Could you take a moment in one of your videos to show and explain shear top, blob top, three part, etc? I’ve looked up what they look like and sort of when they were used,, but it would be great to hear a practical account of what they signal to you about age, use, source of material for the dump etc. do the bottle dumps represent single dwellings or community sized deposits?
Thanks. I so enjoy your videos.

Another fund hunt, thanks Si & Tim - I wonder if the slag glass would tumble? Could be fun to find out? Love the dinky blue bottle - I do find it fascinating that in this garbage dump is all this evidence of bustling, thriving industry (the SIZE of that cod liver oil bottle) - not only do they rarely make bottles like that any more, but what on earth happened to all those businesses, that commerce & industry, all those great ideas and ambition? Their epitaph buried in a dump - until some Mudluver resurrects a relic to prove they were here? History! - Keep well, mate & have a g'd one! 👍🐾🦘🥂

Thank you Si and crew, I so appreciate your love of history and the interesting bits and pieces that you manage to find. It’s great that you share information about each item with everyone, I love when you include images of the ink print advertisement campaign posters. Regards Jo 🇦🇺 🦘🐨

Great video Simon - here in Western Australia my husband and I love Monday mornings to catch your latest mudlarking adventures.
I can give you a bit of info on the Inniskilling pipe decoration. It's not Derry Castle but Enniskillen Castle Barracks in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. This was the regimental artillery home of the Inniskilling Fusiliers en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enniskillen_Castle
My grandfather, Robert George Smith, was the Ordnance Foreman at the Castle, employed by the then Office of War. He worked a total of 33 yrs in this position first in Enniskillen Castle Barracks then in Carrickfergus Castle, also a barracks.
The job required him to be on site at all times so he and his family lived in both castles until he retired in 1928. My father was born in Enniskillen Castle in 1906.

Great finds! My favorite finds were the pipe, small blue bottle, bell shaped ink well, perfume bottle and cross shaped stopper. Cool! Great fun watching guys. Thanks!
