up manufacturer where you type your name into half of the companies name. So, like, "[Static Name] & [Your Entry]." You would be responsible for funding it of course, and eventually see your companies name show up in certain loot pools occasionally.
I think a decent gimmick for a Large Mags(/Kairosian/Ripper) manufacturer would be restoring some ammo to the mag on melee hits. Could work with a Facepuncher variant where it only has one in the chamber but landing the hit restores it. Then you'd have almost this Doom Eternal like gameplay loop of shooting out then going in close to restore ammo with melee.
I think it'd be pretty neat to bring in Polaris, a gun manufacturer from the cancelled Borderlands Online. Maybe make it focus on lasers or something new. Or have it be another elemental-focused manufacturer who comes to power after Maliwan took a drubbing in 3.
4:20 the shape and definitely the colour scheme made me think Dahl with The Blanc, Nemesis and Barrage having the closest in colour and Breath of the Dying/Creeping Corruption sharing similarities in shaping
wish they redesigned the maliwan weapons, hated how bulky they were in BL3 and seems like 4 follows the same style :/ A jump in style, just like how the style changed between 2 and 3, would have been nice.
tbh, the design of the guns in BL3 and seems like BL4, is just not for me, too bulky and too much going on. Still going to play this on release.

4:14 probably a unique tediore. It has a boxy design and the bottom piece with the triangular braces is pretty similar to what some tediore shotguns have in Borderlands 3, like the polybius or the flama diddle.
Love the videos you make and the effort you put into your content! I've watched almost all of your series over the past couple years and every time it always makes me want to play Borderlands. I'd love to see more Bl1 content but I understand it's not as popular, regardless of what game you play I'll watch

maybe the gun from 4:14 is a new E-Tech type of weapon. Standard body of a gun but with a unique barrel for the weapon. It has an animated energy core looking thing in the center of it that most likely correlates to the projectile its firing.

That gun that girl was firing maybe the new eridian weaponry from the time keeper maybe. We don't know if eridian weapons exist in this game yet so it's just a hunch but, we haven't seen eridian weapons since borderlands 1/alien barrel guns in borderlands 3.
The gun exploding in your hand can work. Have it be like the barrel or just front half of the weapon explodes and throws shrapnel. The reload animation can just be replacing the entire barrel. Thats also how you can write off the no-self damage part.
1:30 my guess is that its a maliwan gun with hyperion sight.
I think the blue assault rifle at 3:44 might be an example of customizable weapons. Has both the torgue and vladoff part designs. Would be cool imo

2:22 looks like the stock is maliwon, the mid section is hyperion, and then the barrel looks eridiun like the eridiun amplifier from bl3
2:14 could be another maliwan, because if you look at just behind the scope its those parts shown on the maliwan sniper shown earlier in the video
I think the new big mag gimmick would be like a bottomless regenerating magazine like a battery mag, I feel like that fits that weapons look well with that energy core magazine
the gun at 4:30 seems to use some kind of energy core or something. maybe its not a ripper weapon, but the faction the timekeeper is apart of. maybe like how Eridian weapons were in the first game, where they had infinite ammo, but tied to a battery/energy mechanic.
I've noticed some enemies in the trailer wearing shields with a small, almost like radioactive symbol on them - which I believe is the Ripper manufacturer logo. It'd be quite a twist as bandit/cov etc have only ever made guns - maybe for B4, they just make grenades and shields - hence why we're not seeing them hold guns in the trailer...maybe the lower tier Ripper enemies only use melee items as weapons.

