While i think low profile keyboard will grow in terms of space in this hobbies. But just like hall-effect stuff. The market is still new. So maybe new innovation like switches or maybe keycap or even mounting / looks of the keyboard can be explored. So can't wait to see how big these low profile goes inside this rabbit hole
@@5alidshammout while there's low profile keyboard before. But the mass produced one is still considered new in my opinion because before the market is still growing
@@Valsxy Logitech would like a word with you lol. The only difference here is that there are now low profile keyboard makers who are taking design cues, manufacturing etc from the "normal height" keyboards. The quality has rocketed up since 2019 - Nuphy, AZIO, Keychron etc have all gotten into this game.
I think the reason why low profile isn’t as popular is because of mainly the keycaps, your options are very limited so you might need to wait for manufacturers to make low profile keycaps on the colorway/novelties you want
I have a request. Can you expose Lofree on how it handles their potential customers right now? Lofree doesn't make Hades as a default. The Price goes above $130 + VAT that way. They also promote 90 switches but don't get the issue to sell a 100 keys keyboard with it.
I second this firmly. Their responses, extremely shady marketing, predatory accessory options, and extremely rude direct replies have absolutely soured me as a potential customer. If you need sources just check out the Lofree subreddit. It has dozens of posts about it.
I'm optimistic about the future of low profile keyboards. What I want is just more switch variety, right now everything is just light linears which are a no-go for me.
I think Low Profile Keyboards are now my thing in keyboards, been looking for some online & some popular keyboard brands got good ones. (I heard low profile keyboards give you the feel of a laptop keyboard)
Barebones (at least I think it will be bare bones) is going to run me $84. You got me at that price point. I'll probably get some Ambients. This will be a perfect keyboard to use with my tablet pc. I've been wanting to try low profile chocolate switches for a while.
i haven't owned any low profile keyboards yet and im planning to buy this. if i like brown switches (tactile, silent), what switches for the lofree lite can i get as close to brown switches?
Such a shame, given how Lofree’s been handling customer criticism regarding this keyboard I would’ve loved to get one, but now it just feels icky after seeing how they’ve responded to us - especially those who signed up for VIP (myself included)
@ They admitted that the Hades switches are an unfinished product, and that they’re selling them in the Kickstarter for “buyer feedback” Aka: it’s a paid beta test they didn’t think to disclose as a beta test until there were only a few days left for the Kickstarter, and they only disclosed it on the subreddit & not on any of their main social media accounts, meaning that the majority of the ppl who backed the Kickstarter likely don’t even know
Wait is it Friday?! Anyway, I've been a low pro enjoyer since the Nuphy Air75 in 2021... I still enjoy that brand (I have the v2 of the Air75, and a Halo65) but Lofree seems to continue to have better low profile products whereas Nuphy seems to go after just about every kind of pre-built.
I like low profile keebs because they're convenient for travel. As much as I like my neo65, that thing is a brick... I'd like to try a Lofree or nuphy, but my Keychron K7 is currently serving me well.

interesting… i’ll look into it
shoot, I did not recognize that. I don't need Spectre for my office; and I bought the 100 keys keyboard.
The FAQ states if you order the 90 keys you get 106 for the 100 key keyboard.
@@SideQuestStijn To be honest, they had to change the FAQ because of the minor backlash. I have forfeit my backing already.

Hi Lewis!! My fav keyboard review channel by a far
it's 3 pin, not 5 pin, he just messed that up. you can see it on the switch as well, at some point in the video, where he shows it.
Anybody get a confirmation email from the early bird kickstarter?
It's awesome! But I would like it even more if it has a speed switch so I am waiting for something like that!
