Nick O’Malley’s bass is the secret weapon in TBHC
All of TBHC bass lines are a love letter to my ears 🙏
@@polarfudioso couldn’t agree more😩
What bass is it I need it right now
You are certainly right, sir.
@@danh5664It is a burns sonic bass of 64
My favourite thing about Arctic Monkeys and Turner in particular, is that there is no way they would have known if people were going to like this direction, yet they play every note as if its the best song ever written. True fucking artistry
Because it's a fucking masterpiece of an album, arguably their best piece of art. To me their previous work was as much rock and roll as it could be in our generation but this... Damn it, this is art.
Vytautas Pilkauskas i used to think tbhc wasn’t that great and was disappointed with the direction they went in. now i worship this album every fucking day
Yes
This bassline is a masterpiece by itself...
Carlos España Alex
Alex wrote and recorded it
He's so good
no denying the excellence of Turner’s voice and songwriting... musician of a generation.
Arctic Monkeys and The Beatles are my fav.
**Ur picture
Yes, Turner's earned his place. Now I wont think of Timmy when I hear the name Turner
When I need a break from ARCTIC
MONKEYS I put in another ARCTIC MONKEYS album
Gary Rouyea LOL Fkn yes
Lol what?? That song is rubbish, a boring track. His lyrics sound like a 16yr olds diary when they first start reading poetry, self indulgent nonsense. They’re first album was outstanding but nothing good since.
Is it me or there is something kind of addictive about this song?
Its that bass line, more addictive than heroin
@@gokulvaradan8781 I'm really starting to think it is the bassline. Fucking Al goes from not playing bass to laying down the best bassline in their whole discography
The whole album is like that tho
No joking, i think this is like the 150th time that i listen to this song
TheDivisionBell same here my friend
alex really loves this song
Who wouldn't?
bc is the best song he ever witten
I don't Know no
@@ArloQuilt it is. the instrumentation. the bass line is insane. the harmony. the melody of the voice and the lyrics. A masterpiece
Ngl I have it prefer younger alex
Slowly but surely this album went from "sure it's pretty good" to "this is one of the best albums of the last 20 years"
the bassist just keeps getting hotter, holy christ!
Jamie cook?
Yellamo
Rim El Gana Alex wrote it. Well must of the instrumental in the album was him alone
@@kmanet4118 she said about the bassist , not the bass , but yea the both are hot y'know
NICK O' MALLEY 4EVER. I mean he always looked cute but he's looking extra fine
his voice is so stellar on this album
He is trying to sound like Elvis since 2011 but now he sounds more than Elvis
It's like his voice gets more and more magical with every album, imagine what he'll sound like when he's old 😶
@@sikguy9939 literally sounds fuck all like Elvis, no idea what you're on about.
I absolutly love just how much he gets into it during this performance. The original is pretty chill and slow (not a bad thing, I love this song), but here you can just see and hear the passion Alex has for music.
One of the best songs they’ve ever done. This song absolutely comes alive when it’s played live.
That roar on 3:17 is the best fucking thing on this planet
His voice sounds better here than on the studio version.
underrated song
Nice armony and chord progression
Underrated album :/
Very good album, if I do say
It’s vary brave to change the music style an expect that everybody like it
from literally the most underrated but best album ever :(
Are we not going to talk about Alex's skills on the keys?
it’s definitely good and proficient for someone switching from playing the guitar for like 20 years or something to piano but at the same time it’s just simple chord progressions. such a great song tho, simply a masterpiece
@@audreykwong1498 i dont think alex is doing simple chord progression at 3:09
@@aqhbarshaiful he's just repeating the same notes over and over so it's still pretty simple
but still, it's pretty impressive for someone who switched from playing guitar
Easy chords, slow
@@aqhbarshaiful Those are single notes played not that fast, he isn't even reaching far
HOW DOES HE SOUND BETTER THAN THE STUDIO LIVE???
Especially in TBH&C songs, I don't get it too
Karima Fouad IKR???
He’s belting more here, less falsetto! So it sounds more intense and loud!
ITS THE ARCTIC MONKEYS ALL THEIR SONGS SOUND SO BETTER LIVE 😭😭😭😭
@@incognisant7904 real musicians 🤩
Yeah sex is alright but have you listened to the ‘celebrate your dark side’ part of this song?
Ah that's my favorite part
Oh my goodness, isn't it the best part?? It's like slipping into something untraceable to the naked eye 😌
It's much much better on this live version that the record. Alex's synth has the counter melody there and it's much louder here than on the record.
@@Ali-kp7bh everything is better than bad sex
It's literally the worst part. Stop bragging about liking shit songs or shit choruses.
Anyone else think Turners voice sounds metallic and straight up epic in the live versions?
