Panda when you install your Nvidia cards plug your display into one of the GPU don't use the video out on the rebtech motherboard itself for Nvidia I have two of the and works perfectly and I didn't even update the drivers

NVIDIA IS WORKING ON IT! I currently own just that REBTECH motherboard. Currently running 5 x rtx 3070 gpus on it. Plus i have 3 more ports to go :) It is currently working really good. 311 mhz on ethash

Did you have to do anything else? I bought a few of these a while ago and couldn't get nvidia cards to work.
Mine has bios version 5.21.31, not sure if the bios version is too old.
I did run through your steps and didnt seem to work. (trying some rtx 2060/2070/2080 cards)

Discovered this 3 days ago and almost bough 2 last night for my rigs. Now they are out of stock, sick.
They have been for sale for years and rabid mining video from a month ago caused all the hype and they sold fast. Bits be tripin had one many years ago.
They better not be out of stock for long, since they took my order and payment for two units a few hours back.

@@pixuhl Did you pay them? I did, waited a full 48 hours then sent them an email asking that for a confirmation that they received the payment. They replied the next day and then the following day I got an advice from DHL that it is being picked up the next day... Tracking its way slowly through Europe, making its long journey to Australia. Just hassle them. I think they are legit - just probably inundated from the orders they'd be getting because of the several videos recently put out.

I believe there are people that have got nvidia cards to work with them. I think you have you have to use HiveOs and maint. Mode; download/update nvidia driver first. I havent had time to test mine personally but I feel there is a way. Keep us informed.
I wanted to buy a few but then I saw the issues you had and since I only have nVidia GPU’s, I decided not to order. This thing could be awesome, but maybe a more experienced manufacturer like ASUS could make one.

I have some RebTech MBs on the way. I also have some Radeon VII on the way. After the issues you had with the Radeon VII, I am unsure about using server PSUs to power the rig. I have found some ATX PSU that can power the rig. I see one snag though, as the Rebtech uses a PCIe 6-pin for power, there is no place for the 24 ATX connector. I have read that the ATX PSU will not stay on if the 24-pin connector is not plugged in. I have also seen some very hacky way to try and fake out the ATX PSU, but many require sending voltage over a resistor, that just burns power. I think Rapid Mining said something using one of the 8 GPU connectors on the RebTech in order to use an ATX PSU. Are aware of any good ways to keep the ATX PSU turned on?

I have a full 3060 ti rig running on hiveos for the last 2 weeks with no issue just no monitor display out of the hdmi Rebtech board. Not a big deal as long as it works on hiveos and hashes :) Also they use DHL to ship to Canada, DHL charged me duties and tax $95 CAD for 3 boards. These boards are absolutely great 2 thumbs up.

This looks like a great option. My only thoughts are "can they keep up with demand?" I tempted to buy a couple of these for my AMD rigs to free up some MOBO and PSU.
Why not mount the rebtech like a video card and be more effecient with your rig space. You'll save about 3u space or 5.25 inches for each rig in height.

Hey mate ... do you find the HP DPS-1200FB 1200W power supplies extremely noisy, compared to a standard consumer 1200w PSU for a desktop computer?
I'm thinking of using one for a small upcoming mining rig project, but the rack will most likely be located with me in my home office. I do work in server data centres (mainly IBM servers) and am aware of how noisey some of those enterprise server PSU's scream along (especially during start up), but the convenience of the breakout board with 12 x 6 pin GPU plugs interests me.

Rebtech just raised prices by $40. I bought two boards a few days ago for $149 and they are $189 as of this morning. Still, a bargain compared to eBay prices on mining boards, esp[ecially considering the CPU, memory, and cooler are all included. And the USB outputs eliminate the need for the PCI-E adapter, which cuts out a potential point of failure.

Looking at the shape of the motherboard, I think the idea is that you mount it just like a gpu. Also instead of the msata you should be able to run hive from a flash drive.

not sure but by the looks when you did all the single graphics card tests the usb looked like it was in the bottom plug which by the sticker config would have been usb 2 it might be order dependent and didn't want to work in that sense.

Have you tried populating all the USB ports from a GPU riser that has a HBA 4x USB card connected to four GPUs?
I've seen it done with 1 USB port via HashRaptor, but what about ALL the ports, and if not, how many of the ports can you populate with the HBA 4x USB card?

nVidia gpus do work with the REBTECH motherboard, you have to update the drivers for the nVidia cards before you put them in.

