Baroque time always surprises us with many magnificent composers. Something remarkable os his originality: very different from Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, and other importante musicians. Amazing!
This composer and painter was an important person in the development of instrumental music which contains more than 10 instruments. (My consideration is: how much did Vivaldi Boccherini "pick up" from him? What is the influence's on other composers of "Concerto Grossi's"?) Not much is though known about his personal life. A person who's life should be more studied and worth it too! There is said to exist a book about him - I dont know it's title yet but perhaps I find it in Rome some day!
I can give some other comfort: there is now a book on the way partly about this Valentine as a composer. Though it will take some year more to collect relevant facts. There exists diarys where he is mentioned and so on and so forth. Hereby a jiggsawpuzzle appears with music, paintings - and not least this fantastical music (the Concerto Grosso) all tells something and adds to all this. Also the appearance of a "Red Priest" down the historical lines!

A dream team of stringed instruments.
Dream strings, yes
You are so right, I recognize much of Vivaldi's work in this music like his La Stravaganza, and his some of his Seasons, mostly Winter.

Estoy enamorado del barroco...

paludoso e stagnante...la verità schiaffeggia
Whilst I enjoy Giuseppe Valentini's works I prefer the works of Giovanni Valentini, the title of uploaded videos should distinguish between the two.
Vivaldi's lost brother.

Playing at these very fast tempos is like eating a delicious meal in two minutes. I am not impressed.
