For my wife who passed in 2020 this song is forever you in my heart . RIP My love we will meet again but for now the pain of losing you is great 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I am so very for your loss💔 You will see her again, she's expecting you. Look up! Going vertical soon. May God give you peace and comfort your heart until you hold her in your arms forever. God Bless.❤❤
This song came on the radio today. Tears were flowing. My mom and I used to blast Dido on our long road trips together when I was a little girl. She passed away from stage 4 breast cancer in 2013 & I haven't heard this song since she was alive. The lyrics make so much sense with how much she meant to me ;( I miss you mommy 🌸🌸

Dido in my eyes is one of THE most talented singer/songwriters of her generation. I remember back in the day when Dido was very popular when she did ‘Here with Me’, ‘Thank You’, ‘White Flag’ and of course ‘Stan’ with Eminem, all of them are timeless classics and Pop Music was good back then. Sadly they’re aren’t many artists like Dido in the mainstream Pop Music scene nowadays.
Roswell is a legendary series! The enigmatic tone of this song really suit the series like a glove. Miss early 2000's. It was otherworldly - the songs, movies, fashion, art, motivations, inspirations, the world in general... Now, it seems like an old distance memories. Nostalgic feeling kicks everytime 💔

This song is timeless. It's one of the greatest songs recorded from the past half century in my opinion. It is very original in its chord progression and in the way it builds an overpowering crescendo.
This Song will never ever get old and to me it became a huge hit when Roswell 1999 edition came to our TV screen. This song just really hit home in all its elements for alot of persons for different reasons which is just amazing. We thank you for it Dido
The older you get the sadness increases in frequency. Relatives, friends that pass away and your role on this earth changes with age. I imagine you get to an age where you feel you have had enough and wait for your time to end.
Dido is saving my life right now.. Mental health is a complex thing and isn't a joke and you never know when someone is at their lowest point in life and just needs someone or something to take away that suffocating feeling of impending depression but just remember that no matter who you are or what you've done someone will always care about you whether they are in your life or not and there is always something you can do to try and turn things positive again.. Don't let yourself become another waste of life, everyone on this earth is equal and your life is just a precious from the moment you were brought into this crazy world.. If anyone needs someone when they are reading this don't hesitate to respond to this comment and I will try my hardest to be there for you! I have sat here feeling like I do right now that the easiest thing would be for me to be dead but I have lost good friends through suicide and I have seen first-hand the devastation it causes.. Try and speak out, try and sort our your issues as best you can and remember not everything can be fixed immediately, somethings take time.. One Love
The vibes of growing up in the 80's and 90's and the nostalgia I have for a simpler time in life... Am I the only one who is looking back in time in 2024 and wishing I had a second chance in the past? Am I the only one who is worried about the next generation of goats and sheep being manipulated into dividing people and bringing darkness and chaos in the future? Am I the only one who is worried about the people around the world and would like everything negative and destructive to stop because what we are fighting for is not worth it? Please let me know in the comments. I have tears singing this song...
Roman 2:7 says: to those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;... I believe in Jesus-Christ. There is hope. 🌞
I was born in the same generation and I too long for my childhood again It had its problems, but they paled in comparison to my problems today I weep at what the world us now with its pathetic delusions and obsessions I'm glad that I haven't added to the human race so I can be free of responsibility
It's ['80s and '90s]. The apostrophe goes before the numbers. The purpose of an apostrophe is to show where something was truncated. Ex: [It is] becomes [It's], [something] becomes [somethin'] when you want to show someone is saying it with an accent that removes the 'g'. So for years, you place the apostrophe before the other digits to show that the [19] part of 1980 and 1990 was removed.
of course.. Strange as it may seem when our mind hears the sounds of music can suddenly change our feelings in an instant into another dimension taking us to another place back in time then touches our heart making the memories come alive just once more amazing as it all seems lost for words only thoughts to linger with us until we leave this world ... Good memories for sure... I cried listening to this on the bus I was literally overwhelmed with emotions. Such a feel-good nostalgic vibe. Such a freaking nostalgia attack.... that hearing this after all of these years. It gives me so many shivers... Just imagine yourself driving a car on a motorway at orangy sunset remembering your childhood and good music... Loneliness... I guess I'm the only Sri Lankan who listens to the song right now.. Bit strange tho. Love from "lockdown" London. Be kind... xx
It's amazing how connection through music gives us a mutual understanding of common things I miss you so much I pray for your protection for all eternal life because I want you here with me my Love DIDO
I feel like did was one of those singers who's voice was different much like the cranberries back in the 90's. I really enjoyed listening to her as a child. and as an adult her words make much more sense.
acidxaidy i still can't believe that was already long time ago, i feel like it was just 5 years ago or something, miss those times. I remember everyone was fan of Buffy at my school during that time, i was the only "weirdo" who was Roswell fan lol I guess i was never vampire fan :P
I'm a 47 year old straight dude and I'm mot above stating outright that this song just breaks me. It captures that kind of romantic pain that occurs so poignantly when you're young. Beautiful in the most wrenching of ways.
Music connects us all. I'm 25 now but I used to feel empty with this song when I had 17 because of a very sad love experience. It is good to move forward and embrace things with a new perspective as we age.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...music breaks down walls. There is nothing other than social stigma that dictates what people "should" like. Race, age, sexual identity, none of it matters.
i was going to make a very different comment to this until right before i hit enter. being open to emotion and feelings has nothing to do with what sex or gender you are. music conveys more than words ever can. if music makes you feel something that is the whole fucking point of it.
Without music like this, the world could never imagine what heaven sounds like. I depend on this. The rhythm and transitions. They are smooth and beautiful

