We hope you enjoy reaction to this sequel! We absolutely loved it! It does exactly what a sequel should do by broadening the characters and creating a new adventure. Top drawer writing! Special mention should go to Thomas F. Wilson who is outstanding in the numerous Biff carnations! We can't wait for Part 3!
I look forward to your videos and it must be so much fun to watch a movie like this with your dad. I never got to so i really love the vibe of your videos and hope you make lots more for years to come! :)
😄 At the end of the last film and at the beginning of this one, it is implied that in the future, vehicles are capable of running on garbage. Then what do we see at the 9:21 mark? 🤪 I wonder if garbage comes out of those gas pumps. You can bet that Texaco paid a hefty sum for that product placement. And notice how one of the key plot elements of the first film, the need for plutonium in order to get the car to function as a time machine, has been quietly abandoned altogether. 😋 Just a couple of the many continuity errors that one has to not pay attention to in order to enjoy this franchise. In the final entry of the series, there are a couple of really in-your-face elements that make no sense at all. I'll point those out after you post it. You two are always entertaining. 😉👍
@GenerationMediaReaction - 47:57 - Strickland is only being facetious when he’s referring to what he’s seeing. Biff removes the dust cover of the almanac (which we know it has, as it’s specifically referred to by the store clerk earlier in the movie) and used it in an attempt to hide the dirty magazine from Strickland. When you see Strickland flip through the magazine, just after taking it from Biff, you can actually see pictures of woman in it, which is why he took it from him. If it were just a sports almanac, he’d have no reason to confiscate it.
Please consider in future video reactions making the movie picture larger and yourselves in a smaller window. This may go against your concept that may work for you but you will probably get more viewers. Love that this is a father and son experience!
The reason why Claudia Wells didn't appear as Jennifer in the sequels is because her mother was very sick at the time...to the point her family didn't even known if she'd survive. Claudia chose to put her family before her job, which I personally commend her for. She eventually did return to the franchise though, voicing Jennifer for the 2010 video game made by Telltale. Also, the reason for Old Biff's pain when he returned to 2015 was explained in the DVD commentary. There was a deleted scene filmed, showing that he actually disappeared as Marty and Doc flew away...meaning that by changing the past he had created a reality where he no longer existed. Bob Gale joked that in his mind, Lorraine probably got fed up with Biff's constant abuse and shot him in 1996!
Here's tonight news for November 12 1955. Two different Deloreans were struck by Lightning tonight. One went to the year 1985 and other to 1885. We have no further details at this time but will update you in a Future broadcast!
@@Hugh-S I spotted him when rewatching the film around 1994 I'd say. Long before he played Frodo Baggins he was quite an accomplished child actor. I was familiar with him from Radio Flyer, Forever Young, The Adventures of Huck Finn and The Good Son by then.
After filming the first film they had not planned on making a sequel, but it did so well that a sequel was green lit. The problem however was they never considered a storyline for Jennifer but were stuck with making one for her due to how part 1 ended. If you notice that’s why they pretty much keep her unconscious throughout the whole film, because they they couldn’t figure a good storyline for her, she was basically a 3rd wheel throughout
I imagine them in the writers room trying to figure out what to do with her and someone just suggesting she be unconscious the whole movie, not thinking people would take them seriously, and then that’s what they ended up doing lol.
The original Jennifer stayed home to take care of her mom, dying of cancer. The new Jennifer is known from _The Karate Kid, Adventures in Babysitting,_ and _Cocktail._ The marquee said that _Jaws 19_ was directed by Max Spielberg (Steven's baby at filming). The same actor who played Griff and all the Biffs did the voice of Biff's grandma, too.
So, apparently universal wanted Back to the future 2 for summer 1989, robert zemeckis and bob gale came back to universal after figuring out the story for the sequel and told universal "we can`t film it for summer 89 but we can for winter 89 and Back to the future 3 for summer 1990". And ended up filming both films back to back.
Unfortunately the original Jennifer's mother had cancer, and Jennifer (Claudia Wells) turned down the role to care for her mother. Claudia Wells will always be the real Jennifer in my opinion.
Your son noticed the different Jenifer straight away , it took me about 25 years ! Maybe cos i only saw them in the cinema at the time and a few years apart from each other. I know Back to the future 2 and 3 were filmed at the same time but released in different years .
There is a deleted scene when after the old Biff bring it back the car in 2015 he'd start feel bad and just get vanish. The explanation for that was he had changed the timeline and somehow after 1985 he got kill by Lorraine in a argue.
It could be that she was just inside the stairwell at the roof, and overheard Biff, went and got another of Biff’s stashed guns, and had a lethal surprise for him when he came to after being knocked out. Without that explanation, though, he could’ve just had a heart attack from the strain of struggling to get his cane out of the DeLorean, dying even before the ripple effect reached that version of 2015.
15:42, The guy in the future (2015) wanting donations for the clock tower is a character named Terry, who you also see in the past (1955), 60 years earlier, 39:40. This actor is also the one who voiced Roger Rabbit, Benny the Cab, Greasy (weasel), and Psycho (weasel) in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", that you reacted to previously.
Love the thumbnail with both of your reactions! This one was particularly funny! In case someone didn't address it already, Strickland was being sarcastic when he commented on the "sporting statistics." There's a particular reason he confiscated the magazine, since it was after school hours so there really wasn't anything wrong with Biff reading a sports magazine. However, perusing through some cheesecake periodical on school property... 😂. I am curious to see what you both think if the final entry in this series. The first one is my favorite, but I really liked the third one because it was quite a bit different.