What would be cool is to go with the ripper aesthetic and add a new loot type/inventory slot for cybernetics. Let you alter your character passively with cybernetics you find from your enemies, but only 1 at a time (perhaps like how the O2 kit replaced the relic)
What if the ripper manufacturer gimmick could be that they use like a core that uses charge and could be unstable making them unpredictable, like it could suddenly sort of "surge" with like an effect based on the gun type or maybe the core could be shot like a grenade, that or maybe that gun could be energy based like when we had lasers in the pre sequel
It'd be neat if they brought back the "Shoot forever, but the gun overheats" thing, but the variant this time is more heat = more damage so you're constantly threading the needle of heat high enough for big damage, but low enough to prevent breakage.
it’s crazy to see how we went from almost everything being revolver type/pump action weapons in bl1 to now every manufacturer having a recognizable style and gimmick. it’s cool but at the same time makes me miss the old style from 1 & 2
Considering the spinning cube thing in the middle of the gun, it could be the made by Timekeeper or his faction? Maybe with a gimmick of using a portal as a magazine so you never need to reload, gameplay wise translating into a chance of missed shots returning to your stockpile? Having the big mag manufacturer be the high tech enemy instead of the bandits would be a break from how it was before, and maybe these could be more fantastical instead of the established type of sci-fi as a way to differentiate it from Maliwan/Hyperion/Atlas.
What if the "Bandit" manufacturer had a pool of traits to pull from, but didn't do them as well as the parent company. Example, Bandit gun that has a Hyperion part that generates the forward facing shield but only for 10% of the original gun. Give these weapon the ability to also roll a number of perks, so white rareity can have 1-2, green 1-3, blue 2-3, purple 2-4, and legendary 3-5. So having a white tier gun that had a forward facing shield but when it was out of ammo your could chuck reload it for 1/3 the normal damage a full version Tedior would do. and it could only chuck when it's empty. To me this would truly make the guns feel like they were made from scrap parts. Yea they can do multiple things, but none of them as well as their parent company's gear.
Going with the ripper theme it would be cool if the gun has a melee gimmick built in like it overheats and then you go into a melee mode for a few seconds
For the main gun this video is about since it's black and yellow mainly it'd be cool if it was just SnS Munitions making their return after so long. Also for the one at 2:11 since it's whites, blacks, and reds with an exaggerated under barrel part it could be Atlas with the bottom part shooting out the tracker equivalent. Under part of the weapon at the end also has black and red though for an underbarrel so who knows.
You mentioned the ripper clan potentially having guns which makes sense, but we also do have another new faction against us. Keep in mind The order has been hidden on this planet for years and seem to be very advanced in tech. So its not unlikely that they would also be producing their own weaponry. Perhaps some of these guns we see that are very 'pointy' like the sniper looking one in the Sirens hands could be that? The structures they create match the same pointy design.

Hybrid-manufacturer guns would be super cool, which some of these potenitally look like they could be. Seems pretty unlikely but hey, it'd be nice.
I think The rippers manufacturer could be fully melee weapons and projectiles in trailer are just reflected (like chance to reflect projectiles while holding a melee weapon).
If they keep the overheat mechanic for the big mag manufacturer, I think the best idea to change it would be to have the gun “cook-off” when you over heat it.
For those who don’t know when a gun cooks-off irl, the barrel gets so hot that it literally fires continuously until all the ammo is expended.
Sounds like the perfect way to implement a draw-back and a buff to the overheat mechanic, having your gun cook-off during a boss fight would be good, but if you overheat your gun on a few skags you just lost a whole clip.
The Rippers may not be the only villain faction. Remember that person by that Vault door? He had an entire army with him.
I think the 4:14 weapon could be manufactured by the timekeeper's army. It would makes sense for the other major enemy of the game to also have their own weapons, and you can see in the trailer one of them shooting yellow prism like energy bolts that are similar to the yellow on the gun. Either the timekeepers army or is related to the woman with white and gold clothes if she isn't with the timekeeper.
With that torgue "Sniper", it has 2 barrels in the front, which means its probably a shotgun, like the BL2 torgue shotguns.

