    It's been two months since I moved to Canada...apartment was easy to find on Facebook marketplace, and job was easy since I had 4 years' experience in accounting. Students like us shouldn't blindly trust every second video on TH-cam that claims students life is like this like that. It is important to remember that everyone has a different mindset and different skills, so just because someone is giving an interview does not mean that you will fall exactly in the same category. All you need is hard work and you will be able to achieve your goals.

      He is not telling complete truth canada is going towards a big recession. They are taking 5 lakh immigrants every. Do canada have capacity to give this immigrants job after 2 years of study. Canada is not a big economic power like us it is heading towards a economic depression.

    IRCC conducted 4 consecutive Express Entry draws this week so far:
    21 Dec - Agriculature EE Draw - 400 people invited with CRS cutoff at 386.
    20 Dec - Transport EE Draw - 670 people invited with CRS cutoff at 435.
    19 Dec - Trade EE Draw - 1000 people invited with CRS cutoff at 425.
    18 Dec - General EE Draw - 1325 people invited with CRS cutoff at 542.
    Moral of the story is to study one of 82 (35 health, 24 STEM, 10 trade, 10 transport, 3 agriculture/agri-food) prioritized occupations, qualified for category-based Express Entry draws with lower CRS cutoffs. You do not want to be in general Express Entry draws with very high CRS cutoffs: 511, 505, 517, 496, 531, 504, 500, 561, and 542. It is very difficult to get over 500 without the help of PNP, LMIA, or French.

      @user-ym9lp7qu6d 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I completely agree with you.
      But if you want to go for express entry, then you have to study in a university and work for at least 2 year in your field and be able to score ATLEAST 8 bands on IELTS. This way you can get approx 505-508 CRS points.

      What are the courses for Commerce students in your mentioned list above?

    • @smwk2017
      @smwk2017 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-rr6wm6nz8n There are no commerce occupations in the 82 prioritized occupations list. If you study commerce (accounting, finance, marketing, sales, business admin, HRM, Global Business Management, International Business Mangement, Project Management, etc.), you belong to general Express Entry draws with high CRS cutoffs (500 and above). You will need PNP to get above 500 CRS points. Each province's PNP is different. PNP's in Atlantic provinces appear to be easier to obtain than Ontario PNP (OINP). You'll need to do some research on PNP streams.

    During COVID, Canada extended PGWP 3x. In 2024, no PGWP extension is announced. Many Indian graduates will be returning home with their Canadian experience and stories to tell. In 2023, Express Entry target is 82,880. Number of ITAs issued is 110,266. ITA surpassed target by 27,386. IRCC would overdraw on purpose because many ITAs won't be successful. There are about 900,000 international students in Canada.

    If you are doing well in India, you shouldnt move...When i say well, i mean, You are able to earn about 60000 per month and see gradual improvement...You or your parents have their own house in a decent indian city (Tier 1 or tier 2, its okay )....If you arent at that stage yet, then you can consider moving to other countries...dont go for just 2 words, which are P.R...Life here is difficult in short...Lot of taxes..Even after you get P.R, real estate is very expensive..so you will work like a donkey to get your house paid off...You truly settle down after 20 years from the day you land..and then you are 50 or 55....? This is when you will probably wish to go back to India for hospitable weather and good medical support, cause growing old here is again difficult...Once again, there are 200 + other countries in the world...and then there is India, which i feel is a good country..Bahar nikal kar hi India ki value patha chalti hain...

    PLEASE DON'T GET DISHEARTENED FROM THIS, READ BELOW.
    Obviously, there are fewer part-time jobs than before. But did you notice something, everyone was living in Ontario or GTA to be more specific and everyone was studying in "colleges" taking up washed-up courses. That's what happens when a single province houses more than 40% of total international students. Of course, you won't find the part-time job you dbfks.
    There are other provinces Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta, and BC. I am not saying there are plenty of part-time jobs but the conditions are a litter bit better.
    It's so obvious to not go to colleges and choose Universities, why tho?
    1) A master's degree is more valuable than PGDM(Both in Canada and India) and it also gives more CRS points. PGDM is literally a shit degree(sorry for harsh words)
    2) Universities help in finding co-op in the final semester, this gives you Canadian Experience.
    3) Universities have intellectual students and professors who have significantly more experience.
    4) Universities provide you with on-campus job opportunities.
    PLEASE CHOOSE WISELY

    • @smwk2017
      @smwk2017 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      For Canadians, Master degree is not necessary, unless you couldn't find a job and need to stay in school longer. There is no pay advantage between Bachelor degree and Master degree in the long run; only experience matters. Psychology is one occupation that requires higher degree.

    I am wondering why the kids are coming to Canada and doing random courses that one will not even think of in India. Is that even capable to land them a job of 150K CAD a year at their later phase in career? Considering the hardships that they go through, the returns they get - its not worth.
    In fact the better option is to take admission in Indian colleges for decent courses by paying donation if need be and get ready for the Indian job market that will be a much better life in terms of quality.

      It is bad whenever there is a large concentration of international students. Local Canadian students live at home (free food and rent) off their parents and commute to school. Also, tuitions for Canadian students are 3x to 5x less than what international students are paying. There is no need for most Canadian students to work while studying, unless they decide to study in some faraway places or out-of-province.

In-province university tuition is $4,000 per year average. Out-of-province tuition is $9,000 (2023) going to be $12,000 (2024) if attending McGill and Concordia. It is more expensive studying out-of-province.

Background jobs (such as dishwasher, cook, cleaner, janitor, programmer, etc.) staying English is fine, although employers prefer bilingual employees. RN and LPN/RPN are prioritized occupations. RN requires 4-yr Bachelor degree in university. LPN/RPN requires 2-yr college diploma. Not everyone makes it to graduation. Many students dropped out voluntarily or failed too many classes. You need to be good with two parts: books and clinical. After graduation, study and pass NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-LPN exam to receive nursing license from province. If you fail NCLEX exam, you can re-take it in 45 days for a fee. With license, then you can look for work in hospitals in that province. Nursing is in demand so there are many job openings. People leave the occupation due to burn-out and family obligations.

Therefore, instead of wasting time watching these videos, invest your time and learn Gen AI, do AWS Google cloud certs etc.

If Life in India is better then who compels these students to spend huge money on useless courses & colleges they chose for studies. Reality is that only deserving students with good academic carrier should come in Canadian universities and choose courses that gonna give them a better life in Canada or in USA. Canada as a country need labours to fill its labour market and as such international students benefit them the most.