We spotted Strickland flicking through the a magazine and commenting on it being sports, and wondered about this because he would have seen the Oh La La girls. Your explanation makes sense. We are looking forward to Part 3
November 5th was chosen as it was the birthday of the dad of one of the scriptwriters, and it was convenient to the plot, primarily the school dance. You can’t have a school dance if it was summer when the schools are closed. It was originally going to be 1952, when the writers expected a 1982 release for the film. It became 1955 as the film was eventually set for release in 1985. It’s why in the first film Doc said that 30 years seems a nice round number for his planned time jump. Apparently, audiences cope better psychologically when time jumps are in round numbers. It was the same with Stephen King’s It. The time jumps were 27 years in the book, but 30 years in both film versions.
Expanded universe info, not necessarily from the movies: Douglas Needles is sort of Marty’s rival, and sort of bully (they’re about the same age), but he’s more of the manipulative type (needling people, and using his mother’s money to bribe them into letting him have his way) rather than mostly brute force and intimidation like Biff. He’s not a Hill Valley native, having moved there with his divorced mother in 1979, so he and Marty would have been at least 11 when they met. He held a long grudge against Marty and the Pinheads for not letting him be in the band, because he lied about being able to play guitar (I mean, we know he’s really a bassist 😉), wouldn’t practice, and still tried to show off, even scheming to replace Marty. There is an account of Marty and Doc meeting which involves Needles goading Marty into getting him a replacement part for an amp. Marty found out that “the crazy inventor” had bought up the whole supply in town already. Well, of course, he wasn’t going to stand for being thought of as a chicken, so he decided to sneak into Doc’s place to steal one. Doc caught him, but was impressed with the boy, and liked that he showed interest in the inventions. This is the one I like best, even if it’s not really canonical.
I LOVE THE WAY THAT YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT MOVIES AND THE PEOPLE IN THOSE (CAST AND CREW) THE EXCITEMENT THAT YOU SHOW IS ADMIRALE. YOUR SON IS LUCKY TO HAVE A DAD THAT IS INTO THE MOVIES AND UNDERSTAND THEM. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR CHANNEL. GREETINGS FROM CHIHUAHUA, MÉXICO.
Marty's pause at reading the world series results is interesting. At that time Miami didnt have a team. Even then the Florida Marlins (who would become the miami marlins) didn’t exist until 1993. Then the name didn’t change until 2012. The joke still works since the Marlins and Cubs are both in the NL so they wouldn't face each other in the World Series.
The joy this trilogy has brought to me an my family is just the best ,for me its perfect top of me tree,,,yas in for a real treat like us enjoying your reactions
Well done on this one! My first ever Saturday job as a school boy was at the Odeon Cinema in 1989. Back to the future part II was on and I probably watched it twice a week for 4 weeks. The big discussion at the time was, "wow!, do you think cars will really fly in 2015!?" A small bit of trivia - The date on the 2015 USA Today newspaper is October 22. This is Christopher Lloyd's birthday.
December 1, 2016 Nike MAGs released to the public the actual self-lacing sneakers wore in the movie total cost of a pair at the time of release $350, limited supply were made, now a days worth $14,000 up to $80,000 for a pair.
"The time-traveling is just too dangerous. Better that I devote myself to study the other great mystery of the universe: Women!" Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Elijah Wood. He plays one of the two video game boys to whom Marty (Michael J. Fox) speaks in the Cafe 80's near the start of the film. Scientific Illiteracy Fact: Despite time-travel being impossible due to Entropy and Thermodynamics, Astrophysicist Carl Sagan considered this the greatest time travel movie ever made. He praised the accuracy in handling the multiple time lines as what would really happen if time travel were possible. In Back To The Future: The Game (2010), Carl Sagan is the alias used by Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) when visiting Hill Valley in 1931. Technical Feat Fact: The biggest effect the picture employs is a camera system called the VistaGlide. There are four scenes that use the effect of the same actor interacting with themselves. The four scenes that were shot were Griff and 2015 Biff (Tom Wilson) in the Cafe 80's, the dinner sequence in 2015, 1955 Biff talking to 2015 Biff in the garage, and 1955 Doc (Christopher Lloyd) talking with 1985 Doc. In order to create the dinner sequence with VistaGlide, the camera had to be divided into thirds and Michael J. Fox had to come in three different times to play his older self, Marty Jr., and his daughter Marlene. This is the first film to accomplish interaction between the same actor on the screen twice as two different characters. If you watch closely, you'll see that 2015 Biff's hand disappears during the scene in the garage.
When Old Biff returned, we're led to believe he was dying of a heart attack, but the end of the scene was deleted that showed him die, clutching his chest, collapse to the ground. . . and disappear. That's because in the alternate 1985 he'd created, another deleted scene showed that Lorraine overheard Rich Biff confess to murdering George, and after Doc knocked him out with the DeLorean's door, Rich Biff awoke to see 3rd wife Lorraine standing over him holding his gun, pointed at his chest! Since he was murdered back in the New 1985 for revenge over George, he ceased to exist in the New 2015 he'd created.
