Great job on the review, we can always count on you to offer the viewers an HONEST opinion, something you don't always get on other TH-cam channels. The air assist pump as you mentioned is very disappointing, regretfully, your fix would remove the ability to turn the air assist on/off from within Lightburn, and we all know we'll forget to turn it on/off manually on complex projects where certain layers need it, and some don't. 😉
Thanks- Good point on not forgetting to turn on the air assist pump after replacing the stock one- that's way I used a power strip for both the air assist pump and exhaust fan- I use the power strip switch to turn them both on :) Thanks for watching! Other than the air assist pump- I LOVE the ONYX-R!
Nice review! I believe the longer cable is for the camera, and I actually use the included long Ethernet cable for the control connection. I demonstrate this setup in my video review of the Onyx R 55W. Interestingly, my EU variant of the inline fan came with a longer cable that even includes a switch! I also love your tip about replacing the air-assist pump with an external one spliced into the exhaust fan.
Thanks! Here I've been using the long cable for the computer and the short for the camera :) I'm not crazy about changing the air assist pump but it's easy and the upgrade is awesome!! thanks for watching!
My onyx r came with a longer cable and switch for the inline fan luckily. Received mine in July. I really want to change out the air assist but I'm very nervous to do it! Great video!

Great video!
@@nicolemellin5561 If you choose to change the air assist pump it's well worth the time and pretty straight forward.
Glad you like the video- thanks 😃
that thing looks like a copy of the omtech polar 350 which is a copy of the gweike cloud
They have a similar layout but some of the internals are different along with the included accessories.
@@thelaserchannel1 thanks 👍 would be nice if you could get your hands on the new gweike NOX for reviewing it