This song is absolutely mesmerizing! The haunting lyrics and Dido’s emotional voice perfectly capture the longing and vulnerability of love. ‘Here with Me’ has such a timeless quality, and every time I hear it, it takes me back to the unforgettable scenes from Love Actually. A true masterpiece!
Imprecionante, tengo 34 años y me sigue trasmitiendo los mismos sentimientos que cuando la escuche la primera vez. Belleza que hoy en día ya no queda 😍
This song always makes me teary-eyed and I've never suffered a broken heart, thank God. I've been with my husband for 21 years now. I feel this way about him. I remembered when this song was released and I fell in love with it. There's so much longing in this song.
I was so young when I listened to this song for the first time. Today am 26 and I still have it in the back of my head. This song has given me chills my whole life
View By Ray that’s not true! The mainstream stuff stinks, true. But there’s still great indie bands and jazz bands doing amazing stuff. Listen to the Florence and the Machine or Madeline Peyroux stations on Pandora to hear some of them.
I love Dido with all my freaking heart. But it’s so hard to find others that know and appreciate her songs like I do where I live. Can’t wait to have kids one day and play this for them so I’ll have someone close to me who loves it as much as I do. And then we can talk about it. But until then, I’ll be jamming by myself.
Another song of Dido that has been on my playlist for a few years since it came out. Its a hug a kiss and air i give to myself when none is around to give me after long difficult day or moments in my life. This music has the perfect words that friends need when they are low.... "I don't want to lose a friend.... I won't go, i won't sleep i can't breathe until you resting HERE WITH ME "
I've been listening to this song on repeat all morning ❤ I had to check out the video, and it was flawless. Dido is an icon. This song resonates with my soul. It's so beautiful 🥰 2023
That dark, desolate place in my brain where I go when I'm missing her, wanting her and thinking about the possibilities we could of had.. This song is playing. Providing comfort and sadness at the same time. I cannot be, until your resting here with me. Thank you Dido.
La escucho por mi sobrino que murió hace ya cuatro meses...era su cantante favorita. Me gusta mucho su voz y me da un poco de consuelo por su pérdida 😢❣️
"Here With Me" I didn't hear you leave I wonder how am I still here And I don't want to move a thing It might change my memory [Chorus:] Oh I am what I am I'll do what I want But I can't hide I won't go I won't sleep I can't breathe Until you're resting here with me I won't leave I can't hide I cannot be Until you're resting here with me I don't want to call my friends They might wake me from this dream And I can't leave this bed Risk forgetting all that's been
21 years ago this album absolutely saved me! I look back now on it as an absolute masterpiece and greet each song like a fond old friend. every track took me away from all my trauma, but now I can feel its power all these years later. Never dreamt at 17, that when I reached 37 I would still be here, healing and released a book about it all. Crazy. Back then didnt see the end of the week! Every day really is precious
I turned on this song, just because I've heard Dido's other song today. Then scrolled to comments to read what people write about it now, and after reading your comment I've bought your book. It's crazy how someone's emotional post may influence on my, in fact unplanned, shopping choice. Btw, this song also reminds me hard time in my life. I'm thankful it have passed. Can't wait to start reading the book, but from the other side I'm a little affraid of it.
@@Madziulka0811 oh wow really..thankyou so much for buying it! Its a tough read in the first part but theres a lot of music and positivity in there are you progress. Still find so surreal when someone buys it! ❤❤❤❤❤ dont be afraid of reading the book, it ends very very well but my life was pretty dark for a long while. Its only the last few years i healed enough to tell the tale! Would love to know how you found the story
It takes me back to a better time, an easier time. Now I'm circling the drain and there isn't really anything I can do about that. I'm ok with that but I'm glad I was around to be able to hear the music from back in the day. I'm glad you survived whatever it was and I'm sure Dido was happy to help.
One of the most underrated songs of all time. I listen to this song everytime I feel like I'm struggling in life, and after listening to it I always feel like I have been given a boost, not only a boost but also like a more decisive mindset on my problems. I can have a problem and when I listen to this it's like my mind has clarity on the answer

I am 17 years old now. When I was 2 years old my mother died. My mom's mom used to play this after she died and its one of the only things that make me feel like I have a mom. I don't know why but this song just reminds me of the mother i was denied...