Great reaction. Glad you stopped it in time before spoiling Part 3, which was the much better of the 2 sequels. Also glad you showed part 2 all in 1 video. You guys showed the hint (that most people miss entirely) that the time circuits malfunctioned and hinted that Doc will go back to 1855. But you also didn't catch it. You missed a lot of other hints about Part 3, as well. I'm sure you'l enjoy rewatching Part 2 and seeing them after you complete th trilogy. While not as gorgeous as the first Jennifer, the second Jennifer became an Academy Award-nominated actress. She played iconic roles (Ali with an I in the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai universe and The Boys and More). She's also still beautiful today. The most impressive prediction that BTTF 2 got right was that the Cubs would win the World Series. They hadn't won a Championship since 1908, and BTTF 2 only missed it by 1 year, as they won it all in 2016 and haven't won since. They also played a classic NLCS against "MIAMI" (although they were the "Florida Marlins" at the time) as the Marlins won 2 World Series since inception in 1993. They weren't even an MLB franchise when this movie was made. George is upside down because it's a different actor. Crispin Glover didn't return for Parts 2 and 3. He sued because his likeness was used without his permission, and he changed the rule that allowed directors to use images of actors from past movies.
I really think you fellows would like Bill & Ted's excellent adventure. It's a Time machine movie but totally hilarious. Is Stars Keanu Reeves from The matrix and Alex Winter from Lost boys
The sequel Bogus Journey is a rare example of a successful sequel and the third and final Bill and Ted movie that came out just a few years ago was pretty good in many ways finishing up the odds and ends of the storyline in quite cool ways.
They make a ton of foreshadows about the 3rd film with all the talk about the old west, and biff watching a clint eastwood movie, etc. I love how the trilogy flows so nicely from movie to movie, even despite the first movie being intended to be a standalone. even with the ending of 1 where they end up taking Jennifer to the future, they said they never really meant to make a sequel out of that
I really wish they had kept the scene when Biff comes back with the time machine. You can see he’s struggling. There’s a deleted scene where he ends up disappearing. Dying essentially. Because when he went and changed the past, it affected him in the future, which basically made him not exist. A cool scene I think they could’ve kept in. Obviously they most likely got rid of it for pacing.
No, he was disappearing. Kind of like Marty did in the first movie. When he was getting weak and then started to disappear. If you actually look on TH-cam, the scene is available.
@@GenerationMediaReaction Before DVD and that deleted scene we generally thought that 2015 Biff was reacting to having broken his arm trying to get out of the DeLorian when he returned to 2015. His cane was snapped off when he tried to get out resulting in quite a whip to his right arm. I need to look at the special features on the Blu-ray set, perhaps the commentary, as I have a feeling that's why they deleted the scene as they instead wanted it to look like he had broken his arm instead.
Back to the Future 4 is generally considered to be the Back to the Future game. A point and click type adventure game that has a pretty decent storyline that ties in. Also there was a Back to the Future cartoon series that kinda follows on from the ending of part 3. And as a fun fact. A few years ago Nike actually produced a pair of shoes for M.J Fox that looked just like the shoes he wore in 2015 and yes, they actually did have "power laces". They are the only pair in existence and we're made simply as a gift to M.J Fox now he has Parkinson's disease. You should be able to find a video of him actually putting them on.
The little boy in orange who is playing video games with Marty is Elijah Wood in his first ever movie. The same Elijah Wood who is the star of the Lord of the rings movies
btw, one think i used to joke abut is when biff said "you stole my stuff" how bad i wanted marty to say (which he really could not) well you see Biff, i actaully paid for this bookwith my own money. therefore it is MY book. your olderself from60 years tok it out of the garbage can so i am just taking back my own stuff
Did you notice Roger rabbit in the store window? The guy that talks to Marty about the clock is the voice of roger rabbit while Christopher was the bad toon with the dip
@GenerationMediaReaction I love finding out all I can about my favorite movies and musicians. Charles fletcher (or something like that) I've only found like 1 video showing him doing the voice - but that was a long time ago. Sure there's more now
The heavily made-up man trying to save the clock tower ( who did have a very small part in the 1955 segment of this film) is Charles Fleischer, best known as the voice of Roger Rabbit. Grandpa threw his back out so there would be an excuse to have him upside-down - the better to hide the fact that it's not Crispin Glover. And isn't it dramatically convenient that old Biff knows exactly how to use the time machine.
There are spoilers in the preview, but sitting in the theater after waiting 25% of my life for this one, all the rumors... That preview and date drop had everyone beaming!
With my username, it's kinda obvious I'm a big Back To The Future fan lol. I consider it the greatest trilogy ever made. In fact, I consider them the greatest movies ever made. Your son picked up many details, smart fellow. Also, I do hope you continue with The Matrix Trilogy. I consider that the second best trilogy ever made.
Theres an even deeper layer to this movie :) Did you wonder how doc always knows when marty is in trouble and can help him in the perfect time, and where did he get all the money from the different times? He has a time machine. So it seems that doc only knows it because it happened.. and then he went back to get marty in time ;) Marty might have died several times in different timelines in this movie and you dont even realize it :D :D Also theres a deleted scene where you can see future biff disintegrating after he leaves the delorean :) thats why he is so out of breath
It would be funny if the western union guy found the hoverboard after Marty runs to town and then changes the future. Plus l’ve always wondered where old Biff hid the Delorean in 1955.
1. It's not often sequels hold up to the original, but this does. Thank you 1980s. 2. IMVHO this one is the best of the trifecta. The next one is inventive but I'm not really into the story. That said, it is the perfect wrap.🤩🤩🤩 3. The stunt woman that flew into the glass window partially missed and injured her arm. 4. Michael J. Fox also played Marty's daughter. 5. Sammy Hagar, "I can't drive 55"😎 6. Good thing Biff shoots like a Star Wars stormtrooper🤣 7. The tunnel at the end is the same one they used for Tune Town in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
