That turquoise and metal pot is a tajine, which is used in Middle Eastern and North African cooking. I'd die if I found one like that! It's gorgeous!! 😍😍😍

2 of my favorite things you found is the green pieces you showed at the end. The green lantern is just gorgeous. I'm having a green everything right now and just loving greens!!!

Large candlesticks were beautiful
The feathers would make great angels wings on a tall wood angel for Christmas or a swag.
I'm glad you can get items at such low prices but in your area. In my area they want what DIYers and furniture flippers want.

Oh Sonnet, those suitcases are so cool. And the metal wall hangings, the one I agree with you, black and white distress, but the other, girl I would just leave it and show all of the great patina! That is gorgeous. Excellent find on the blue large planter. It would look great with some taller cotton stems or wheat sprays. That constellation thing would be adorable in a little boys room. The 2 small metal planters are cute with fall florals. I'm still planning to go to "Ye old Goat tomorrow hopefully if I finish all of my preop paperwork quick enough at Bellian. Hope so, I have been looking forward to the trip to the shop for over a month. I'm so glad I found your channel. Finding good thrifting ideas as well as staging and upcyclying. I know you said you weren't a fan of the baking soda technique, have you tried buying talc powder through Amazon ? The chalk paint, equal parts of plain ol paint and talc. Just yesterday my 93 year old friend was telling me about a collection of Occupied Japan figurines she has. I asked her what that meant. She said that after WWII, some Americans "occupied Japan" and made all different items from vases to cups to figurines like she has. After doing some research, I found out that these items were made from 1945 - 1951. I found a matching cup to your Steer Cow Barrel mug online. The seller was asking $12.99 + $8.00 shipping. The seller of the Hillbilly Hugging Barrel mug was asking $12.00 + $9.79 shipping. You got a great buy!

Nice haul. I believe the Amber bottles had Michelob Beer in them! Maybe from the 60's.
8:38 Substitute verdi gris green for the black. Or just paint them white and then distress. People are looking for vintage copper, bronze and tin ceiling tiles. 22:10 A bread rising container? 33:01 Go to JoAnne's and get calico quilting squares and white twine. Take a piece of calico fold into a triangle or in half and tie around the neck with white twine. Cottagecore. Blue, green, barn red, ochre yellow, cream, white. You can even do two colors. The tiles are my faves, the amber glass set, the blue & white lidded jars and then the suitcases. Mom had them stacked with a pile of books with a pair of old metal rimmed reading glasses, a vintage box clock and an etched wine glass on top next to a wing chair.

That wooden reindeer would be cute décor for your cabin that you mentioned before has that sort of rustic wood décor. Unless you only go stay in it during the summer months then maybe not. lol But I would totally use him as a template of how to replicate more of those for selling this Christmas!

I would love to come home with that much stuff we don’t have a good Goodwill and they price everything so high my favorite item was the wooden round thing from Pier One I like different things I would paint it white and distress it white items really stand out it would be pretty just sitting on a shelf or a table
The teal pottery piece with the cool lid is a morrocan tagine vessel, I believe. Looks very mid century! Probably worth some big bucks! Nice find 💕
you could actually use a ceramic drill bit and drill a hole in that yellow fluted bowl and use it as a lamp shade, that would be really cut of with a plant in it

japan was occupied from 42-52. those mugs would be vintage, not antique.
