Thank god Leo P is doing work like this for bari players out there. As a bari player hearing bari specific advice is rare and treasured when I hear it. Leo is my #1 favorite bari player and I strive to play like him. So doing his course is like a gift from heaven
I love that you’re doing this sort of thing. Teaching how to be more efficient and effective on a horn rather than “muscling things out” is something that I will always advocate for
Hi Leo, Great video just to let you know that you have inspired me to pick up and play my baritone sax. Thank you, and the bands that you play with loved the funky town cover cheers Paul
I play tenor, I started with clarinet.. when I started tenor our band director was in the hospital. I ended up resorting completely to the Bari to teaching me techniques and one of them was for playing B♭
Amazing artist + big thanks to taking your time to share you're knowledge ^^ I wanna ear leo p. in an other register, made a smooth song like careless whisper, it will be really interesting to ear his creativity in that style ^^
It doesn't work because of the enharmonic tones. Not every tone in the scale is a full step above the last. The third & fourth tones are only a half step apart. Same with the seventh & eighth

I've liked the bari sax since Greg played it in the first dance band I was in . . . back in 1956. I still like the sound.
You’re getting there! I much respect! I remember when you played Royal Albert Hall!
I had to do a ton of c to c octive jumps for my jury yesterday and doing this helps a lot

middle a to middle a + right hand closed produces interesting quarter tone tremolo
These are essentially "resonance fingerings". Equally useful on clarinet throat tones.

Doesn’t work for B, because your B and F key is an alternate fingering for Bb