in case you and your son are wondering about doc being in 1885 and why and why the car dissappeard and the 9s so earlier the time circuits were malfunctioning kept swithing from Jan 1 1885 to 1985, doc said, i need to get that thing fixed. so the glitch setting was jan 1 1885 whihc is why the old west was the destination. as for what happened, the lighting caused the car to spin really fast, and it got rotational speed of 88 mph with the malfunction cauing him to go to that date.
@@GenerationMediaReaction- Yup. There was another famous movie around the same time that also had a very obvious caricature of Donald Trump. Obviously, I'm not talking about Home Alone 2 where the real Trump appeared.
@@GenerationMediaReaction - Since you asked, Gremlins 2. I figured that I might avoid the spoiler in case you would watch it. There's a billionaire in it called, rather obviously, "Daniel Clamp." 😂
Got a movie ya both might like, one of my favs. John Carter. Didnt do well at box office due to bad marketing. But its based off the Princess of Mars book series, which inspired Dune, Flash Gordon, Star Wars, Star Trek and many others. Might feel a bit derivative today since a lot used it as a basis for their scifi universes, but John Carter is a really fun movie, deff think youd both really would like it
The reason the second movie finishes the movie with a trailer is because the director hated the Empire Strikes Back didn't have a trailer for Return of the Jedi at the end of it. So the trailer for part 3 is actually part of the directors intent.
i don't think marty necessarily needed to look at the first page. he bought the magazine in 2015 the lady told him how books used to have dust covers. biff used that on the girlie magazine. which they already lost. so at this point that was the only other thing and it was clearly a full book
When Strickland grabs the book, he flicks through it looking at it, comments on it being a sporting book, puts it in his pocket and walks away. We missed how it became the Oh La La book inside
As a kid watching it the 1st time a was always confused with the stairwell part ,wer he went down then managed to come up without being caught, then a found out they built an extra stairwell bravo 👏
Though most of the cast of the first movie came back, as you noticed, Jennifer was recast. More importantly, though, Crispin Glover refused. He had issues with the first movie, and the writers. The idea of George being dead came from working around his absence, and for the few scenes where he did appear, they used a few outtakes, and a new actor was brought in with makeup to make him look like Glover. Glover sued, resulting in stronger rules against unauthorised use of someone's likeness. You mentioned that old Biff looked injured. There was a deleted scene, or rather continuation of this scene, where he actually vanished. He had interfered with his own past self, and this version of him was apparently about to be erased from existence, like Marty nearly was in the first movie. You seemed to miss the part where Doc banged the controls, and the destination year shifted from 1985 to 1885. I never thought the preview at the end spoiled much. It told us that they would go to the old West, but we already knew that. Not much else could be understood without the context.
@@GenerationMediaReactionEarlier in the movie the time circuits start acting up just as they are about to go from 2015 to 1955 and Doc hits them to fix them claiming he really must get around to fixing them.
It's bugged me since i saw it in the theater. The Delorian's power plant is called Mr Fusion but he fills it with a banana peel, beer and a beer can. This is not how fusion works. This would be a total annihilation engine which would be way more advanced and much cooler
Hey fellas, it’s been a while. Great movie choice… hopefully at some point you can watch the national lampoons Christmas vacation or European vacation.. or the Terry Pratchett color of magic movie
So when this was released there hadn't been 2-part films before. Sequels were all "stand-alone" films. I remember there was some audience backlash that it wasnt "finished" yet. They knew that part 2 and 3 were being filmed simultaneously (also a first), but they expected this one to end, and then a new story for part 3. They were upset that it was a cliffhanger as opposed to a teaser for a sequel (like the end of the first film). They felt they were being extorted into having to see the 3rd one, instead of having the choice to see it. Nobody cheered at the end of the film when I saw it at the cinema. There were frustrated loud moans and people threw popcorn at the screen.
@@zanyzander so we have already recorded out reaction to BTTF3 by the way, and then went back to watch the 'trailer' for it at the end of BTTF2... have to say., that trailer was not necessarily a good idea, especially if what you say is that it made people feel cheated then
Firstly it was the words "To Be Concluded" which confirmed that the story had basically been unceremoniously stopped half-way through, and then the date following the trailer that said it was SIX MONTHS before they could see it. @GenerationMediaReaction
@@zanyzander I can see that as annoying. It annoyed me with Dune recently as i didn't know I was going in for the first half only. Still havent seen the second half
Also about a "fourth film" there was a cartoon show in the 90s, that aired in the States (don't know if it was in the UK) that took place after the third film. Though it was not that great.
there was. and also there was a computer game produced by bob Gale that someone condensed into a story line that would be like parts 4 and 5 and make sense withthe time lins
Yes it was on TV in the UK as I watched the whole thing in the 90's. It kinda follows on a bit from part 3 showing various cartoony scenarios that Doc, Marty and a few other characters that won't be mentioned as they haven't been introduced yet. However the BTTF game is generally thought of as a forth movie. Annoyingly the recent dvd release of the TV cartoon series was supposed to get a UK release with the latest Blu-ray but they dropped it last minute so I had to import the region 1 set. Before this dvd release the series was only ever released almost complete on laserdisc. VHS releases only had a few random episodes per tape, a common practice back in the day.
doc said when they fixed teh past everything would return around jen and einstein. so seeing george was alive and doc was not committed, that means the future was fixed and jennifer would be fine bascially
@@GenerationMediaReaction well that is true, with how insanely deatiled the people making ththis movie were, there is defintely a lot to think about. of course you probably realize i have watched all 3 movies in my life at least 40 of 50 x each if not more lol. :)

