This led to Central Time Zone stations keeping Y&R at 11(then 11-12) and bumping Search for Tomorrow to 12:30pm in those markets, so they could keep their local news at Noon.
I loved Sherry Mathis as Liza and I loved Sonia Petrovna as Renata. The character of Renata should’ve never been killed off, as Travis had just found his half-sister and I loved Renata and David’s love story!
Sonia Petrovna and Chris Goutman....Chris played Matt Sharkey, the orderly who held Nancy Karr at the Rexford Clinic, and Sonia played Martine Duval, Gavin's ex who was Sky Whitney's lover.
and there are actors that went on to Search for Tomorrow after The Edge Of Night like the original Nicole Travis Drake, Maeve McGuire, and the actor that played Elliot Dorn, Lee Godart. Both are excellent actors I think. I started really watching Edge when that mobster with a mystery island was trying to have her killed and every Friday for weeks or months someone was about to shoot her from behind a bush or something when the show ended for the week and that was the cliffhanger. Got me hooked but then after a while I realized they weren't ever going to really kill her off. They did have her character die before the show ended in 1984 though.

Back when soaps were soaps not some fantastic male oriented plot but just a simple nice story.