Weapon at 1:06 is maybe a new manufacturer - has the same vibe of the geometric/organic mixed look of the timekeeper's faction. If you go to the first look trailer @ 0:46 the tanky animal guys on the left and right side have similar design features to me
i think a cool legendary gimmick could be when you shoot the gun plays a song and depending on what part of the song you are on it could give different buffs debuffs and just general differences plus they could make this be a thing on each weapon type and each type has a different song
At 2:20 I'm wondering if that might even be atlas? There is a tiny hole underneath what is most assuredly the main barrel. Atlas weapons like to do the tracker dart thing from bl3 so firing it from tiny hole would make sense. It could also just an alternate firing mode of the weapon.
judging by the way the vh holds the weapon in bl4 at 130, it could be a Legendary Hyperion due to the design, but my guess would for the name be something like "Prasma Rifle" with the red text of "Wort Wort Wort" since it's shape does give off a reference to the Halo series.
If you look towards the front of the gun, seen at 1:32, I see a spinning disk-like object. I think that was unique to Maliwan guns, yeah?
We need to remember that Kairos supposedly has been cut off from the galaxy pandora and the others until it was crashed into by Elpis. They could've had their own manufacturer we haven't seen yet. That replaces the "bandit" manufacturer somehow
Weapon at 0:39 seems to be the same as the weapon from 2:12 just from a different angle. So both are probably a maliwan sniper.
Weapon from 1 minute in could be a Time keeper manufactured weapon or maybe an alien/vault guardian weapon as it follows their architecture.
3:33 looks like a pistol with a long barrel.
4:05 looks like an atlas rifle
4:16 probably a ripper weapon. It has the same yellow color that projectiles had during the clash between the two armies.
I think for the ripper gimmick it'd be interesting if it had a meter much like the COV guns, but instead of the gun just exploding, if you stop firing at the right point, like a certain section of the meter, it releases an elemental plume or cone outward like an exhaust discharge. If you do hold it for too long you risk the gun exploding in a small nova of that element around you, also damaging you a decent amount. It could be fun doing kamikaze builds where you gather enemies up and let the gun explode.
Most of the guns seem like they were a collab between two manufacturers.
Maybe they'll do something like that were you can even roll a different manufacturer on the weapon or something similar, idk.
It's usually easier to identify weapons by parts, but going by skin patterns, there are some trends, though there are exceptions.

Atlas, Hyperion, and Tediore don't have any that I could identify. Either they're unique to a specific weapon, so not a trend across the manufacturer, or they appear on weapons from different manufacturers, like stripes showing up on Atlas and Tediore.

For the Rippers itd be cool if u can split ur gun into 2 melee weapons or a large melee weapon as a secondary function. Would suit their seemingly melee/cqc focus.
I think it would be cool if the new weapon gimmick would be like the Guardian Angel Shotgun but reverse. The closer you are to the enemy the more damage you deal. Would be very cool in my eyes for a more aggressive playstyle

I think that, at least, the base of that weapon is Maliwan. There are some other Maliwan guns in bl3 that have an energy sphere as the mag, though the only one i can remember is a sniper, however this could have another manufacture's barrel on it, I definitely think its a unique, my guess is a blue/purple unique due to the effects, details and the special vibe it gives

Plot twist: The Rippers only manufacture equipment (shields, relifacts) and it's a Cyberpunk-esque body mod system.
I think bringing back any high-mag manufacturer would be great. But what I really want is for them to bring back weapons not normally made by certain manufacturers, like Torgue snipers, Jakobs SMGs, etc.
My guess is ammo work like COV. The gun has a energy orb spinning and it flash bright when the bullet is fired, maybe rail gun because the barrel look like it is made to accelerate stuff / space ship design.
Other guess but the Eridian weapon are back, that thing look alien AND is super long, you can see the "Stock" behind the character, that isn't normal BL gun proportion
I think the ripper weapons will be charge one as we see a thingy rotates and charges up before firing so it could be like infinite ammo but you need to wait for it to charge up between every shot. And longer you charge it more damage it does
I'm almost sure that the gun at 2:10 is the same one as at 0:40. look at the under barrel red things, as well as the shape of the upper part.
Edit: also behind the scope on the sides of the gun they both have those three circles on the bit that sticks out
i have a cool idea for the bandit weapons they have the overheat mechanic and they explode it damages the player but is unable to down them and the damage of the explosion is based off of how much health it takes away from the player, or maybe the explosion and gun both do more damage when at low health, id love to see something like that with the weapons themselves so kinda like urad but not a crappy anoint

About the highlighted gun; The green gave me some Dahl vibes. Shape might be more Tediore but I was thinking more about energy weapons because of the core.

Also, I actually think the part in around 4.30, that you say is a COV type , is actually a Tediore (possibly a shotgun). It's that rectangular barrel for me that does it. Shape of it is very Tediore like. The pink ball in the middle is potentially some new kind of element/material that makes the gun fire those orange laser type shots.

What about a gun with a large mag that reloads from a melee attack, the less ammo in the mag the more damage the melee deals.

Don't know if they will but I did hate how in BL3 a lot of the manufacturers didn't have shields, or grenades, or even some gun types. I hope they give the companies more kinds of gear.