@@GenerationMediaReactionI love Demolition Man. The only problem I personally have with it is I think the time jump is a little bit too short, I think a bit of a further jump perhaps. If old Biff went back to 1955 and changed the future of 1985...how come it didn't change the 2015 future? Because it would've been the future of the alternate 1985.
The ripple effect doesn’t seem to be immediate across time, like how Marty didn’t disappear right away in the first movie. It’s more like the probability of the timeline fades gradually as the ripples catch up.

I imagine them in the writers room trying to figure out what to do with her and someone just suggesting she be unconscious the whole movie, not thinking people would take them seriously, and then that’s what they ended up doing lol.
The original Jennifer stayed home to take care of her mom, dying of cancer.
The new Jennifer is known from _The Karate Kid, Adventures in Babysitting,_ and _Cocktail._
The marquee said that _Jaws 19_ was directed by Max Spielberg (Steven's baby at filming).
The same actor who played Griff and all the Biffs did the voice of Biff's grandma, too.
Boom!!! Wow!
What an achievement !
Such a smart kid. He picks up on so many clever details. I'm impressed!
He’s getting a home schooling in film studies !

Well, that seems reasonable enough to me.
You are absolutely going to LOVE the third edition. In my opinion these are the most well crafted , brilliantly executed films Zemekis has ever made.
We are really looking forward to Part 3
Unfortunately the original Jennifer's mother had cancer, and Jennifer (Claudia Wells) turned down the role to care for her mother. Claudia Wells will always be the real Jennifer in my opinion.
Ah that sucks for her
@@GenerationMediaReaction Have you guys seen karate kid where this jennifer also acted?

