The contradiction here is that, like they said, people use this to track their stuff in case it is stolen. So if someone steals something from you and then is notified they are being tracked... well that really defeats the entire purpose of these things.
Easy check your iPad or iPhone if there's a Bluetooth signal near you.. Then go about a mile away and do the same thing if that signals with you and you don't know what it is , somebody is tracking you ..All those tags operate on Bluetooth.. I wish somebody would track me I'd feel wanted...
It'd be cool if i was tracked too, I'd have to find the tag and then also find out who was tracking me and why. And then it can be an ultimate showdown, who will be kidnapped or killed first
This video got some things right, but got as many things wrong. The only thing I'll mention, since it's not my job to correct the whole internet, is that this isn't an Apple issue! Apple didn't invent this technology. Apple is just joining the party and now people are complaining about the party because now it's Apple. Over half of the comments to this video are Apple-hater comments with no logic. If Apple shut down its AirTag system, the problem wouldn't go away, and other companies will fill the void. As I write this, Google is testing software for Android that copies all the features of Apple's AirTag software.
@@alexapuerta Correct. But there are more Android phones than Apple phones, and Android is getting an update soon to copy this feature. Are the same people in the comments to this video going to hate Google for the same reason?
The last sentence (3 seconds) of the video vaguely answered the video title question. “Get an app”. Which app?! Do the research news guy! Answer the question you put in the title. Channel blocked.
Another misleading headline from a “news source”
At no point did they say how to tell if your being tracked

Just installed 2 air tags in my car, if it gets stolen hopefully I can track it! Pros and cons with these air tags.
Disconnect the speaker it’s easy to do
Pointless as a thief gets a notification saying it’s near them so they know to remove it 🤷🏻♂️
@@matthewmansmoviesinminutes2899 If they can find both of them with the speaker disconnected.
Good thing Apple now knows where your car goes at all times.
The most important thing left out of this news segment is pointers on achieving that anchor’s commanding mustache
The thieves are thanking apple
This honestly should be illegal and Apple should be banned from selling this product.
A person can easily destroy your life with that device. Their needs to be more outrage behind this evil product.
Facts my x is crazy and watches my every move it’s creepy and I can’t find it

I'm already tracking you but you don't know it.
@@Dime_Bar Control knows where everything is.
Good luck finding it in your car. There are people who can’t find it after looking for a week. Too easy to hide.

The reason this has a lot of attention is because of Apple's extensive ecosystem and user base. It affects a lot more people than Tile for instance.

They still use them for a horrible purpose

It’s Confusing Me!
Google has been tracking you for years with phones.
The proof is in the pudding when you see ads for the things that you've talked about around your phone
*YA BUT YOU GAVE GOOGLE PERMISSION TO TRACK YOU*
*AND THESE AIR TAGS ARE USED TO TRACK PEOPLE FOR ILL INTENT*
Wow really!
Stingray Surveillance tracking devices on phones aka IMSI devices have been around for years. Obama welcomed the spying technology.
Yeah, google is a problem. But it's not an immediate danger like a stalker.
Rubbish this video did not tell me how to know.
My ex just found one hidden inside his car under his passenger seat.
Ban them.
