    That red pottery barn is a piece that you put an apple in it… and bake it. Core the Apple, add butter and cinnamon.

    The red pottery bowl with the spindle in the middle is an apple baker. In love with the bins even though I have to travel a couple of hours. People like us always find things in the bottom of the bins because the bin birds are picking for new stuff. Enjoyed shopping with you.

    My grandparents worked in a cotton mill weaving cloth in Connecticut. The wooden "sticks" are bobbins for the weaving machines. They also had cardboard cones at the mill which they took home when they were empty to use for heat in the stove. I have a bit of a collection of the spools and have them displayed in my antique kitchen cabinet! Great haul! There is a Goodwill outlet not too far from our town, so I think I'm going to have to scope it out. As always, it's fun watching what you find and come up with! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOMORROW, SONNET!!!

      Yes, bobbins. I see them often at estate sales here in NC since the textile industry was so big at one time.

    Crystal things look like stoppers for bar set decanters. Wooden spindles are for spinning fibers, possibly from a mill. The double round aluminum piece is a jello mold.

    The wooden sticks are definitely bobbins used in a weaving mill. I have a small collection of items from cotton and wool mills. The bobbins fit inside the shuttle, and the shuttles fit into a larger machine. I very much enjoyed your video on the bins. Sadly, there are none near me but it looks like it would be an adventure.

    I was watching thrifting at the Goodwill outlet, I was watching your channel and all of a sudden while you were driving, I noticed that the road where your heading is going to the Appleton Goodwill outlet. I go there twice a week, it is fun, but so many resellers are there, all day long. They even take pictures of their finds and post it right away on Ebay. Lot of young people that is their way of making money. Hope to see you sometimes at the bin, I want to vlog at the bin also, but I'm afraid they won't let me do it. I should check your booth in New London, I lived in Menasha, 10 minutes away from the Goodwill outlet. I'm glad I found you. Good luck to you!

    Wow that outlet store seems overwhelming to me and I would have anxiety over those folks waiting to bum rushing those bins. Yikes! At least you scored some nice finds from there even under the crazy circumstances! FYI Wisconsin is beautiful in the snow. I am sure it's not beautiful to deal with and drive in but it's still beautiful to an outsider! =)

    One day I was at the bins and they announced books was $5 per cart, as full as you could get the cart. I call the people who jump at the new bins vultures. They’re professionals. They fill their carts up and then evaluate and then put stuff back anywhere.My husband called the bins one step up from dumpster diving.😂😂😂😂
    I love those houses with all the windows. They look so pretty with tea lights. I have both of the strainers in my kitchen.
    I saw one lampshade redone with book pages.

  • @rhondasales5176
    @rhondasales5176 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's good for books. It's only $.49 a book at ours, which is much better than the other Goodwill's which charge $1.99. All the resellers/pickers do stay all day but it works for me because they don't ever want what I want. Lol I do recommend wearing gloves you be amazed how dirty it really is digging in there. I can't even go to the regular Goodwill anymore because of all you get for the price. Thank you for sharing. Oh and the wood sticks are vintage bobbins.
