- In today's video I hit up my local Goodwill Bins and found some amazing finds. I was on a thrifting mission and needed to find some goodies that I could flip and bring to Cranberryfest. I loved that book, too! I read it in 6th or 7th grade. All I remember is that she was stranded on a rocky island with her little brother and had to build a shelter/fence with whale bones and sharpen sticks into spears to fend off the wild dogs.
Finding the angel was synchronicity. ❤

I also collected the angels and had a large amount of them and decided to let them go. I did keep a few, I was at the Goodwill and met a lady that was buying one for a friend of hers whom lost hers in a house fire so I sold all of them to her for 10 dollars to give her friend. They were worth hundreds but that didn't matter I enjoyed them for a long time and now I hope that the new owner will enjoy them for years also. Loved haul and looking forward to the make overs

Island of the Blue Dolphins is one of my childhood favorites. Read it several times.
I loved that book and movie, too. A great find. I would also keep the Robert Browning book but if you research it, it’s worth lots more than you paid. I just love your high-energy enthusiasm and I’m glad you have fun at the bins,or curbs or fishing, etc. Thank you for sharing.

Guitar case: decoupage “Joy to the World” notes and all onto it and sell it as a holiday display that doubles as a means to store holiday stuff (stockings, ornaments, reusable wreaths, garland, etc.) during the rest of the year.

i loved Island of the Blue Dolphins!! my imagination led me to create a back yard 'island' of my own the summer I read it. Great find!
The guitar case is awesome! I like the decoupage idea and maybe some lyrics to a song.
You could also use the guitar case as a shelf. Take off the lid and add the guitar paper inside. Put a couple of shelves inside. Cool for a boy or teens room? But what ever you do will be great.

Use your paper on the back and print a Beatles song on the front over one of your papers.

I would make a bar out of the guitar case.
As someone who plays guitar I wish I had found the case myself since they're so expensive. They sell them on etsy all the time as lighted shelves that look really cool.
Love the huge wooden bocwith the handle and dovetail corners. Pleas dont paint that tackle box. Id love to buy it. The aged color it perfect. I love it
I got my order and can't wait to start using it I also so got some paints that make things look rusted. OOOOHI think they will be beautiful.
I liked the oven mits so I looked them up on eBay. Yikes they go for a lot. I will keep my eye out at thrifts. Good find.
Put shelfs in your case. They are real cute.

I live in north eastren pa. We have 1 goodwill in our area. Its decent but i wish we had a bin one. I watch several diffrent tubers that go to tge bins and its amazing what you all get

I have seen guitar cases on walls opened with shelves on the inside for displaying items.
For the guitar case ... why not stand it up vertically and somehow get it to stay vertical, open it up and build shelving or wire shelves inside the case to use to put knick knacks on or books, collectibles, etc. paint or decopage the outside and / or inside. i'm not sure what condition the inside is like. good luck!

Legs on the guitar case? Idk it might not be strong enough for legs or risers. I just saw o e a long time ago as a coffee table!
The guitar case, old music sheets decoupage to case, iod moulds, with transfers, over the music sheets, you picked up lots of nice stuff❤️

Do we really "need" most of the items we thrift? Probably not but most definitely "want"! The Robert Browning book may have some value to it . Curious to know if it does! Could you cover the heart on the metal wall packet with a mould? I cannot believe that the guitar case was at the bins and that no one bought it before you did. And what a great find on the angel!

What an amazing eye you have. My favorite somehow was that guitar case. I'm so glad you decided to go through with it 🤩 I hope you work with the matte black color that's already there. I hope you fit old dark gray boards in as shelves add a dark bracket to the back to secure it to the wall. It will open like a cabinet and it would be a unique boho piece. Cheers!
Yes, the painting was for sale on goodwill online a couple weeks ago. I saw it on the site….how crazy is that! Also, I own a very similar gold Eagle mirror.
Awesome finds! I wish our local Goodwill stores were filled with finds like that. I love the old wooden box. I think the guitar case would be cool with the decoupage paper and maybe some song lyrics if that wouldn't get you in any kind of copyright trouble. The book Island of the Blue Dolphins, I read in the 4th grade and I absolutely loved it! I would probably keep it and read it again too.

What is it about making money and staying home that’s all people wanna do anymore stay home and make money on TH-cam or thrift thing it’s so stupid why can’t people get jobs anymore no wonder our economy is screwed nobody wants to work they want to sit in front of a camera and do TH-cam and show you what they bought at the thrift store are you kidding me what happened to an eight hour day job oh please get a job
