Yep. The G19 build I showed in the video may actually be a bit more accurate than this CZ based entirely on the fitment and chamber tightness. I've tested it a few times, and it's very close.
a good tool steel slide stop regular recoil springs and a steel guide rod like you have done. yes the floating sear cage is odd, however these pistols run forever when maintained, they are accurate and they fit most hands like no other and they are reliable.
I dunno if i would call it a "good bad gun" Its a product of its time (glocks not withstanding). Its essentially the final and best iteration of the browning system. When it comes to reliability and so on, its really just a personal preference between the 92FS, CZ 75, and Sig 226. (Star 30m has trash parts avaliablity and support, and its also a browning clone)
The FAL is a great design. If all you had a FAL and a Browning High Power... you'd be well served. Through out history both have been used to fight evil.
I hear another huge problem is it has a lot of parts in general, not just moving and one can always make the argument of the less parts, the better or simpler.
Guns are a piece of machinery, machinery breaks down if it’s not maintained. I Prefer CZ’s version of machinery and I maintain it. All machinery eventually breaks if you don’t do your part. 🙄
Gen 1 glock 17 user here. Cleaned it maybe twice since the 90s. Still shoots every other weekend, hunting and piddle farting around in the woods. Maybe I should clean it and see if that breaks it... 🤔
Just depends on what you value. There's no perfect solution, as pistols are very subjective. The same gun that's good at Bullseye shooting may not be good at USPSA or concealed carry. If you enjoy a pistol and you know how to shoot it and work on it yourself, then that's a pistol that works for your use cases. Arguing over "the best" is reductive. It's all about context. I enjoy the CZ75 platform, knowing its drawbacks. It's not a pistol I would recommend for someone just wanting a carry pistol or home defense option. But it's a fine option for someone who can appreciate the platform.
@05:11.. The CZ 75 is NOT a “blow-back” operated gun. It’s a “recoil operated” (aka: “locked breech”) operating pistol. Yes there’s a big difference between blow-back and recoil operated designs.
He says 50k rounds through it. Did you see how filthy and dirty that gun was? He had carbon and oil crap on his fingers from handling the barrel. You couldn’t see the springs or much else of the parts he was complaining about for the dirt and gunk all over them. And this guy complains about the gun? Try cleaning it every now and then. No gun requires no maintenance.
Ok, after watching the whole video and getting past my earlier knee jerk comments (that I still stand by ;) ) I'll first say, Uncle taught me to shoot hand guns in 1982 at Ft Knox with 1911's. After that a CZ75 is _SO_ superior. Actually, even a Glock, much as I dislike them (I did own a G19 for a serious while but I don't regret selling it), is better objectively than a 1911. To be sure a 1911 is a perfectly serviceable weapon and I'd go into any situation with one. I'd be far happier with a CZ, or better my current Jericho. Every firearm is a set of tradeoffs. I think we may just have a somewhat different set of tradeoff points. I think I will subscribe for your firearm content. Not too interested in the bike stuff though, sorry ;)
Ehh yes an no hood fitment is irrelevant, I know guys who tested this with groups, no change. We are talking 1911 smith taking bits more off the hood looking for differences
Lockup and barrel bushing connections are key when trying to make a tilting-barrel browning setup accurate. Like what S&W did with their brass two-piece barrel bushings on their 356 TSW race guns, you gotta get pretty crazy to make substantial accuracy gains. But if a non-fixed barrel pistol can group torso at 40 yards that's still plenty.
Also agree on the inside rail thing, 90% of your accuracy on any locked breech is going to be the barrel fitment.

Yes I heard all the hype about CZ75 it’s very difficult to rack the slide I got one I was not impressed.

I guess it didn't cross this fellow's mind that the CZ75 replicated the Browning Hi-Power MK1.
How do you figure?
@GreenOne01 And P210 and P38. Hence it being the "King of nines"
The CZ is still superior to anything that GLOCK has yet made. Sorry.
And I say F A L too ;)
Facts
He lost me when he brought up Glock .
Yet they still felt the need to copy Glock like every other gun company. Curious.
Agree 100%

You got it all wrong

@diezelvh4133 who cares?
100th Like. 🎉
And now I'm gun shopping.
Is there a flawless pistol within a reasonable price range?