Elisabeth Shue was a good replacement
Your son noticed the different Jenifer straight away , it took me about 25 years ! Maybe cos i only saw them in the cinema at the time and a few years apart from each other. I know Back to the future 2 and 3 were filmed at the same time but released in different years .
The son is one smart cookie for sure.
There is a deleted scene when after the old Biff bring it back the car in 2015 he'd start feel bad and just get vanish. The explanation for that was he had changed the timeline and somehow after 1985 he got kill by Lorraine in a argue.
Ah, yeah that was not concluded the way he seemed injured
It could be that she was just inside the stairwell at the roof, and overheard Biff, went and got another of Biff’s stashed guns, and had a lethal surprise for him when he came to after being knocked out.
Without that explanation, though, he could’ve just had a heart attack from the strain of struggling to get his cane out of the DeLorean, dying even before the ripple effect reached that version of 2015.
Old Biff died because of his interaction with himself in 1955
15:42, The guy in the future (2015) wanting donations for the clock tower is a character named Terry, who you also see in the past (1955), 60 years earlier, 39:40. This actor is also the one who voiced Roger Rabbit, Benny the Cab, Greasy (weasel), and Psycho (weasel) in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", that you reacted to previously.
That kid in the 80s cafe in the red shirt is a young Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins)
Wow, we missed that !
Interesting detail, thanks for sharing
Nice!! Another great reaction! Keep it up, gentleman! 😊👍🏼
Thank you! Will do!
I hadn’t thought of this link before, and how they are both guitarists!
You were right about the same tunnel being used in " Who Framed Roger Rabbit ".
Must have been close to the director's house ;-)
The Observatory Tunnel, not far from the Hollywood sign.