Joseph, Your doing an immersion tank build! I would love to learn more, about what you are doing.
I found one home set up from a European company with a 1 m square tank that they said will hold 72-96 GPUs. The cost was over $5000, but was done in a simple DIY way. Cut and connect two hoses, add distilled water, and hook up the electric and that is about it.
What have you learned about thermal pads in the dielectric? I keep seeing that the thermal will break down into the dielectric voiding any dielectric warranty. I have yet to find anything to suggest a dielectric safe thermal pad.
I have yet to find an image with GPUs in an immersion tank. How are they arranged in the tank? Is the MB in there as well? What about the PSU? While a server PSU dose not need the cooling of the immersion tank, for a home build it might be worth it to reduce the fan noise.
@@zorner1 Hey! Speaking with Gary from engineered Fluids. The thermal pads are ok in the solution. The issue is thermal grease. I'll post more photos as I go in the gpu mining sub reddit. For our system we are going to try and use the rebtech motherboards. So I build custom frames for them, so they can all be tightly packed in groups of 8 cards.
For our system we will be submersing the psu as well, just because we are putting this all in a container so I rather move that heat out and keep the container environment stable

What was the total power consumption on this rig runningwith GPUs? Then again with just mobo only running without any GPUs?
The small form factor may seem cool but you're gonna use all the space above it with gpus anyway. Although you only need a 6pin to power it, so you can use server PSUs. There are breakout boards with 24pins anyway. Although they are a but more expensive then the base ones with just 6pins. But then again, i don't really know how much those cost.
Didn't they say it works with Nvidia but just don't use igpu (apu)? Why didn't you try that?
Also you should have mentioned it comes with SMOS preloaded...

It works fine on my end with ALL nVidia cards (3070's and 3060ti's)...just NO VIDEO OUT.
You can SSH into it to get info if you need.
how would you run the fans? I found a breakout board w/ 17 of 6pin pcie. 8 gpus plus 8 risers and 1 for the rebtech motherboard. Then how do we power the fans...?
Just got my rebtech, thanks for tips. Helped out alot starting up. Had a question I just got and rx 550 4gb, do you have any overclock/underclock setting that would help me in the right direction. I'm running Nichhash os for now want to switch to hive os but just got the nicehash to work, on pulling 2.1m/h seems low want to get the most out of the setup any help, thanks...

It looks like a great product so I guess its worth the risk of losing the money. They should definitely implement a regular ecommerce transaction system though.

I bought a wire wrack from home depot for $25 and hung six gpus from it with twisty ties haha
I am using spare motherboards, because free. I want to condense everything and draw less power, and this looks exactly like the solution I need!
It looks like I could also use a single Antminer PSU for everything, which would further reduce space and cost!
It works on nvidia cards too, you just don't have a video output so mining only basically.
Doesn't matter with hiveos and the likes

They just emailed me it's still won't work for mining they said. "Great, unfortunately still we didn't have a date when nVidia cards will be fully supported, it is only a patch that is nedded, something like MB BIOS is reading a part of VGA BIOS and nVidia BIOS is in another format so the current MB BIOS cannot read that."
@@RedPandaMining Interesting. I have this MB. I don't understand how @RabidMining and @ChumpChangeXD were able to get NVIDIA 30 series cards to mine in HiveOS on this board? They were both hashing in their videos. I can't get my 3070 to detect at all, and the onboard HDMI displays the boot no matter my BIOS settings. I think I may have a bad riser. Waiting for more to show up.
@@cowpen I've ran these with 7 3090 nvidia and 1 3060 TI; They all worked and this was my easiest setup. One downside, it does not detect the brand of card, which makes it hard to trouble shoot through hiveos. Also, the on board HDMI would not work once cards were plugged in, but I could get visuals plugging into the first GPU. The board takes a 6 pin pci direct from the break out board, which makes this extremely handy.

It says on their website that Nvidia cards will work if you disable onboard video output in the bios.
Then you can only connect to it through SSH or hiveos gui
In fact they seem now to be shipping it with it disabled by default. So nvidia cards work right out of the box :)

I also not using SSD/HDD anymore. Use M.2 NVME to make the motherboard much simpler.