This song is timeless. It's one of the greatest songs recorded from the past half century in my opinion. It is very original in its chord progression and in the way it builds an overpowering crescendo.

I second this! I wish more people appreciated it ❤
The words and background music 🎶 still makes the feeling of Love till the end
Every time I watch Love, Actually...it brings me back here.
Such a great song! Blasting it loud this morning on the way to work! Love me some Dido! Still so fresh sounding in 2023!
Roswell was a good intro for this timeless song when I first heard it. Now I praise it even more.
Yes...still so fresh sounding 😊 just love it ❤
42 years old and this is still fresh, good music. She was stunning wasn't she. Probably still is.
She's still stunning and beautiful and haunting and wonderful

This Song will never ever get old and to me it became a huge hit when Roswell 1999 edition came to our TV screen. This song just really hit home in all its elements for alot of persons for different reasons which is just amazing. We thank you for it Dido
And Love Actually movie
It's on ER, too.

Hello, where are you from?
@@clintonbryan8104 who are you talking to?
This song still hits hard after 15-20 years later! Always seems to be a new sadness every year.
The older you get the sadness increases in frequency. Relatives, friends that pass away and your role on this earth changes with age. I imagine you get to an age where you feel you have had enough and wait for your time to end.
Back in motion WORD😂😂😂😂
This song reminds me of my best friend - she passed in 2001 at just 36. This was on the radio all the time back then. I miss my friend 😔

One Love
Had similar feelings, fighting through them...thanks for your comment
Good luck... I wish you strength and courage... You'll manage💚❤💖💜💛🎶🌼🌸🌞

You're so damn right man, I understood this lately, and I bear in mind that a smile or so can save a day, or more, nice comment man
VERY TRUE.IM SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE STILL HERE . MY LOVE AND RESPECT TO YOU.
How many songs in this era can evoke such intense emotions like this? 😩😩
My current smartphone addiction suggests to me that life was actually better growing up before smartphones
@@willington-r9b Absolutely
I was born in the same generation and I too long for my childhood again
It had its problems, but they paled in comparison to my problems today
I weep at what the world us now with its pathetic delusions and obsessions
I'm glad that I haven't added to the human race so I can be free of responsibility
Those kinds of songs that you never get tired of..
indeed
She´s got beautiful eyes but she´s in a sunday evening mood lol.
it's your thinking process, you have to alternate your thinking so it doesn't become stagnant in life because of our routine
Nostalgia, the best and worst feeling...
Muy sabia frase
Absofreakinlutely!
Yeah - its bittersweet
Total.
This song is timeless, still connect with it after all these years.
Hello, where are you from?
I feel like did was one of those singers who's voice was different much like the cranberries back in the 90's. I really enjoyed listening to her as a child. and as an adult her words make much more sense.
When I was a kid I think at some point that Dolores O'Riordan and Dido were the same.
Sure her voice wow good

Kaledius teen years nostalgia
Roswell was my damn life lmao
acidxaidy i still can't believe that was already long time ago, i feel like it was just 5 years ago or something, miss those times. I remember everyone was fan of Buffy at my school during that time, i was the only "weirdo" who was Roswell fan lol I guess i was never vampire fan :P
+Kaledius I think we all share your nostalgia my friend :)
❤
i was going to make a very different comment to this until right before i hit enter. being open to emotion and feelings has nothing to do with what sex or gender you are. music conveys more than words ever can. if music makes you feel something that is the whole fucking point of it.

When music had real meaning and soul. Music these days, not so much
Word
Oldest cliche in the book. Is there a more banal comment on youtube than the remark that music has lost its meaning and integrity?
@@Bobertron199494 Who pissed in your cereal that morning?
View By Ray that’s not true! The mainstream stuff stinks, true. But there’s still great indie bands and jazz bands doing amazing stuff. Listen to the Florence and the Machine or Madeline Peyroux stations on Pandora to hear some of them.
Bobertron199494 is it a cliche or a sobering dose of reality? It’s true .
I love Dido with all my freaking heart. But it’s so hard to find others that know and appreciate her songs like I do where I live. "Here With Me"
I didn't hear you leave
I wonder how am I still here
And I don't want to move a thing
It might change my memory
[Chorus:]
Oh I am what I am
I'll do what I want
But I can't hide
I won't go
I won't sleep
I can't breathe
Until you're resting here with me
I won't leave
I can't hide
I cannot be
Until you're resting here with me
I don't want to call my friends
They might wake me from this dream
And I can't leave this bed
Risk forgetting all that's been
Thanks
