Nice job that. Only two things l would do different are drill a hole further forward in the original chassis to pull the loom through so it's not in the welding area. And, cut a "C" shape out of each side plate on the new section so the new crossmember doesn't have a straight butt welded end and is therefore less prone to stress cracks and stronger for towing.
Thanks mate, yea I always weld them in slowly so as not to melt harness, this guy didn't have a tow bar or socket going on so it just got welded as I did here, your right if it was mi e for towing I'd beef it up a bit more 👍
Nice job but I would, and have done, drilled some holes in the sides of the new legs and plug welded them. Just in case they want to do a bit of towing in the future.👍