3:19 When your mama wake you up for school
Gaahhaahjahahahahaha
LMFAO
Ahahahahahha
Omg the accuracy
i hate that i actually laughed out loud
his outfit, his style, his expressions, his voice.. all his character is honestly so cool and attractive! I love TBHC era!
0:06 that head syncrony though
can we talk about he always stares right into the camera during the chorus like in the music video. its literally sends chills down my spine he's like staring into my soul
When I first heard this song I didn't find it excepcionally good but after hear it a lot of times I find it incredibly amazing and the lyrics are, actually, really good we need to understand what he is trying to talk about and the song looks better if we understand it! I think their new album is something more deep lyrically and I like what they did, there are some good songs like this one
Same here, actually all the songs from this album seemed weird at first now I can’t get enough!!
This album definitely has one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever listened to
I like this version much better than the original, I think because of the vocals... The style he’s singing it with.
Nick is the real MVP of this album 🙌🏽
He didn't recorded that bassline,it was alex
Derek Bisgounis Alex wrote and did most of the instrumentation himself
thank god for this band
This song is like a memory of another life... I dont know why
Alex Turner is an underrated icon.
nope
In my opinion one of AM’s best and most underrated songs
THAT Bassline....
1:17 -1:21 He's staring right into my soul
Alex Turner is single-handedly responsible for turning me gay
Marikong
I suppose his last name is very appropriate then
@@Mgooy Ahaaaaaaa
Exactly
@@RatchetBkv weon
That music arrangements, Nick basslines and Alex voices is out of this world. Love you guys to death
How the fuck does Alex play those mind boggling arpeggios while singing so well? How?!
foreal tho wtf
I used to think the lyrics were “jesus in a gays bar” and now that ive heard the live version I... may be wrong
😂 It's ok, I used to think it's "floating down an endless stream of green tea" in Star Treatment.
Hahahahajahahha duuuuuude, you just made my day
Looool
i too would like to float down an endless stream of green tea
Of all the places to sing that line wrong, Austin TX is number one.
Am I the only d head that actually got into Arctic Monkeys after the last album?
Like, it was everything I missed in my life at the time
Broooo , is it just me or did Nick just become the bands SHNACCKKKKK
It wasn't me, it was Patricia
The bass in this song is amazing😍
it sounds a lot better when he sings it 'harder' (i don't kow how to say this, but you know what i mean, the original is i would say 'soft spoken')
RJAKHXKSBZKS U JUST READ MY THOUGHTS i didnt know how to word it :/
100%, he’s just singing with more force but you’re right it sounds so much better! I listen to this live version more than the studio version to be honest
Prefer his voice on this than the studio version
yeah
Agree
me too!!
i can't help but feel like turner has really turned on to bowie these past few years
listen to how his singing sounds influenced by bowie's
A great influence to have too
This was the best version of this song
LIVE VERSION OF THIS SONG IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ALBUM VERSION DAMN
0:00 - 3:37 is the best part of this video
You don’t like the 3:38 part?
1:21 him staring into the camera like in the video lol 😂
I would cry like a belieber if I get to meet this gentlemen in person.
His voice sounds amazing in this, it sounds raspier then most of the other videos of them during this tour. Like that yell at 2:00 sounds awesome
I definitely love more the live performance compared to the studio version!
the bass lines are just immaculate
my favorite live of this song so far, cannot stop watching this
2:31
So awkward, right?
They paid him to play tambourine for 3 minutes and appear for 2 seconds
I love this so much omgg
This song has a distinctive and so so so strong character...
I just can’t stop watching this video. Masterpiece.
absolutely amazing track
One of the greatest 🙌
Seeing them at Lollapalooza Argentina in March and there's nothing I can't wait for more than listening to this song live
Ay yo tambiénnnnnnnnn ya no puedo esperar massss
It's the most addictive song ever
Feel the Mystical vibe✨🔥
love this.. wonderful performance
this song is a MASTERPIECE
This is magic♡
Best performance of this song out there.
i just cant get enough of this era
1:18 that was quite unsettling
🤰🤰🤰
ALL OF THEM INCLUDING THEIR MUSIC AGE SO WELL
thank you alex, for keep rocking and rolling the rock and roll
wow , this live version is fire!!
Este album é das coisas mais lindas da mh vida...Congratulations Mr Turner.!!!
This song sounds even better in live
They should make this the official music video.
Ahhhh!!!!! I hated this album 6 years ago, but I've never been able to get this tune out of my head.
AMAZING
Technological advances really bloody get me in the mooooooooooood 👌
Such a great song and album.
It sounds sooooo good here
Generational talent
His voice is unreal man

Mesmerizing album.