Great watch 🎉❤!! Can’t wait for the last installment !!😅
Im glad you got the homage to It's a Wonderful Life
Makes us want to do that film, maybe closer to Christmas
Well done on this one! My first ever Saturday job as a school boy was at the Odeon Cinema in 1989. Back to the future part II was on and I probably watched it twice a week for 4 weeks. The big discussion at the time was, "wow!, do you think cars will really fly in 2015!?" A small bit of trivia - The date on the 2015 USA Today newspaper is October 22. This is Christopher Lloyd's birthday.
Glad you enjoyed it
11:30 That's Elijah Wood! His first movie appearance.
I know only now, from the comments, wish we had known it watching the film.
December 1, 2016 Nike MAGs released to the public the actual self-lacing sneakers wore in the movie total cost of a pair at the time of release $350, limited supply were made, now a days worth $14,000 up to $80,000 for a pair.

you're welcome ! We watched BTTF3 already and will edit it for next week upload (spoiler alert - we were not disappointed!)
"The time-traveling is just too dangerous. Better that I devote myself to study the other great mystery of the universe: Women!"
Fun Fact: Theatrical movie debut of Elijah Wood.
"Contact" - When Carl Sagan and Robert Zemeckis shine !
Yayyy! ❤ I was hoping youd watch this one. The twists are epic! 😊
It's awesome
OMGGGGGG THERE IS A ROGER RABBIT PLUSHIE IN THE ANTIQUE STORE WINDOOOOW KLKÑADJAJKD
It’s a shame this wasn’t explained. At the time we thought that Old Biff had encountered conflict/drama on his 1955 mission … but it wasn’t
Old Biff wasnt injured when he came back, he was having a heart attack but the scene was deleated.
Thank you, this is really interesting. We look forward to Part 3

I love how the trilogy flows so nicely from movie to movie, even despite the first movie being intended to be a standalone. even with the ending of 1 where they end up taking Jennifer to the future, they said they never really meant to make a sequel out of that
I think they did pretty well to give her the exposition story line all things considered then
I really wish they had kept the scene when Biff comes back with the time machine. You can see he’s struggling. There’s a deleted scene where he ends up disappearing. Dying essentially. Because when he went and changed the past, it affected him in the future, which basically made him not exist. A cool scene I think they could’ve kept in. Obviously they most likely got rid of it for pacing.
It stood out to us that he appeared ‘injured’ and at the time we thought it was due to an incident or something.
Oh wow, will try and find that video. Perfect marketing from Nike there !
The little boy in orange who is playing video games with Marty is Elijah Wood in his first ever movie. The same Elijah Wood who is the star of the Lord of the rings movies

I don't know if you noticed, Marty Mcfly wasn't wearing his Calculator Watch at the end of the last Back To The Future film.
Didn’t notice that. What do you think it means? Just a continuity error?
The heavily made-up man trying to save the clock tower ( who did have a very small part in the 1955 segment of this film) is Charles Fleischer, best known as the voice of Roger Rabbit. Grandpa threw his back out so there would be an excuse to have him upside-down - the better to hide the fact that it's not Crispin Glover. And isn't it dramatically convenient that old Biff knows exactly how to use the time machine.
The mechanic that fixed Biffs car is the voice of Roger Rabbit.
Wow, didn’t know this

Did you wonder how doc always knows when marty is in trouble and can help him in the perfect time, and where did he get all the money from the different times? He has a time machine. So it seems that doc only knows it because it happened.. and then he went back to get marty in time ;) Marty might have died several times in different timelines in this movie and you dont even realize it :D :D Also theres a deleted scene where you can see future biff disintegrating after he leaves the delorean :) thats why he is so out of breath
i have heard that but i don't think so.
It would be funny if the western union guy found the hoverboard after Marty runs to town and then changes the future.

