Fun stuff. Get some 6mm x 3mm rare earth magnets that will work well in 3mm or 1/8" material or you can stack two for 1/4" material. They will also be much smaller in diameter to take up less space on the inside of the box.
I agree with you. Easel is very good for beginners. When I bought my CNC 2 years ago, I really wanted to use V-Carve but it was overwhelming as I had to learn both the CNC and the software. A year later I switched to V-Carve after I feel confident with my CNC machine. Santa just got me a laser engraver and I need to start learning from the start again. That's how I found you channel. Thanks & Happy new year!
I own Aspire the big brother of Vcarve and have had it for several years. It took awhile to understand it but there great support for learning it. I use it all the time for processing 2d files for my three xtool lasers.
Nice video. I have both the X40 Pro Max (still in box) and the same CNC. The CNC has been setup in the shop for months and I’ve never used it. I’m pretty good with Lightburn and laser cutting/engraving. This video has sparked my interest into actually using the CNC.
Dave, great video. I do have a question on a different topic. I just got a new laptop. And I purchase alot of svg files from Etsy. I download and copy and paste into lightburn. Unfortunately this new windows 11 has no copy and paste option. Any suggestions? Thanks
It has the capability it just uses icons. Look up at the top when right clicking and you will see what looks like scissors snd two sheets of paper. That is cut and copy. If you don't wanna use the icons, CTL+C is copy and CTL+V is paste. You can also change the layout and make it look more classic.

Happy new year to you and your family, I noticed that you are using mm per second my Ortur is using mm per minute can this be converted in lightburn. Many Thanks Steven.
High Clack, this subscriber needs some assistance, I have acquired an Atezer P20 and purchased light burn and installed same on the computer, the Lightburn display only has the "move" panel on the display and I cannot determine how to get the laser panel to appear in order to select devices. I appreciate any guidance you may provide. thanks

I ordered some for the future

The transition shouldn't be too bad. Lasers are easier in my book. Enjoy..

Thank you for the demonstration. Even the errors and challenges. Helpful to see you wirk through potential solutions.
Thanks..

It adds another level of making to the laser. Enjoy
I love how those came out. Those magnets are very soft, if you use a drill go slow, I would hate for the projects to get ruined.
I am pretty sure I can get them out, I have better ones ordered.
I do designs in LB and save as SVG to go to Fusion for 3D print. Easier that way.
My feeling as well
I use light burn for my cnc work too.
Nice!
Cool! As I am getting better and better with LB.
Keep it up
You can make a design in inkscape and then create a gbrl file under extensions grblfile.
There are lots of ways.
Very cool idea, Happy New Year brother....KMA
Thanks 👍
Note, best to use smaller rare earth magnets unless you want it to REALLY hold tight.
Yep

That icon is not on my screen, and control C doesn’t do anything. Not sure what’s going on.
@@TheClackShack I got it figured out. Thanks so much
Man! You are getting diversified. CNC and lasers, what’s next PLA?
Already printing in PLA...
Hey, I also have the Atomstack x40 Max. Can you tell what camera you use for material alignment?

Thanks. How high above the cutting surface does it need to be to see the whole cutting area?
@@Chucka1463 mine is around 20 inches
Neodymium magnets will definitely do the trick.
Yep
I appreciate your video brother. Now I have to get a CNC. lol The project looks much better using the CNC.
It is just one more method of making... Thanks.
Happy new year to you and your family, I noticed that you are using mm per second my Ortur is using mm per minute can this be converted in lightburn.
Many Thanks Steven.
You can change it in lightburn. Or just divide or multiply by 60

There is a "restore default view" function that may help. The display differs based on your resolution
Thanks for your suggestion and the prompt reply@@TheClackShack
Hello! Got a 4040 pro and the 10W laser and lightburn. What are your "additional settings" for simulations?
Not sure what you are referring to. In lightburn?
Sorry, yes the lightburn settings
@@cliftonmcreynolds5872 I never adjust those. It is just a best guess from job to job
MillMage is coming soon... I may have an inside scoop on that "wink"
Maybe soon
Is there a way to go from Easel to Lightburn??
You can export SVG file and import into Lightburn as well.
No need to apologize about the magnets. You demonstrated the basic ideas to do both laser cuts and the CNC design. Thanks!
Magnets need to be rare earth magnets.
Yep
boooo das ist kein cnc das ist laser
Ich habe sowohl eine Spindel als auch eine Laser-CNC verwendet. CNC-Computergesteuerte Maschine.
Die Spindeldatei habe ich mit Lasersoftware entworfen. Sie sollten sich das gesamte Video ansehen.
