    Been using Reel for a few months, now.... I agree with everything you mentioned!!!! Also, I noticed that the center roll is super sturdy and perfectly round (doesn't flatten at all)!!!!

    I would have appreciated a rating on absorbency and cost effectiveness compared to regular commercial toilet paper brands but great review. Thank you!

    Thanks for the detailed review, Kristen!
    I just bought some Caboo bamboo/sugarcane toilet paper (because it was the only thing available). I haven't tried it yet; I'm waiting to get through my current package of regular toilet paper. I was a little worried that the quality might be like 1950s-era Soviet Union toilet paper, but your reviews are assuaging those concerns.
    One thing I really like about the ordinary toilet paper I was getting, the Costco brand, is that their sheets are 4.5" x 4", which is above average and nicely shields your hand. But these days I'll take what I can get.
    If I may offer one minor suggestion: the other two things toilet paper is often used for* are blowing your nose and wiping your eyes after waking up in the morning; it would be nice to know if bamboo toilet paper is too rough or abrasive for either of those functions.
    * Okay, I guess we men also use it when we cut ourselves shaving--but for that we could make do with pretty much anything.

    I know this is nearly a year old, but I'm a renter too. There are bidets that you screw in under the toilet seat. Had a friend tell me about this and I've never looked back. I still use paper to dry off afterwards, but my butt is cleaner and I use less paper.

    • @StrollingThroughLife

      iced fire I’ve actually installed the Tushy bidet attachment since making this video. And it works so well!! Even though I’m renter still, I went for it. Luckily we didn’t have any leaks and it went smoothly! I’m glad you had the same experience!! It’s definitely a game changer! 😊💚🌏 A bidet is more eco-friendly but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea haha.

    I've been using Grove for a couple of years. Disclaimer: the shipping boexes are HUGE! I am looking to try this instead because the quality has changed with the Grove bamboo toilet paper. It's 3-ply has become quite thin and crumbly these days. I can no longer justify the cost.

    I know it's not a type of bamboo toilet paper, but you should try cottonelle. Cottonelle even though it doesn't actually advertise it all of their toilet paper is recycled. You can actually find that brand just about anywhere. That's why I really like that brand.

      @@StrollingThroughLife now the super soft ones do you use fresh tree pulp to make it soft, but when you find the normal version it's all recycled and doesn't use any tree pulp.

    So excited for this series! I’m currently using the bamboo TP from Who Gives A Crap and I’m not a fan. It doesn’t tear neatly and it’s really rough on the tush. It’s sort of like wiping with paper towels. I really wanted to like them because I love their mission, but it’s not working for me. Plus, it’s so expensive. Like you, I have a whole box to go through. 😩 I would like a review on Bippy, No 2, and HelloTushy (bidet). Thanks for sharing your opinions! 💚

      Chiming in to say I have a HelloTushy bidet attachment, as an earth warrior I SHOULD be using it but like many modern humans it's a learning curve. So I primarily use toilet paper. I just ordered REEL so I can reduce my waste even more on plastic-wrapped albeit recycled-TP. The high price tag of REEL will encourage me to use my bidet more often!

    19.99 for 24 rolls wasn't a bad price. Nowadays it's more like $35 dollars... almost double the price it used to be

    • @101perspective
      @101perspective ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it seems overpriced considering they don't pay much for packaging and stuff. Plus, it sounds like they don't even have to worry about replanting and stuff like that. Pretty much a never ending supply of the resources needed to make it. They also don't have to give the stores a cut of the profit. They do pay more for shipping but considering all of the above would think their prices would still be lower, not 20 to 30% higher.

  • @reissval