This could have been given more screen time maybe
1. It's not often sequels hold up to the original, but this does. Thank you 1980s.
2. IMVHO this one is the best of the trifecta. The next one is inventive but I'm not really into the story. That said, it is the perfect wrap.🤩🤩🤩

7. The tunnel at the end is the same one they used for Tune Town in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
Good notes, thank you
in case you and your son are wondering about doc being in 1885 and why and why the car dissappeard and the 9s
so earlier the time circuits were malfunctioning kept swithing from Jan 1 1885 to 1985, doc said, i need to get that thing fixed.
so the glitch setting was jan 1 1885 whihc is why the old west was the destination.
as for what happened, the lighting caused the car to spin really fast, and it got rotational speed of 88 mph with the malfunction cauing him to go to that date.
That makes sense, thanks
A Dalorean does exist in 1885. When doc got smacked by the lightning the car went with him.
Biff actually was modeled after eighties trump. And I think you're the only reactor to catch that similarity.

Thank you for the suggestion
We who saw this at the cinema had to wait 6 months for part 3. The teaser at the end was just torture.
Those darn film marketing people!
The reason the second movie finishes the movie with a trailer is because the director hated the Empire Strikes Back didn't have a trailer for Return of the Jedi at the end of it. So the trailer for part 3 is actually part of the directors intent.
That’s interesting. It may have worked on its release in the cinemas
15:55 it is kind of interesting that they were only off by one year on the Cubs Winning the World Series in reality they won in 2016.
i don't think marty necessarily needed to look at the first page. he bought the magazine in 2015 the lady told him how books used to have dust covers. biff used that on the girlie magazine. which they already lost. so at this point that was the only other thing and it was clearly a full book
When Strickland grabs the book, he flicks through it looking at it, comments on it being a sporting book, puts it in his pocket and walks away. We missed how it became the Oh La La book inside

@@GenerationMediaReaction oh that’s right
Yes, the tunnel is the same one from Roger Rabbit.
Saw it, but didn't understand the significance at that time
@@GenerationMediaReactionEarlier in the movie the time circuits start acting up just as they are about to go from 2015 to 1955 and Doc hits them to fix them claiming he really must get around to fixing them.
23:37 En prêtant l'oreille, on distingue la chanson qu'il... n'arrive plus à jouer, à savoir "The Power Of Love" de Huey Lewis.
It's bugged me since i saw it in the theater. The Delorian's power plant is called Mr Fusion but he fills it with a banana peel, beer and a beer can. This is not how fusion works. This would be a total annihilation engine which would be way more advanced and much cooler

@@GenerationMediaReaction The last time I priced them, they went for $700
So when this was released there hadn't been 2-part films before.
Ah yes cant think of another example at that time. Unless maybe Empire Strikes Back, but that doesn't really count
Ay yes! Empire! The audience all collectively moaned loudly in discontent at the end of my screening of BTTF2. @GenerationMediaReaction

@@Johnadams20760 That's right. I forgot. And I had that game too. It was fun. No longer have the computer though. It was a 2009 iMac.

Here but looks like they don't stock it anymore. Good shop though if you didn't know about it before... www.lastexittonowhere.com/news/2020/oct/15/universal-language-t-shirt-inspired-2016-film-arri/
I feel like in the real 2015, that "deaf and stupid" comeback would not fly well. Everyone there would be like, "Wow McFly, why are you making fun of the deaf. Not cool, dude. You need to be woke"
Makes me want to do Demolition Man!
@@GenerationMediaReaction I think you should really do Blazing Saddles and the movie Airplane.
@@GenerationMediaReactionI love Demolition Man. The only problem I personally have with it is I think the time jump is a little bit too short, I think a bit of a further jump perhaps. Other than that the whole movie is crazy fun.
And to think it was only released on Blu-ray in HD last year. Of course I paid the £30 they were asking for it lol!
👏👏💛
If old Biff went back to 1955 and changed the future of 1985...how come it didn't change the 2015 future? Because it would've been the future of the alternate 1985.
The ripple effect doesn’t seem to be immediate across time, like how Marty didn’t disappear right away in the first movie. It’s more like the probability of the timeline fades gradually as the ripples catch up.
This is so spot on. It stays within the rules of the story’s lore
As soon as we rolled into 2015; where oh where is my hoverboard that back to the future promised me! 😂
It was only a couple of months ago that someone said to me, if they made back to the future today, Marty would only go back to 1994! I’ve never been hit so hard by mortality 😕
