The reason why I became a fan of Lana because of the 50s-90s song references. And the fact that she has collab'ed with Stevie Nicks, Sean Ono Lennon, dated Axl Rose, and now performing with Joan Baez!!!!! What a lucky queen.

The beautiful Lana does add her nice harmonies in with the Legend's lead vocals... I've loved Joan Baez since I was a child in the 1960's. She has always been captivating to me. And now....so soft and ethereal-like...haunting even, Lana added so much with so little actually added. It's really nice seeing the artistry from different generations come in to today. I loved it!! ⚪💚 🎩 🌙
I grew up listening to Joan's beautiful voice. My Dad had all her records and he passed them on to me when he died. I so wish he could've seen this. Thank you, Lana. Love you!!!
Joan does the “official” version of “Diamonds” here; at her own concerts she ends it with a joke: “If you’re offering me diamonds and rust / Well, I’ll take the diamonds.”
And She sang “50 years ago” ** knowing that story behind since she sang 20 years ago… (reference in a novel) My eyes immediately filled with tears already……. Some heartbreak you’ll never stop counting , .. even your life has carried on
This just blew my mind. I really need to hear Lana do a full cover of Diamonds and Rust. I can see she gets much of her inspiration from Joan....as we all should lol. Legend. Also, Joan's "older" voice is incredible. It's like a whole new Joan Baez. Thanks for the upload!

Lana, muy bueno que vos mediante nuevas generaciones conozcan a líderes de la Paz como Joan Baez a pesar de tantos intento de que desaparezcan de la cultura popular.
82/almost 83. The woman outlived 3/4 of my grandparents, and still writes and still cares snd still sings.
Joan is 79 years old here, still sings and plays as beautifully as ever!

Great to see younger singers getting together with the greats of the '60's!
For me, Joan Baez is the most important female musican, of the 20th century. Saw her last time in 2012, when she still was over 70. Just great...!
@@melchiorvonsternberg844 I saw her twice. In the early '70's and in '79 or '80. I absolutely love her! One of my heroes.
I almost cried at the end Joan Baez is so beautiful in every way! Thanks Lana for bringing a legend on stage
Lana and Joan Baez singing a Baez composition ABOUT Dylan. Some people think he wrote it. It’s pure Joan.
He did write dont think twice, its alright though didnt he?
@@bobhall1515 Still works as a knife in his back!
If you mean don’t think twice he definitely wrote it
Really? I always thought it was Bob...thanks for telling it's "pure Joan" :)))
@@mihirhardas8297 they meant DIAMONDS AND RUST. JOAN wrote that. DYLAN did pen 'dont think twice'.

Those lyrics are surprisingly very much like what Lana writes. Joan is such a legend

Miley does that too
Only lana and miley Cyrus remember the singers they were listening to and bring them to their shows 🤍
The way Lana admires Joan when she’s singing the bridge makes me ahead a tear 🥺💞
She is 78 in this video and she can still sing.
There are very few singers who sound as good when they are old as they did when they were young, Joan is definitely one of them.
This song brings me to tears every time I hear it. The tenderness of that one true love in one’s past just brings me to my knees
Well, I'll be damned
Here comes your ghost again
But that's not unusual
It's just that the moon is full
And you happened to call
And here I sit
Hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I'd known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall
As I remember your eyes
Were bluer than robin's eggs
My poetry was lousy you said
Where are you calling from?
A booth in the midwest
Ten years ago
I bought you some cufflinks
You brought me something
We both know what memories can bring
They bring diamonds and rust
Well, you burst on the scene
Already a legend
The unwashed phenomenon
The original vagabond
You strayed into my arms
And there you stayed
Temporarily lost at sea
The Madonna was yours for free
Yes, the girl on the half-shell
Could keep you unharmed
Now I see you standing
With brown leaves falling all around
And snow in your hair
Now you're smiling out the window
Of that crummy hotel
Over Washington Square
Our breath comes out white clouds
Mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me
We both could have died then and there
Now you're telling me
You're not nostalgic
Then give me another word for it
You who are so good with words
And at keeping things vague
'Cause I need some of that vagueness now
It's all come back too clearly
Yes, I loved you dearly
And if you're offering me diamonds and rust
I've already paid

But don't think twice, it's all right
This was so good for my soul❤️
